Cutie Mark: An open scroll with a mismatched symbol on on, which may (or may not) be a compass. It is symbolic of her path through life - following her own course and learning from her own mistakes, rather than those of others. This quality has resulted in a curious condition where Wish learns by 'doing' extremely quickly, but fails to grasp even the simplest of concepts without practice.

Personality: Wish Scribe is a bright young mare: she might not have gone onto higher education but she is smart enough to figure things out for herself with a little concentration. She learns quickly from 'doing' things and is very 'hooves on' in her approach to problems.<br /><br />After making a promise to her brother to always look out for herself - no matter what - she tries to do so, but finds selfishness almost impossible to achieve. Her good-nature and desire to help combined with the naivety of youth mean that she often makes mistakes that she later regrets. She is very quick to trust others.<br /><br />On discovering actual 'adventure' she was in for a shock: that it wasn't the life that she had expected. Not to be dissuaded, Wish continued on - not allowing herself falter in her ways. The world was a bright, beautiful place and she wasn't going to allow the somewhat grim moments spoil it for her.

Backstory: Born to a farming family just outside of Trottingham, Wish grew up with her parents and brother. All was well - there were no assassins or dark plagues in her childhood - the worst they suffered were the occasional 'less than ideal' harvest. A purely Earth Pony family as far back as anyone could remember, her brother tended to stick out - being a unicorn. On discovering when appeared to be a suit of armor designed for a unicorn in a previously unexplored cellar under a barn, Scribe became restless. He wanted to know who he was - find out his history. As much as he loved his sister, he needed to know about himself.<br /><br />After her brother left home, Wish became restless. He wrote to her for a while, but when the letters suddenly stopped arriving she began to worry. She wanted to go out into the world and find him - naturally, her parents were having none of it. After several months with still no contact from her brother, she left home to follow him on his journey.<br /><br />If would have helped if she had known where he had gone. Or exactly how large Equestria was.
