Appearance: Xally keeps her main short-cut, and her tail cropped. Both her mane and tail are yellow, with the same kind of sheen like light off of metal. Her eyes are a yellow-gold that seem to burn back, instead of stare. Her pelt is a light tan color, like wheat.
Cutie Mark: A sort of golden crescent moon with sun rays coming off, it show her affinity for light magic. That is the energy, and not the alignment. She creates illusions, and burns foes using the same kind of principle as the magnifying glass, just faster. She can also steal the lights from foes eyes, thus blinding them. More in the Other section.
Personality: She can have a bit of a temper, which tends to display it's self more often than it should. She's sarcastic, can hold a grudge, and very vocal about her rights. But she makes her friends for life, respects her superiors, takes orders, and thinks on her feet.
Backstory: She grew up in a small, reserved village out in the 'middle of nowhere' with her mom and dad. She didn't always have a ton to do, since her parents weren't farmers and school wasn't exactly a challenge. Not surprising considering they bought all the books for school from her family, of which the occupation was expected to be passed on. On a rather drab day, with a bit of cloud cover and the promise of rain, a new book shipment came in. It wasn't that big a deal; her dad often got new books for his private collection, and she thought very little off it until about an hour later when there was a curt knock on the door. She opened it to her dad, who looked like he was struggling with something on his mind. He handed her two things; a book of illusory spells and a ticket to Canterlot, from the train on the town over. He told that she was, "A big mare now, and that this dustbowl wasn't the place for her." The rest, as they say, is history.
