Appearance: A very pink pony with dark pink eyes, softened red and purplish-pink mane and tail, and long eyelashes. She's slightly buffer than most ponies. She often wears a grey vest with ample pockets.
Cutie Mark: A mysterious eye, no pony knows it's meaning, except Xanadu.
Personality: Daredevil would be the best way to describe sweet Xana. She never stays in one place for long and has a fascination with the dangerous and scary. If somepony tells her to stay put, she probably won't. She thirsts for adventure, for a life that is more than school work and sitting around. She firmly believes that life is much too boring and has dedicated her existence to making things interesting for herself and everypony around her. She has little care for romance, but will often dazzle a possible love interest by whisking them off for a day of adventure and fun. For her the best date ends with her and some other vagabond laughing in the back of a police cruiser, or dangling from a bungee cord 1000 feet in the air. Safe to say, most love interests don't stick around long. She has no interest in politics, and distrusts the government wholeheartedly. But if she were to be invested in such matters, I'm inclined to say she would be extremely socially liberal. She is a firm believer that ponies have the right to live however they want to, regardless of race, species, sexual orientation, lifestyle, or social standings.
Her overall flaws include;
-Reckless
-Easily bored
-occasionally scatter-brained
-A somewhat cold uncaring view to the world around her.
Her ore awesome traits include
-bold and daring
-open minded
-always up for an adventure
-inquisitive mind
-charm and charisma
-a very good liar
Backstory: Xana was raised on a cherry farm right outside of ponyville and originally named Cherry Blossom. Her parents were proud to have such a cute baby filly, and they taught her everything she needed to know about farming cherries. But Xana found cherry farming insanely boring. She would often escape by reading comic books and writing stories about adventure and fun. Life was initially normal for the little filly, she farmed cherries, baked fresh cherry pie, and she wrote stories and read comics, that was it. But on her 7th birthday, things changed. Her great uncle Hopper showed up and offered her a 'quest' she was to venture in the Everfree forest and pick wild joke berries that grew in a clearing near the hut of a witch. It was the day sweet baby Cherry began to die, it was the day she went on the path to become Xanadu, adventurer extraordinaire! She dodged fire spells and viscous beasts that day, she tripped and nearly fell off a cliff. But she survived, and that day she found what she loved, danger. For weeks she kept coming back to the Everfree, she kept getting into trouble and danger, on many occasions she saved ponies lost in the depths of the forest, she became a local legend, some ponies thought she was simply a ghostly apparition who saved lost travelers so they wouldn't meet the same fate she had. No pony knows how she got her cutie mark, except for her. But those who know her, say it was her best battle.
But she would never tell her parents about her adventures. They would be crushed that their little cherry farmer refused to fallow tradition. She led a double life, adventure and pies. She told her parents that her cutie mark reflected her love for imagination and writing, an activity her parents were fine with as long as she kept he family farm in business. The lie held until her parents dying day. A day that sweet Cherry holds close to her heart, and battle-worn Xana tries to forget. It all happened so fast. Xana returned from the forest in the dead of night, only to find her home in flames. She wasn't able to save either of her parents. So she ran. The authorities amused Cherry had died in the flames, and in a way, she did. From then on she became Xanadu. And she never looked back.
