Appearance: <p> Tall, skinny, and strangely feminine build.<br /><br /> He has a green fur coat, his mane is violet with stripes of a darker shade of violet, his tail is the color as his mane, tipped with dark violet. His eyes are violet as well.<br /><br /> He usually wears a red and white striped shirt, and occasionally wearing a black tie. </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> A question mark merging into a magnifying glass, representing his observant personality and ability to create and solve mysteries. </p>

Personality: <p> He's obsessed with mysteries and loves causing them, amd picked up most of his observant and manipulative skills from reading mystery stories </p>

Backstory: <p> 18 years old:<br /> Zealous Enigma had a drunken and abusive father, every other time his drunken anger never hurt him too bad, he always learned to stay in his room during them. But one time his father's drunken freak out was so bad it lead to Enigma getting thrown against a bookshelf and Zealous' horn being broken, after that Zealous’ mother eventually divorced his father and took Zealous with her for his safety. But she could never afford the operation that would allow his horn to grow back correctly, his disfigured horn lead to him being picked on alot at school. But a 15 year old filly he met named Crystal didn’t, he had a crush on her for nearly a year but when he earned the courage to admit his love for her, she told him she didn’t love him back but instead suggested them being just friends, but Zealous didn’t want that, he didn't bother asking again after that.<br /><br /> 19 - 20 years old:<br /> He moved out of his mother’s house and into a new one, the year after that he was called to the hospital so his mother could see him one last time because she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, but instead her last moments were spent calming Zealous down when he saw his father there, His father was trying to apologize but instead Zealous started arguing with him, after his mother's sudden passing during their fighting Zealous went into more of a rage than he already had been and broke his deformed horn in anger after leaving. He spent the next year grieving and regretting that he got so angry in front of his dying mother, which sent him into depression.<br /><br /> Years later, Crystal announced an upcoming book; Shadow Spade and the Shadow Killer. Zealous, thinking it would impress her, decided to mimic the events in the book, stealing the original while still in production. Leaving behind only a manuscript with ink spilled over it, a fake one of course. Preventing Crystal from discovering his plan, and to excite things. </p>
