Appearance: His coat is a clay-like red and he has a white mane and tail. The color of his magic is roughly the same as his coat. In recent years, he has become thin to an unhealthy level. It is clear that it has been quite a while since he last worried about personal grooming and/or hygiene.

Cutie Mark: A mountain, which symbolizes that he is fairly adept with magic that manipulates the earth. Since his near-fatal magic surge, this magic is not quite as powerful as it was beforehand; basically limited to being able to slowly sink objects and lifting/crafting medium-sized earth-based objects.

Personality: Very unpredictable. He can be cheerful and friendly one moment, yet angry and violent the next. The only thing that is certain is his devotion to the earth god, Tectonus. In reality though, Tectonus is merely a figment of his imagination, created by his mind after the magic surge.

Backstory: Zinn worked as a miner for several years before there was a cave-in, and he and other miners became trapped. After being trapped for three days, Zinn fell into a state of desperation and panic. He would do anything to escape the darkness of the cave, and this sparked an immensely powerful magical surge from him. Even he doesn't remember what happened after that, but it left a fairly sizable hole in the side of the mountain. The other miners were able to escape safely, but Zinn disappeared into the wilderness by the mountainside, never to return to pony society. The surge had left his magic permanently weakened, and, more importantly, his mind scarred. He could no longer think clearly. His mind soon created the persona of Tectonus, the earth god, who had chosen Zinn as his champion.<br /><br />Ten years of isolation passed (though Zinn remains convinced that it has been at least 7000 years) before the apocalypse began. Zinn is certain that this is the work of Tectonus, who is now eradicating all life and reforming the world. It is now Zinn's duty to aide Tectonus in returning all life to the earth from which it came (through murder obviously), ending with himself.
