Honestly, I have trouble feeling sympathy for them. I mean yeah, the Premier League is one of the greatest football leagues in the world, but that hasn't necessarily helped the issue of nurturing English talent when the top teams continue to go for foreign stars most of the time. Look at Germany. They had this similar problem about a decade or so back, and now they're one the of the favorite. The overhauled their youth systems to which now German clubs nurture young German talent while still being open to a nice mix if foreign stars. England really needs to do some soul-searching if they intend to be factors in the World Cup again. Jon the VGNerd 885 June 22, 2014 Author Share June 22, 2014 Germany and Ghana played a really epic match, a 2-2 draw. Bosnia and Herzegovina may not be able to win this one if they lose to Nigeria... The ref clearly didn't want to see Bosnia win, or save themselves from being eliminated. Instead, not only did the ref declared it offside, despite the face that Edin was never offside in the first place, but he also didn't fouled a Nigerian player for shoving the Bosnian to the ground. It was obviously a foul, but the ref instead decided to favor the goal for Nigeria. By far the worst match I have ever seen. Had it been a 1-1 tie, or a 1-0 deficit, for Bosnia, they would've saved themselves from elimination. Instead, the ref had to ruin their chances. Tomorrow's match against Portugal will be VERY interesting! Yep! But that third and final match will be the least of your worries. The ref's stupid calls led Bosnia to be sent home early. I'm not confident, but if I were to rank the teams in the group based on the two games, I'd Portugal has thus far been the worst team. Ghana put Germany to the sword and exposed some of their defensive issues. Klinsmann has proven himself the capable tactician, so there is SOME hope if we can expose some of Germany's issues, but their attack is something else. Edit: My spellchecker is REALLY picky.
