"Hmm, I've traveled far, even to other worlds, but never seen this language before..." he trembled, "Whatever wrote it must be some reclusive, mysterious, intelligent species, we really should leave... but first we'll have to go ahead and fetch Moon..." he quaked as he plodded fearfully further down the cave.

"I hear ya, Blitz. Let's get out of here, this place is getting to me..." shuddered Astral as he followed Blitz closely. "Kinda worried about Moon though, but he couldn'tve gone far... could he?"

 

"HEY MOON!? YOU DOWN THERE?!" Astral called out, his voice echoing for what seemed like miles down the long pathway...

"Ja, let's just hurry..." Blitz winced, "though it does seem like a long time going... eh, they don't call me Blitz for nothing, just get on my back a moment and I'll dash forward here real quick..." he tentatively offered as he lowered his rear to offer his back for sitting.

"KEEP COMING, YOU'RE GETTING CLOSE," Moon shouted back to Astral, before whispering under his breath the words "You'll definitely know when you're here...."

 

 

Still wondering where "here" is, he walked back towards the place that he came through, it didn't seem to go both ways, but it was pretty obvious where he came from, with a giant, flat, circular stone with crop circle-like patterns engraved in it.

"Let's hurry!" Blitz urged at he urged Astral to sit on his back, "Unless you don't wanna go fast on the fastest around... well,  if you won't get on, then I'll seeya, " he sighed as he fished around his saddlebag for his running-fast goggles. "You lose your wits in fear or something?"

Mired in his own thoughts while staring silently into the distance, Astral lets out a small sigh and perches himself atop Blitz, "No... just thinking about something. You're right. We'd better get going, I think I heard Moon... we wouldn't want to keep him waiting too much longer, huh?"

"Now, that's right, hold on tight..." Blitz said as he readied to dash, "Don't want you falling off!" And with that, he dashed fast as he could forward and closed his eyes, saying "How did he even get this far ahead? He didn't go ahead of us too long, time-w-" but then got interrupted by a bug- but, not in the mouth, but slamming into a giant one! Such caused him to stop suddenly, throwing Astral off behind him. "What just happened!?" he sputtered as he got up, dazed, noticing he wasn't in the cave anymore...

"Oooh...." moaned Astral as he cradled his head in both hooves, his vision slowly blurring into focus. "If I had known you were gonna do that, I would've just flown myself," he muttered quietly.

 

He glanced over to Blitz, conveniently overlooking the giant bug they had collided into moments earlier, "Hey, you alright over there?"

 

Rubbing his head a few more moments he stands up, back to the giant bug, chuckling, "Hell of a landing... but I think we should focus on getting to Moon in one piece, yeah?"

"Peh," Blitz spat as he got up, "s-sorry, but hey, we're here... wherever here is..." he groaned as he looked about, "wha... where are we..."

 

He became startled awake as he noticed the enormity of the new surroundings, "Uh... yeah, it would be a good idea to find Moon, safety in numbers... MOOOOOON!" he shouted as he tried to peer about the giant grass they were in.

"Quiet!" Moon hissed at Blitz from underneath the root of a giant tree. "The bug's vision is horrible, but it's hearing is perfect, and it's extremely vicious. It's been after me for two days..."

 

Moon Shine made his coat glow to reveal the hollow he was in "Come in here with me, the entrance is small, but there's a lot of room"

"Right," Blitz whispered as he slunk over to the hollow, eyeing the bug warily.

 

He motioned to Astral to follow, and then stalked over to the giant tree and slipped into the hollow. Sighing a breath of relief, he pondered, "How'd we get here from the cave? And is everything giant, or are we tiny?"

"Strange thing is, I have no clue, I've been here for 5 cycles of darkness and I've seen nothing to point me in either direction..."

 

Moon looked out at the sky as it started to dim "Looks like it's the solar eclipse again... Or lunar, I'm not sure what to call it; the stranget thing about where we are.." Moon said softly towards the distance "We appear to be on a moon..."

 

 

OoC: Yeah, I'm a bit big on Sci-Fi, the moon idea actually came from a book called "What if the Earth Had Two Moons" by Neil F. Comins, it's quite interesting to read....

"The... the moon!" Blitz exclaimed as he started to feel faint. "Bu... but... how will we... get off?" he worried, "And there's a giant world on the moon? Or, again, are we just tiny... oh dear..." he stuttered as he paced about the hollow. He then poked his head out and frantically motioned to Astral to come in.

"Ugh, that is a good question..." Moon said to Blitz "Though I have a feeling that We'll probably have to find a portal like the one we came through... Only problem is where would we find it?"

 

Moon looked outside and saw that the sun was completely covered up by the planet that's moon they were on

 

"It should be safe to go outside now, I don't think that there's a single creature that likes the dark... not a single one..." Moon said with a grimace on his face "It should be about an hour until it's bright again..."

"Verily," Blitz replied, "let's go, then. Do you think there's green moon ponies? That'd be a risky proposition..." he mused as he departed the hollow, "And what shall we do about Astral, lift 'em? I've got the strength, I reckon... still seems in a daze from the crash..." He sighed as he walked over to Astral.

"Well, I think I'll stay here actually... Someone should probably keep an eye on Astral.. to make sure that nothing happens..." Moon said while nervously glancing outside

 

 

"Oh.. but then again.. The moon seems to be completely covered in shadow and you'd have trouble seeing.." Moon started pacing around the room while he talked to himself. "But it's so open out there... My light wouldn't show everything... Maybe we should just stay in here."

Moon's smile twitched a few times, as he looked at Blitz in a way that almost matched a young colt in a thunderstorm asking to stay with his parents.

"X marks the spot," mouthed Astral quietly, staring as if in a trance at a strange depression in the ground directly north of the hollow Moon and Blitz had ducked into earlier.

 

His ears perked up as Moon approached. A silly, almost childlike grin spread across his face as his eyes darted quickly back and forth between Moon and Blitz back at the hollow.

 

Astral spoke quietly and in a somewhat frenetic manner, "So... uh... the bug's gone. Nothing to worry about. Ha.

 

Ha ha....," as color drained from his face.

"Yeah, I'll go slip out and get Astral here," smiled Blitz as he inched out of the hollow, then outside towards Astral. He soon him, but, noticing his demeanor, asked, "You okay there, buddy? You don't look so fine... come, now, into the hollow, and we'll agree on something then..."

 

Blitz motioned Astral to come to the hollow, but became increasingly concerned as he merely muttered about the bug. "Don't make me push you there or something..." Blitz warned tentatively and nervously.

Zoning out for a second, his head flops to the side, still grinning. Pressing a hoof firmly against his forehead, he regains composure and nods, "Y-yeah... I'm fine. Just a little dazed from the fall, that's all. Don't worry about me."

 

Trotting slowly towards the hollow, nearly falling several times, he makes his way inside and lays down with his head leaning against the wall, "My head is pounding... I saw you earlier, then Moon, and this huge... I don't know what it is. I forget the rest..."

 

"How long has it been?"

"Ah, don't worry about what happened right now, you need rest..." Blitz assured Astral when they got back to the hollow, starting to scrape together some loose broken leaves for a makeshift bed for Astral.

 

"How long it has been, I'm not sure either, I'm a bit dazed too..." he noted.

"But you haven't really missed anything, I can tell you that.." Moon Shine said to Astral "All that really happened after you got here was me signalling Blitz to come in here and then the bug left when the Mother covered the Sun."

 

Moon Shine stood there for a second before thinking about the fact that he should probably explain what he meant.

 

"The Mother Planet I mean, we're on a moon."

"Come, what's with calling the planet Mother?" Blitz puzzled as he made a bed, "Ah, here you go, Astral, just lie down... hmm, I've got to make a blanket..." he muttered as he looked about for more leaves. "Any of you happen to bring a blanket with you in your saddlebags?" He chuckled.

"Do tell... we were just inside a cave and now we're on a moon?" sputtered Astral with a tinge of concern in his voice.

 

He closed his eyes, laid back onto the makeshift bed, sighing, "I really should've stayed in bed today. I want to say this is just another one of those days, but I wouldn't even know where to begin."

 

"I'm with Blitz, what's this Mother Planet thing?"

"Eh, in my mind, the planet is sort of this Moon's mother, it's what keeps it tied here..." Moon gazed off into the distance staring at the planet

 

"But anyway, I'm going to rest, I've had a long few days without you.." Moon Shine said the words sleepily before falling down onto the ground and starting to snore

"Fine that sounds, makes sense, I guess..." Blitz murmured. He saw Moon fall down asleep, and nearly shouted "No, wait! I didn't make you a bed yet!" but decided against it when he heard the snore. "Oh well... Astral, I'm almost done with your blanket, by the way..." he noted as he finished gathering together some leaves for a makeshift blanket.
