FoxOsprey 46 September 3, 2014 Share September 3, 2014 (edited) So I saw this video and I noticed something, it might seem irrelevant at first but please; bear with me. Watch the video below and see if you catch on... THE VIDEO (sorry; couldn't get the embedding thing to work) Did you hear somthing familiar? Yep, thats right; loyalty, honesty and compassion. Three of the elements ticked off straight away. In the video Aaron talks about these points not as if it will make you more poular around the workplace or more intellegent or more likely to get a raise but he talks about them as if they will make you a better person and make your life better on the whole. So here's my point: are the life lessons in MLP intended for young children? Yes. But should they be ignored? No! Not at all my friends because they are still relevant to your life today. So do you guys have any thoughts on this? If so I'd love to hear them! Also do you think you have some or all of these qualitys? What would you add? What would you remove? PS: Men Ahem. Gentlemen; please do check out Aaron's channel if you are interested in it. Edited September 4, 2014 by FoxOsprey
Darker 1,352 September 3, 2014 Share September 3, 2014 Yeah, this kind of things (loyalty, honesty and compassion) can be found anywhere, on a lot of characters on lots shows, not just MLP. Aaron is kind of right, these elements are needed on everyone, but, you you don't really need them, being yourself is just fine. For example, I'm not usually loyal, I'm not really that honest with much people, and my compassion has limits. Am I intelligent? Yes, but thanks to my studies. Have I ever been popular? No, popularity is not my thing. But let's go On-Topic. Are the life lessons in MLP intended for young children? Most of them yes. Adult people don't really care about friendship, nor they believe it's magic or makes life easier. But what MLP teaches is basic morals any good children's show teaches. But should they be ignored? A little majority of the morals are way too overused and repetitive., because they've already been used too much in the past, but it's nice to have a show that still teaches this kind of things to modern children. So just like you said, no, no they shouldn't.
