Help flesh this idea out/ is it worth doing?

Premise: Three stories will be taking place that are all interconnected. First is Scootaloo getting advice for a story to write for Rainbow Dash on her next Birthaversery. Second Is Rainbow working to qualify to adopt Scootaloo as a surprise by her next birthaversery. Third is the creation of the story Scootaloo writes itself.

 

Scootaloo's story arc is going to embody the struggles of creating compelling fiction and short comings new writers have. She will be getting advice on how to properly structure a tale and even solicits the advice of Dash's favorite author who inspired her idea to make Dash a book in the first place. It will be a labor of love fraught with fustration, writers block, and struggling to make it when her own real world problems seem to become larger. Her motivation for making the story will change as her efforts go on and it will be the embodiment of the affection she feels towards her idol.

 

Dash will have to work out her case on why she would be best suited to take in Scootaloo. She will have to look at herself hard and work on her short comings if she wants to take in the filly. In many ways she will mirror the tale in the story scoots writes. Her motivation for wanting to adopt the filly will change much in the same way she had the change of heart in may the best pet win, but with the bent that she must be responsible and care for this filly no matter what, rain or shine, laughter or arguing, be somepony that will be there for scoots like no one before.

 

 

I think this has a lot of potential but I could use help brainstorming for it. Also would this be a story that bronies would want to read about?

Hey if you can do it and finish it I want to see it.

 

I would say start with the scootaloo story first and then after you have that write in Dash's part.

After checking out a nice idea of an inspirational story like that, I’d say go for it. As you long as you get it started, finish it and it’s well written, I think I’ll enjoy reading. I’m surprised that other people haven’t replied to this yet.
