New Tirek Collectible

Hello..

 

My name is Alex.  I am a Sculptor and a Lead Character Artist at Bioware. 

I have recently discovered MLP, through the Shapeways/Hasbro promotion.

After seeing some villian designs, I thought it would be fun to sculpt a couple of characters in my own design aesthetic.

 

I am almost done with Tirek and have a some fun ideas for the timberwolves.  They will be available through the shapeways site very soon. 

I am entertaining the idea of keying him to be fully articulated, or perhaps having a very limited number of resin sculpts made.

 

I would love to gauge the interest of the community for this kind of work.

At first I thought I was reading a post from my future self, seeing as my name is Alex and my dream job would be character or background artist at Bioware... 

 

Weirdness aside, I'm not much of a fan of Tirek, but that sculpt is awesome! Can't wait to see the Timberwolves though, and I do hope you have plans for a Chrysalis in your style.

Wow! I didn't know Shapeways now have My Little Pony!

 

Too bad it's not open source for when I finally have the money to buy me a 3D printer and print one of those suckers..  :okiedokielokie:

 

By the way, you mentioned you're working at Bioware. Which one, Edmonton or Austin? I'm living in Edmonton.
