I think it would be awesome for WoTC to make an MLP tabletop RPG

I will admit, I don't really play tabletop RPGs like D&D, as I find them too complicated to you, but I really admire all the creative aspects about them. I'm sure a lot of bronies who play RPGs would love to see such a thing be made by WoTC, since Hasbro owns then. I know that there are already RPGs being made, but they seem rather obscure. I'd like to see an RPG that would actually get lots of publicity within the community.

 

Like any RPG, this could have an assortment of books, ones for GMs and plays, as well as sourcebooks and bestiaries. Although Equestria would be the core setting of the game, there can also be additional published campaign settings. On top of that, you can also make homebrew settings in your custom campaigns. Of course, earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi would be the main playable races in the game, though expansion rulebooks could have other races like zebras. It can have the usual classes like warrior, mage, thief, priest, etc. Characters like the mane 6 and the alicorn princesses would be NPCs. The game's system could either have its own system, or use the D20 system, or even be useable for both.

Considering that Wizards of the Coast has never made a Transformers RPG in all these years, despite being a Hasbro affiliate, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Hasbro even licensed out the MLP CCG out to another company rather than make it in house.

 

There already is Ponyfinder which is d20 under the Open Gaming License, but it's not an official MLP game and had to change the names of stuff and details of the setting.

Well with an official MLP game, there can be lots of world building stuff in it that aren't in the show or any of the comics. There could even be a book on rules for underwater campaigns, along with various sea pony races, like mermares, hippocamps, and sirens.
