Yu-Gi-Oh! Ponies fanfic

What if the Ponies were to play the phenomenal card game yu-gi-oh!, just like in the anime? I've always dreamed of the idea. Here's my own summary of my fanfic, complete with my own OC pony

 

 

In the land of Equestria, ponies have always endorsed themselves in Duel Monsters, but with new advances in magic, they can finally bring their duels to life. from small town tourneys to World Championships, Duel Monsters have grasped Equestria's attention. But no other pony is more excited than the hot-blooded young mare Yuko Neki, a budding prodigy in dueling. stubborn, reckless, yet kind-hearted, Yuko is surrounded with a small circle of friends all willing to be the best duelists, such as the soft unicorn Flora, and the shy buy intelligent filly Teddy. However, when top-ranking ruthless player known as Tyran threatens his friends, Yuko stands up for them and challenges Tyran to a duel, despite the seemingly big differences in skills. The outcome of the duel  however, will mark the beginning of Yuko's adventure to the best of the best!

 

Anyway, here are some things i am planning to have in the fic.

 

The characters will mainly use existing deck themes (especially recent ones like Qliphorts), but Yuko will be using a brand-new archetype.

 

The mane Six will also be present in the fic, along with other official ponies.

 

Unfortunately, I'm bad at writing fanfics, so hopefully someone will bring my idea to life!

It seems like a good idea, but something like this would be more of like a roleplay rather than a fanfiction.

 

Just in my opinion. I dont have the skill to write a fanfict based on this. But goodluck to whoever does.

I have questions:

1) How do the ponies hold the cards? And don't you dare say "Magic!" without explanation.

 

2) What would the Duel Disks look like? Cause the closest thing I can think of would be Crowler's Duel Coat from GX, just with the energy blades from Arc V.

1) I always picture them having tiny fingers that hold the cards. Otherwise, I rather leave "how hoofs hold things" unexplained.

 

2) I'm going to go with the arc-v disks, cuz i like being up to date

Deck: Gimmick Puppets

 

Mareo ,at first glance, is a kindly old mare who runs a ventriloquist shop with a creepy vibe. However, he is secretly a sadistic maniac with a misguided belief that all living creatures are nothing but walking puppets that can be controlled to his bidding. His Gimmick Puppet Xyzs reflect the beliefs and sadistic desire that drives him, with their equally destructive effects.
