How does an MLP anthrology film series sound?

How cool do you think it would be if Hasbro Studios created a series of anthology films that would showcase various short films made by fans of MLP? I'm talking about stuff like Heavy Metal (1981), The Animatrix, Batman Gotham Knight, etc. Just imagine each short film in them being professionally made and having very outstanding animation that would put fan animations like Children of the Night to shame (that's also great mind you, but it was only made by two people).

 

Each anthology film could have at least six animated shorts or so. The films themselves should also clock in at least two hours. In this series the creators of the shorts would have more creative freedom to give an exciting experience for the viewers. Some shorts would have good humorous moments, others can be more feelsy, others having exciting action (Fall of the Crystal Empire), and some having even darker elements. That would be a legal nightmare for Hasbro. How would they work it? Would the contributors get paid for their work? How would they assign copyright licensing?

This is true. Unless each of the creators just agree to it Hasbro would have to work out a hell ton of legalities.

Yeah I guess licesnsing would be a huge obstacle for that sort of thing. Perhaps there could be several teams and directors within Hasbro that would work one each short?

Also, it would be cool if one film had short films made by anime studios like Studio 4°C, Production I.G., Madhouse, etc.
