Flame smiles as he hug his mother and father goodbye and leans down, so that his younger sister could climb onto his back. It was her birthday and Flame Heart was taking her to Ponyville for a few days, to do some shopping and to have a party at Sugarcube Corner. He waits for her to climb on then, spreads his wings and begins their journey.

Diamondheart wakes up with groggy eyes, yawning loudly. She slowly gets out of bed, groaning. "I bet today is just gonna be like every other day" she complained in a low voice. As she was getting breakfeast, her eyes accidentally hovered at the clock on the wall. "Oh no! Oh no, oh no, oh no..." she hurriedly ate her cereal, and ran outside her house then locking the door. She completely forgot about meeting her friend at Sugarcube Corner! She was rushing and rushing, and once she reached there she saw her friend with a disappointed look on her face.

 

"S-Sugar Sweet.. I'm sorry.. I w-" she was interrupted by Sugar placing her hoof on her mouth, then Sugar laughed. "Oh wow, calm down, silly! You actually came quite a bit early. Lucky for you though, we're going to be here for awhile anyway. I'm waiting for my friend's friend's friend to come over to celebrate some filly's birthday? Or at least that's what he told me? Honestly, I'm not completely sure.. I'm just coming for the food and drinks."

 

Diamondheart had a dumbfound look on her face, then she glanced at the clock in the bakery store and noticed she wasn't late afterall. "O-Oh..." she was still panting from all of the hype and running. "W-wait.. you're telling me we're here for somepony's birthday party who we don't even really know about!?" she said in an angry tone. Sugar Sweet gave a nervous look then replied, "Uh, sorry? Hehe.."

Flame Heart begun the journey to Ponyville, sometimes checking back to make sure that Dancer was still there and gripping on tightly to his mane. He smiled, while he could be depressed at times, spending time with his sister always made him feel good. He hums her favorite song as he continues to fly. "Excited for your 7th birthday sis?" he asks, and is greeted with a big smile and a big hug from Fire Dancer, "Yep, thank you so much big brother" she says.

 

They soon land at ponyville, and he kneels down to let her down. As she climbs off, she looks around in awe, "Wow big brother, this place is awesome, where to first?"

He chuckles "Off to Rarity's going to help you look your best for your big party" he says and leads the way. As they reach the boutique, he pokes his head in "Rarity, it's Flame, I'm here for my sis's appointment"

Diamondheart sighed, looking around and just thinking about random stuff as she usually does. "Oh, don't worry" Sugar Sweet said, "I'm pretty sure they'll be here soon. Just probably, a little busy..  you know?" Diamondheart responded with a sigh, and glared outside the window, just staring out there and looking at the beautiful trees, bushes, and butterflies wandering around. "Wow, it's really beautiful outside.. Hey, do you think we should head out real quick to get a gift at least for the little filly?" Diamondheart asked. "I suppose we should," Sugar sweet said in a peppy voice. 

 

Sugar Sweet and Diamondheart headed out real quick to find something to get for the little filly's birthday-- finding the nearest small shop they could.

Rarity had lead the two ponies inside her boutique and had already begun to help Fire Dancer pick out a nice little dress, and then makeup. It was about half an hour later when Rarity had finished. Fire Dancer was now very pretty, especially for a 7 year old filly, she smiles as she kindly refuses to let Flame pay for everything, saying that it was her pleasure and her gift to little Fire.

 

Flame smiles and says to her that he hopes to see her at the party, which she replies that she would most definitely be there. Flame thanks her one more time and holds Fire's hoof gently as they walked toward the bakery. He once again, begun humming Fire's favorite song, this time with her joining in.

"Uh-oh" Sugar Sweet said in surprise, "I think it's almost time for the party to get started-- Hurry up, Diamondheart!" she shouted. Diamondheart rushed over to Sugar with a beautiful tiara she picked out for the filly. The tiara was light grey, with rubies bedazzled on the sides of it. To top it off, there was a huger gem--specifically garnet--on the front of it. "Wow, that's actually a good choice!" Sugar said in amazement. Gasping for air, Diamondheart replied, "R-Really?..." Diamond was about to sit down to rest real quick while Sugar was checking and paying for the gift, until once Sugar was done she swiftly grabbed Diamond's hoof and ran outside.

 

"Heh, sorry bud, but we're getting late!" she said gleefully. Diamondheart sighed in response and just allowed her to drag her back to the bakery.

It was a bit of a walk between the boutique and the bakery, Flame decided to go at a slow trot, to allow Pinkie a bit more time to set up. It wasn't for another ten minutes until they reached their destination and Flame smiles. He loved to see Fire Dancer smiling and he hugs her tightly, he was incredibly proud of her and they soon reach the bakery and they walk in.

 

"Wooow!" Fire says as she looks around in awe, "this is so awesome, thanks so much miss Pie" she says and giggles as she is hugged by the happy and bubbly pink mare.

Breathless--again, as usual at this point--they finally walked into the bakery. Amused, Diamondheart glared at what Pinkie Pie has done to the place. "Woooow.." she said, with her mouth wide open. "Close your mouth, unless you wanna catch flies," Sugar said while giggling. "Oh.. hush.." Diamond replied, still panting and out of breath.

 

"Oh-- where are our manners?" Sugar said, noticing Flame Heart and his younger sibling, the birthday filly, Fire Dancer. "Hello there!" she said to the two ponies who were here already, "Hey, D-Heart! Here's the birthday girl and her big brother-- Flame Heart!" she said in a loud gleeful voice. Diamondheart's cheeks were bright red from embarassment, greeting the ponies who just walked in. "Hello there.. heh, sorry.. U-Um you may not know me, so let me introduce myself. I'm Diamondheart, a friend of Sugar. She said she knows you guys by uh.. a friend's.. friend's.. friends-" She was once again interrupted by Sugar Sweet's hoof against her face, saying "Oh hehe, a friend's friend's friend, silly! Oh, she never learns". Upset, Diamond removed Sugar's hoof from her mouth. "Yes.. that." she said in a grumpy tone.

Flame couldn't help but let out a somewhat girlish giggle, which would have seemed odd coming from a stallion, but he tried to keep his gender androgynous, and Fire was jumping around, and then begun to play with Sugar. Flame smiles "Hey there, name's Flame Heart, and this is my sister Fire Dancer, we're really happy you two could make it." he says, holding out a rather well hooficured hoof out to shake. 

Fire looks around more, "don't mind big brother, he's just very...odd" she giggles and is greeted by Flame pulling her in and noogying her. "Watch your words little sister, you know there are things I rather keep to myself...for now"

"Hehe, your sister is really adorable" she said sheepishly, with a weird grin on her face. "I can tell her and Sugar Sweet will get along just fine. So um.. who else is going to attend at your sister's party? Perhaps family members?" she said, trying to make the conversation for her less awkward.

Flame smiles "Sadly no family members, both our parents have to work and as for other guests, well Rarity and Applejack will be here with their sisters as well as Scootaloo of course. Some of Fire's friends from flight school will be here too, oh and as a surprise for Fire, I've invited the Wonderbolts and the Princesses. But shh, that's a surprise" he giggles, and watches as Fire continues to play around "and yes, she is very adorable, I'm very proud of her"

Diamondheart frowned a little, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear. Well, at least that's a really good surprise you have-- wait, how did you even get the Wonderbolts and princesses to visit her?" she whispered.

Flame grins, "It helps to have gone to school and especially flight school with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, two of the mane six." He says, with the same grin, "besides, Luna sometimes visits me in my dreams, due to my..loneliness" he says, somewhat softly, his tail and wings still hiding his cutie mark.

"Ooh, that's very neat." she said, with a weird smile on her face. Noticing the grin on Flame's face made her blush a little more, feeling both at ease but at the same time unrelaxed. "U-uh well, w-when will the party officially start?" she said, giggling nervously.

Flame smiles "Soon I think, We're just waiting for more guests to arrive" he says, sitting down and looking around, Pinkie had really outdone herself, which was good, because it made Fire smile, which made Flame smile in return.

Diamondheart sits besides them, spacing out as usual and awaiting for the guests to arrive. She also kinda glanced over Sugar and Fire playing around and goofing off along with Pinkie Pie. Wow, she thought, I never seen ponies so.. happy?

Flame smiles, "it's good to see Fire so happy, she's usually quite lonely. " he says as he hears the door open and cloe.

Diamondheart saw a variety of ponies coming in, including the schoolmates of Fire Dancer which Flame earlier mentioned. Diamondheart stood back up, and went over to greet the ponies, including Sugar who eventually caught up.

Flame smiles as he too greets the other guests and yhe party had officially started.

 

Rainbow laughs as he sees him with DiamondHeart. "Didnt know ya were into mares Flame" she remarks

Diamondheart glanced nervously at Rainbow Dash from her response, and Diamondheart's eyes slowly aimed towards the ground, staring at it for awhile, her face being more red than ever. "U-uh it's not like that!..." Diamondheart nervously giggled, "H-hi, my name's Diamondheart..." she said, shaking Rainbow Dash's hoof.

Rainbow smiles and shakes her hoof "what's wrong? I think its great he has found somepony."

 

Flame also blushes "D...Dashy..DiamonfDiamond and i just met, w..we can't fall in love that quickly...can we?" he asks nervously. Diamond certainly was very attractive and she did seem very nice, if a bit closed off.

Diamondheart's face at this point wasn't even blue-- her face was so red she almost looked like she was going to explode. "U-Uuhhh.. I- Oh h-hey, look at Fire Dancer! Hehe.. maybe we should ask h-her if she wants to open her gifts a-and eat some cake now?" she smiled nervously. She was sweating quite a bit, and she had a very concern look on her face, and her being aware of this made her feel more embarrassed. She instead ran towards the birthday filly and started chatting with her, asking her some questions.

Fire was happily giggling and bouncing around Sweet, before Flame trots over and smiles, "Hey little sis, time for presents and cake, come on every pony" he says calmly, as Fire giddily bounces over to the present table. Her eyes light up, not at the big boxes, but more the smaller ones, for she was a very selfless filly and knew that while there was thought put into the big boxes, but that there was a lot more thought put into the smaller presents, and that is what mattered most to her, the thought.
