Alan Wake Blank Encounter Transcript

For those of you who know both Alan Wake and Story of the Blanks, I cam up with a transcript off the top of my head just to scare my brother who was playing Alan Wake last night. Enjoy!

Alan trudged through the blackened growth, taking caution of his steps in this unfamiliar territory. The lack of sound, despite his footfalls, created an eerie atmosphere in the pitch black forest in which he had been hopelessly lost. Hearing a sudden snap of a twig nearby, Alan jumped and quickly eyes the area of the sound's source, only to see the shroud of shadow that encompassed him. Returning his field of view to the front, he saw two piercing red eyes in front of him; the only source of light in the forest, if he could even call it light.

The eyes spoke in a decayed, raspy voice "Join us newcomer, let us protect you." Alan fell backward and scrambled to get away from this unknown creature, gasping for breath as he did so. Dashing through the darkness, he took refuge under a tree's exposed roots. He took a minute to catch his breath, then emerged from the roots, only to see the eyes again. As if they were staring into his soul, Alan was petrified in fear from the encounter. The voice spoke again "We won't let you become like her. Join us, and we will protect you. Forever."

Alan could do nothing to resist; the creature seemed to be siphoning his energy into its own as his knees got weak, shaking as he kneeled. Alan knew now what was happening, but didn't have the energy to ponder. All he could comprehend is that his life force was draining, slowly, agonizingly, as his even the red eyes darkened as he was slipping.
