Note: I am not a professional, or perfect, these are just tips I have found helpful

Hey guys. So I am going to be constructing a small guide for people on how too make basic but decent sounding songs, I will not be disclosing what I use or how I specificly make my songs but I will give some general tips / advice.

Tip #1 - #2: Set the Genre / Temp early on.

The amount of songs I have seen just change their beat / tune in a heartbeat and be a completely different genre is unreal, this makes the songs sound very unprofessional, select a genre, temp / beat and stick to it, never be a guy like this:

This is an example I put together, it sounds absoultely stupid, the start sounds good then it just skips for no reason and sounds terrible. So yeah this is one of the most important things, think about the tone of the song you want and stick to it, build on it.

One of my examples of a smooth transition from darker too more upbeat:

You can see the song starts off relatively dark, but transitions well into a more lighthearted phase but the song always maintains its feel / genre.

Tip #3: More volume / bass is bad.

For the love of all that is holy do not be THIS GUY.

Having an overkill on base / volume is poison to most peoples use and something alot of people new too music think is good. Lots of bass does not make your song good in fact it makes it the opposite.

Quiet music often is far more subtle / enjoyable, find the right balance.
