Developing other pony nations like Germaneigh

Hey everypony!

 

First off: I'm not sure if this really belongs here or somewhere else, as the topic itself is rather.. difficult to pinpoint.

If this is the wrong forum, I apologize in advance.

 

recently I developed a few background things for my ponysona. That being said that I'm from Germany - and my ponysona is thus from Germaneigh, I noticed that there was actually rather little about how those lands actually look. So I started to take reality and ponify it. On one site (I don't have the link anymore, sadly) I saw the start of this: Germaneigh, an earthpony country. In the north mostly plains and more mountains in the south. Thus I thought It might be a good idea to actually keep developing those nations and maybe get interesting background information.

 

I even started to invent background information how those airships we see today in the show actually might have developed. Reason for that is my own interest in airships and the fact that I once built a ponyfied Zeppelin in Minecraft.

 

My question to all of you is this: Do you know a group/forum etc that could be used to discuss these kind of ideas? Most groups I have seen so far specialize more on non-pony species, like griffons. And much more: would YOU be interested in such information, without it being actual stories. I think it might be very interesting to collect all those information for writers to look at and maybe get some ideas for their stories, if bronies from many other countries started to create ponyfied versions of their countries, with indepth information.

 

I'm not much of a storywriter, so actually writing a story with it probably won't happen from my side. My stories tend to become waaaay too cliche and stuff.
