"Hell yeah it does," said Hooligan with a grin, "this kid sounds like fun."

The principle took the stage and asked Bedlam to take a seat. As Bedlam walked down the rows of chair Hooligan gestured, almost wildly, to the spare seat next to him. Bedlam took a seat next to Hooligan and gave a shy smile, "hi," he said.

"Hey there!", Bolt said to Bedlam. "I'm Bolt! You liking the school so far?"

 

"It's fine," Bedlam replied. "Everything seems okay." He smiled.

 

Bolt exclaimed, "Well, I'm happy you like it!!! You're gonna love it here, I promise!" She turned to Hooligan with a mischievous smile.

"Yeah this place is great," said Hooligan to Bedlam with an equally mischeivious smile, "or to be more accurate this place is great for causing mischief."

 

"I don't get what you mean," said Bedlam.

 

"Don't worry you will," said Hooligan, "my name's Hooligan in case you were wondering."

Bedlam raised an eyebrow. "Uh...."

 

Bolt shushed him. The assembly was about to start. The principal talked into the microphone. "Settle down, students, settle down." He had a professional-looking face on. "As I mentioned earlier, there was an 'incident' last night."

 

Bolt froze. As she listened to the principal, she felt like he was looking at her. She tried not to show it.

 

The principal continued. "Graffiti was found this morning on the school walls. One message written on the walls read 'Buck Education'. We are continuing to discuss this matter with the police."

 

Bolt turned her head at Hooligan. A worried look was on her face. "What do we do?", she whispered.

"We do nothing," Hooligan whispered to Green Bolt, "they don't have any proof it was us."

"Wait are you saying you're behind the graffitti?" asked Bedlam in a whisper.

Hooligan turned to Bedlam, "yeah and if you tell any one i'll have Cipher banish you to another dimension."

"You're kidding right?" asked Bedlam.

Hooligan gave a small chuckle, "cause i'm joking," Hooligan said with a smile, "don't tell anyone because Cipher could really send you to another dimension if she wanted to."

Bolt nodded. She held her hoof at Bedlam. Suddenly the hoof burst out in blue flame.

 

Bedlam opened his mouth to scream. He froze. He couldn't scream. Her couldn't even talk. All he could let out was a few quiet gasps.

 

Bolt smiled. She lit up her horn and conjured up a portal. In the portal Bedlam saw lava pits, skeletons, and ponies on fire.

 

The portal wasn't big enough for the principal to see, though. He continued talking about the graffiti.

"Okay Cipher you can stop the theatrics," Hooligan said to Ci with a smile. He looked at Bedlam, "don't worry we won't hurt you. After all we outcasts have to stick together."

"Okay I won't talk I swear," said Bedlam nervously.

"Glad to see we could come to an understanding. Now is the principle still blathering on about the graf?"

"Cipher Bolt please come to the stage," the principle said loudly.

Bolt quickly made the portals disappear. She trotted up to the stage and went up to the principal.

 

"Cipher, I have a matter I want to discuss with you...", the principal said. Bolt braced herself for the humiliation.

 

"I've decided you're moving up to the next grade! Your friend Hooligan, on the other hand.." The principal turned to Hooligan. "is failing his class. Also, the police have reports of a pony that matches his description."

 

Bolt gasped. Her friend was being blamed and not her? After all, they were both equally responsible for it. She tapped on the principal's shoulder. She looked into the principal's eyes. "I...I did it. I was..entirely responsible...for it." She looked at Hooligan in the audience. "Hooligan didn't do it. He's not the culprit at all."

 

Bolt started crying.

Hooligan saw Cipher crying on stage after convesing to being behind the graffiti. Hooligan knew that being pinned for something like that could ruin her future. But Hooligan was failing his subjects his future was already ruined. Hooligan stood up. "Hey principle ass face don't listen to a word this chic say," Hooligan shouted while walking to the stage, "I'm the master criminal behind this fabulous artwork. She's only saying she did it cause she thinks being behind this will make her popular."

The principle turned to Cipher, "is this true?" he asked.

Hooligan looked into Cipher's eyes and said nothing. But the look in his eyes said that no matter what he wouldn't let her take the blame for this.

Bolt was surprised. Hooligan was blaming himself for something they were both responsible for! She looked down at her hooves and cried even more.

 

She thought of the words, "Hooly, you don't have to do this...". Then she mentally sent the message to Hooligan's brain. She still kept a sad face on, as if she hadn't done anything.

"I'm sorry Ci," Hooligan thought to Cipher who had sent him a mental message, "but I can't let you throw away your future." Hooligan pulled out his mask and put it on. "Catch me if you can Principle Prick." said Hooligan as he kicked the principle and ran to the exit. "Get him," the principle as two cops walked from off stage. The cops gave chase to Hooligan. "I'm sorry you had witness this," the principle said to Cipher, "you can have a seat."

No. NO. Bolt couldn't just let Hooligan suffer just because he cared about her future. "Hooly!", she shouted. She ran down the stage and chased after the cops.

 

As she ran, she sent a mental message to Hooligan.

 

"I won't let you leave me. You promised you would never forget me. I don't want you to go just because you want me to be safe. We were both equally responsible for what happened. If I'm not suffering, you won't. If you have to suffer, I'll suffer with you if I have to."

Hooligan ran as fast as he could, the cops right on his tail. As he ran he realised that he might not see Cipher again. But she had a bright future ahead of her and he was just dragging her down. Hooligan received Cipher's message and a tear ran down his cheek, "I'm sorry," he mentally messaged her before teleporting to someplace only he knew of.

 

(OOC this might be a good segway to time skip after you post.)

As Bolt watched Hooligan disappear, she stopped. She plopped down in disappointment and started crying. But she knew that wherever Hooligan was, he would be safe.

 

Suddenly Bolt jumped up. Of course! All she had to do was cast a spell!

 

Bolt tried hard to remember a spell that would help. Then she remembered. It was the first spell Bill had ever taught her. She stood up straight and lit up her horn.

 

"NO PUPPET STRINGS CAN HOLD ME DOWN

SO PATIENTLY I WATCH THIS TOWN

ABNORMAL WILL SOON BE THE NORM

ENJOY THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM..."

 

Bolt's body burst in blue flame. A portal opened beside her. "I'm coming for you, Hooly...." She went through the portal.

Just as Hooligan thought he had gotten away a huge portal opened up behind him and Hooligan was almost surprised to see Cipher walk through. Although in hindsight she was probably th only pony he knew powerful enough to make that portal. He turned to her, "come to say goodbye I see," Hooligan said to Cipher with a half hearted smile.

Bolt's heart broke. "G-goodbye?" She leaned in closer to Hooligan. "What for?..." She hugged Hooligan and when she pushed away she was crying. "Hooly, we can still go back. We can still fix this. This isn't the end...is it?"

 

She placed her hoof on Hooligan. "I...I know this is a bit weird to say, but...." A last tear rolled down her face. "It's going to be okay. Don't worry about me anymore. I'll be fine. Right now this is about you."

"I'm sorry Ci but i can't be with you anymore." Hooligan said with tears starting to escape his eyes, "you have a future, you can be great and wonderful and amazing. I'd just hold you back. You shown you'll follow me anywhere so I'll go the one place you can't." Hooligan slowly pulls out a grenade from his pocket. "I'm sorry." He pushes Ci out of the blast radius and pulls the pin. Magical energy erupts around him in a huge explosion. When the dust settles and smoke clears, Hooligan is gone. All that's left is a pile of ashes.

 

(Hooligan survived but Ci needs to think he's dead)

As she saw Hooligan take out the bomb, Bolt gasped. "Ho-Hooly? What...what's that..."

 

She braced herself as the grenade exploded. As a demon, this didn't affect her, but as the dust settled nothing was left but ashes.

 

"Hooly...."

 

Tears fell from Bolt's eyes. "No....this...it...can't....be...." She came closer. "Hooligan?"

Hooligan suddenly appeared at the edge of Equestria. Unbeknowest to Ci, Hooligan had managed to teleported away before the blast hit. He collapsed on the ground and burst into tears. He had lost his best friend in the world. But at least she could have a better life now. Now that he was dead.

 

(I was thinking you post then a time skip to when Hooligan is 19. Ci will probably have moved on as well)

Bolt couldn't believe it. Her best friend had just committed suicide. She supposed that the place Hooligan mentioned was...heaven? Or was it hell?

 

She gasped. Of course! She was a demon. She could just teleport to heaven or hell and bring back Hooligan!

 

Bolt transported to the hell dimension. She looked around for her friend. No luck.

 

She went to heaven and couldn't find him there either. She plopped down on a cloud and cried. "Come back, Hooly....please...."
