"Riley, what are you doing!?" said Gadget as he tried to pull her off of the stallion.

 

Redwood simply let out a sigh and asked the nearest pony, "'Scuse me, would y'all happen to know where ah could get some coolant fer that there truck?"

 

Gadget wasn't too happy about Riley jumping on another stallion, and it seemed like she wasn't herself.

"oh your no fun Gadget... you can't have all of me... that's too much for one stallion to handle..." Riley said before pulling Gadget into the back of the truck and hiding the keys in a secret area that she knew of

 

"yeah in that tanker over there... it's pricey though..." the pony said

As Gadget got out of the back of the truck and went around to the front, he found Redwood waiting in the passenger seat.

 

"Ah got th' coolant we need," she said without so much as a glance at him.

Riley nervously climbed into the drivers side and started the engine, she backed the truck out onto the road and into another truck, the driver was not happy Riley had put a massive dent into his truck that would cost a lot to fix, he pulled Riley down from the cab and before she could open her mouth hit her and threw her unconscious body against her truck's coolant tanks

Before Gadget could even finish swearing, Redwood was out of the truck and on top of the pony who had hit Riley. She delivered a hard blow to his face then brought her knee to his stomach. Redwood made sure that she pinned the trucker so he couldn't fight back.

I3-63 took over from Riley, "Combat systems engaged, Detecting hostile lifeforms..." I3-63 then pulled out it's .44 and fired on the trucker who had got Redwood's mane in his teeth and was using it to pull her off of him, "Be advised I am authorised to use lethal force against attackers"

Redwood was in the middle of trying to strangle the trucker when Riley put a bullet in him. "Where th' hell were those combat systems when we were fightin' them slavers out on th' highway?"

 

It seemed odd that only now Riley's synth functions were becoming apparent.

It seemed odd that only now Riley's synth functions were becoming apparent.

I3-63 handed control back to Riley, "Combat systems? what do you mean? I have combat systems now? I don't remember that... like not at all... Gadget? what exact memories did you remove?" Riley said looking into the cab a massive cut running across her back from where she hit the tank

"okay... so why can't I remember these apparent 'combat systems' that I have?" Riley said, "and more so why didn't I use them on the highway?" Riley was confused "C'mon your smart, don't you know why I can't remember this stuff?" Riley cocked her head adorably and got into the truck

"Right okay then, Riley had taken a different route home and was brought to a stop at a checkpoint, "s'cuse me ma'am but you'll need a police escort for transit through here, just write your name and cargo and we'll get you sorted with an escort, Luddites y'see they attack the supply trucks comin' through here, just a routine precaution, I'm sure you'll understand" a Stallion said handing an old newspaper on which there were two columns one with name and the other load, Riley filled out the paper and was guided into a parking lot filled with other trucks

Gadget on the other hand couldn't be more delighted to see so many working prewar vehicles. He didn't think he would ever see one, let alone this many in his life.

Gadget on the other hand couldn't be more delighted to see so many working prewar vehicles. He didn't think he would ever see one, let alone this many in his life.

Riley was forced to park next to some sleezeball who would not stop checking her out, she got out the truck he checked her out, she went to get a soda, he went to get a soda and checked her out, on her last trip to the small food and drink stand he was so daring as to put his hoof on her flank making her almost shoot his face off

The Stallion winked at Riley as he walked back to his truck, once Riley had brought the three the checkpoint's equivalent of food the Stallion from the gate house came through the parking lot and put notices on the windscreens of the trucks stating that transit was currently impossible because the ponies who were meant to escort being dead

Redwood tore the notice off of the truck's windshield and said, "Ah ain't waitin' around fer no escort. Ah think ah'm perfectly capable of handlin' whatever comes at us."

 

She was about done with waiting, and she wasn't going to be kept here any longer than she already had been.

She was about done with waiting, and she wasn't going to be kept here any longer than she already had been.

Many trucks were already on there way travailing in convoy out onto the road, Riley followed after the Sleezeball, as they were driving a group of Ludites attacked the convoy one even shot the Sleezeball's tyre causing his truck to swerve off the road and slam into Riley's, both trucks flipped over and landed on their side blocking the road for all the trucks behind them causing a pileup of trucks, Riley's and the Sleezeball's were the only two not crushed by the mountain of metal

Redwood was shooting at the Luddites before they had even gone off of the road.

 

"Ah ain't done with y'all yet!" she said, taking cover behind the wreckage of one of the trucks and firing at any stragglers.

 

This was not a good situation, to say the least. Redwood just hoped that Gadget could get the truck running again.

Riley had fallen onto Gadget when the truck flipped and was out cold, many survivors from the crash picked up whatever weapons they could find and opened fire on the Luddites, several were picked off and sent flying down the massive heap of metal to enter through some tarpaulin or something

Riley was perfectly silent, there was no quiet hum of electrics at work, or opening of hydraulics, she had a massive dent in her head a MASSIVE dent that had more likely damaged her central PCB than not, she just lay there eyes closed covered in scratches to her paint work and dents, it seemed like she was dead...

Gadget was swearing profusely, frantically trying find some way to fix Riley. He removed the dented panel and saw that her PCB had suffered damage, but with a little luck, Gadget just may have been able to fix it.

 

"Quick, I need that truck's radio!" he said to Redwood.

 

She tore the radio out of the truck's cabin and tossed it over to Gadget, who quickly set about taking parts out of it. He didn't have much to work with, but using the radio parts, he had at least made it so Riley wouldn't die.
