A mechanical voice said "Do not be alarmed law abiding citizens will not be harmed," as a large four legged robot strolled around the corner looked at Fire and Gadget and fired a few lasers at the ponies intruding into the factory, it got close enough and hit the two with it's metal hooves

Gadget took cover and began shooting back, but his aim was unfortunately not the best. "Fire, now's your chance to earn that good word!"

Fighting had never really been Gadget's strong suit, and now he wished that he had spent a little more time in the firing range.

Fire nodded and began to put his hoof to hoof combat training to use which was quite dumb as the robot was metal and Fire wasn't, the Robot hit Fire square in the face and knocked him to the ground with a comical clanging sound as he fell to the steel floor

"For fuck's sake, use your gun!" said Gadget. "You're never gonna get on Echo Squad, let alone catch the commander's attention if you fight like that!" He wasn't faring too much better. Most of his shots missed, but at least Gadget didn't try to punch the protectron.

"what gun?!" Fire said still on the floor "I don't have one!" at that point the protectron's laser hoof fell off and fire picked it up, "nevermind i've got one" he said firing it at the protectron's head, revealing that it's brain was the equivalent of an egg beater

The protectron' brain was a big enough target, so Gadget was able to shoot it fairly easily. "What do you mean you don't have a gun?!" he said as he walked over and extended his hoof out to Fire. "You're a guard for god's sake! Shouldn't you, I dunno, be armed or something?!"

"what do you call these?" Fire held up his front two hooves, he stood up and suggested the idea of splitting up to cover more ground faster which given the nature of their first encounter was probably his worst idea ever but he still ran off in the direction of the managers office

Gadget had no choice but to look around the assembly floor for what he needed. Now that he saw how Fire acted in a combat situation, he was wondering if he would ever get so much as a glance from Redwood. Maybe he had a crush on her because he aspired to be like her.

Fire entered the office and looked around there wasn't much in there but there were a few buttons to push one turned on the factory assembly line another turned on the cranes which kept moving around with no reason to still exist and another activated a few maintenance robots which fussed over the various machines

Suddenly, the entire assembly floor came to life around Gadget. All the various machines started working again, as well as some of the robots. He noticed a few of the maintenance bots, and he figured that he might be able to get what he needed from one of them.

the thing is Fire's button pushing activated the buildings automated security which came onto the factory floor, "hello employee, please present your ID" one robot said, Fire noticed and pressed the button again activating attack mode, the robot's swarmed around Gadget and attacked him

In a panic, Gadget jumped up onto the conveyor belt in an attempt to escape the robots. He was firing frantically at them, barely hitting anything. "Uhh... Fire? I could use some help right now!" Things were definitely not looking good for him, and he just hoped Fire got here in time.

"umm I'm trying!" Fire broke the window using the table which fell onto the head of one robot sending it to the ground "GADGET DUCK!" Fire warned as one of the cranes finally picked a box up, Fire used the broken off laser hoof to take down some robots before it ran out of charge

Gadget ducked and thankfully avoided the crane. He was now lying down on the conveyor belt and madly firing at the the robots, and he just hoped that the belt wasn't leading him to something deadly. Gadget had read enough comics as a colt to know how that could happen.

"of all the belts you could've chosen!" Fire yelled shooting some robotic arms which were ahead of Gadget ready to wrap him up in metal and weld him to the plates the arms fell and crushed the remaining robots, Fire focused his blasts on the conveyor as the machine ahead was clearly meant to push the armour plates into each other,  swinging onto the belt himself he kicked out a section and stopped the belt, he reached out to Gadget offering to pull him up

"thank you Gadget, any way you got those parts your girlfriend needed for that medical robot? or do you need to look through the scrap metal?" Fire said looking back at the piles of Robots lying on the floor and on the machines,many were coming off the broken conveyor belt and falling to the ground

"Hold on, gimme a minute," said Gadget as she walked over to a wrecked maintenance robot. He pulled open a panel on the side and pulled out the components he would need. "Okay, I got the parts. We can get out of here now." Gadget the began to head back to the truck.

"yes finally!" Fire exclaimed happy to be leaving the robot graveyard that he had just created, by accident obviously... Fire held the door for his companion and said "techies first" and holding his hoof out for his nerdy friend to recognise the act of letting him go first

"Oh, thanks," said Gadget. After reloading his laser pistol, Gadget hopped into the driver's seat of the truck and waited for Fire. It was good that he had been willing to help him out, and Gadget wasn't totally sure if he would have been able to do it without him.

Fire walked over to the truck and climbed inside sitting on the passenger seat, "Right! let's go!" he said putting the large amounts of pictures featuring Riley into the glove box, the previous owner of the truck had left his driving gloves in the cab which Fire put on

"woah... cool!" Fire shot the branch off of a dead tree making it fall into the road, "well that was like that when I got here..."he said putting the gun down on the dash board and flicking through the radio channels there were only two and it was defiantly obvious which Riley liked

Gadget swore when Fire shot off the pistol and said, "Can you maybe not make any dumb mistakes with that?" While he definitely needed to be armed, Gadget just hoped that Fire wasn't going to end up shooting himself in the hoof or anything stupid like that.
