Mlp friends Glamoursaurus's

Hello! I wanted to share my custom creations! I'm heavily inspired by mlp and still collect them! I wanted to create something that would compliment my mlp' and combined them with dinosaurs to create Glamoursaurus's!

Looking for some constructive criticism to help improve them, so any suggestions would be great! I was going to put cutie marks on them but haven't yet, the triceratops was going to be a moon dancer custom, I even got the correct doll hair for her haha!

What do you think?

Sorry I'm doing this post on my phone and I haven't been on a message board in years lol

Yah they are made of wire, tin foil and polymer clay. I just sculpt them by hand.

That's seriously impressive. You have quite a good hand for sculpting.

I love the idea of 'glamoursaurs' and these are already looking like they have a lot of potential. The blue one is my favourite, and the white one probably needs a bit of tweaking so there isn't so much hair on the ground and it appears more balanced(if the hair naturally curved back over the body, it should fix this problem).

I love the models themselves and can't wait to see if you make any other dinosaurs.

Perhaps consider some more interesting hair formations(down the blue raptor's spine, fanning out from under the triceratop's skull, etc).

All in all, they look very cool. I'd love to have that blue raptor.

Yah these guys are my first ones, so just playing around and trying to figure out what looks good. I haven't washed and conditioned the other hair except the orange Rex. I styled her hair but never did it to the others. I was tempted to do something different with the trike but once you poke holes there is no going back. Almost felt like making a mane.

I made a pink raptor and am working on a more realistic Rex. It's fun to do.

Do you think the bodies are too plain? I wasn't sure if I wanted to do symbols on them or not.

The models themselves are quite fine and pretty. Some light indentations on the trike's skull might look good. Making more light indentations down their backs to imitate scales would be a nice option too. As they are, they're a smidge plain. However I think this will be best solved by slightly tweaking the models themselves, rather than adding sticker details(like the eyes).

I love the simple pastel models with shiny hair and too many sticker details will probably make it too tacky.

I was thinking of doing some shading with some chalk pastels before baking. Give them more depth. I can also try adding feather details to areas to make them look more bird like, or even flocking them.

That could work out nicely. I think the best approach would be to consider 'less is more'. You don't want too many details muddying up the overall model. The focuspoint being the pretty hair, you want it to really be able to stand out.
