Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

Jack jumped off its head as the Hydra collapsed.

One of the Hydra heads tried to Bite Jack, but he rolled back and his horn started to glow with dark magic.

4 Red spike shot out of his horn at an inside speed that impaled the Hydra's head.

Luna saw one of the heads about to blast trixie with another beam of frost but she teleported and blocked it with her sword causing it to have a glow the same color as the frost beam. She flew over and stabbed the hydra once again this time it froze from it's own frost magic. Luna removed her sword and stabbed the hydra again shattering it. "That should do it." She said

"Good work," Jack said while panting heavily.

The Hydra seemed to be haven slain at last.

"Give a moment, need to regain my breath." he said, dark sparks were coming from his horn as he sat down.

"Was that dark magic?" Trixie walked over and asked Jack "That was so cool!"

Luna waled over to trixie "Do not encourage it. For he may control it now but it best not be fed unless it would become dangerous."

 

Maple was standing there watching the general population of unicorns in the army struggle holding a weapon with out magic. "We will be eliminate use of all magic including flight from winged ponies and earth ponies you may feel weaker. This is something that will give us a much need advantage since they rely heavily on their magical abilities."

Jack nodded

"It ins indeed dangerous I have to admit, but it does hold capabilities that no unicorn could normally use, especially a colt like me. You get used to it once you start using at the age of 5."

"Do not fear We have the most faith in your abilites" Luna leaned closer to Jack "Being honest that was the most fun we have had since our banishment to the moon"

"So Jack..." Trixie said "How close are we exactly to where we need to be, Also what exactly are we looking for?" She continued to keep up the spell as she walked over to the group.

Jack smiled at Luna's answer.

He then looked at Trixie.

"We are getting closer, I may not have been very accurate in our time of travelling, but we are very lucky, we will reach our destination in 20 minutes at most the most."

"And to your question, we are looking for some sort of entrance, it looks like a cave entrance but it leads to a massive underground system, that is where we have to go. But for what we exactly are looking Trixie, that is what I wonder as well Trixie, all I know is this certain energy I explained earlier."

Eventually, they reached the entrance, as Jack suspected, it looked like a normal cave entrance from the inside.

"We should be careful, there could be wild animals in there, and not even to deep how far these caverns can go." he warned.

Luna drew her sword again "We shall handle anything that come our way." She looked at the blade seeing her reflection in it.

Trixie backed away from the entrance "The great and powerful trixie will help from back here." She said nervously.

Jack looked at Trixie.

"While I understand your fear, I would really appreciate it if you came with us inside. If I am going, to be honest, we might things that are going to be.... Nevermind. You just stay here then ok?" he says as he walks into the cave.

Eventually, as they had reached the inside.

It was a real deep way to fall down, only some ice rocks were there to offer any support of walking passage.

"Watch your step." Jack said as he walked back a bit and then tried to get lots of momentum in order to reach the next pillar.

Luna grinned "Fear not young colt we have the ability to fly so crossing this gap shouldn't be anything of a challenge."

 

"Are you serious" Maple said "Using a spear with your hooves isn't that much of a challange." She assumed the usually stance she took when in battle with a stick she was using to train them. "Hey you Pegasus with the black coat. Come here and stand like me." They did, when they took the stance Maple shifted to the left away from the other ponies spear. "Ok, now stab me."

The Pegasus flinched "Captain I'm not gonna..."

"Just do it I'll be fine" Maple snapped back. They did stab at her, she easy side-stepped the tip of the weapon, Bringing her stick down on top of the Pegasus' head "It would have been easier for me to fly to do that but I knew I'd be in situations without that ability for whatever reason now keep practicing."

As they were moving trough the cavern system, eyes were watching from afar.

Some sort of Jeti creature was silently watching his prey as he suddenly dashed.

Jack eventually found the body of a dead body.

"Would you look at that... Turns out to be a soldier from Sombra's army, but this one has been dead for centuries. But what is even more disturbing is that there are signs of inflicted magic upon his body, something was fired straight trough its head." Jack said.

Luna readied her blade "Who or well what could have caused that? And do you think it could still be near here?" She looked around checking to make sure they where ok.

 

After Maple's demonstration some ponies wanted to test her metal. There where 4 of them, each on her sides She stood there blindfolded "I'm ready when you are."

One of the ponies ran at her as soon as they could Maple easily predicted this however since setting it up took a while she lept over the pony's spear landing on it and she hit the pony in the chest hard enough to make him drop the spear he had. She heard 2 on opposite sides running at her she thrust her training stick into the ground jumping on top of it the 2 charging ponies run into each other. She hoped down pinning them both down. The last pony who was testing her had quietly walked up behind her, He rose his spear to stab the armor only to get bucked by her into the nearest wall. She removed the blind fold seeing that all 4 of the ponies where beaten "Don't worry you all don't have to be as good as me just around half as good."

Jack looked more closely at the body. "The one who caused this is probably not alive anymore at this point since the wound itself is really really old." henoted

Jack was looking around until something slammed into him with a massive force.

The Jet creature and Jack smashed on the ice from a 20 feet drop.

Jack started backing away quickly as he kept firing spells at his opponent.

Yet it proved little use as the creature's hide was extremely thick, it tried to punch him.

Jack jumped out of the way at the last moment, but the fist of the creature left a big crack in the ice.

But his Dodge proved rather useless as the creature grabbed his throat with its other arm.

It lifted him in the air and smacked Jack's head straight against an ice pillar.  A sickening scream echoed trough the caverns.

Luna flew down and slashed at the creatures arm violently , Picking Jack up and flying back up the drop "Perhaps it would be best We avoid that thing." She said "Not much farther hopefully."

Maple had finished training most of the unicorns how to use a spear without magic and now was training situational combat like what she had done earlier. A few ponies had asked her how she did that but her only answer was that her hearing is much better than a normal ponies due to her being a vampire-fruit bat pony.

"Aye, I don't even know what creature is, it just popped up from nowhere." he said with a big groan.

The creature roared as its arm was amputated, it climbed back up a pillar and jumped down, away from anyone's sight.

"I really hope its close, I sadly do not know much about this place myself." he said he rested his head on the snow.

"Will whatever that was go after Trixie?" Luna asked "She could be in great danger... However we cannot return to the surface until we find what we are looking for. Let us hope she can protect herself until we get out of here." She pressed onward sheathing her sword.

"I don't think the creature will go outside this caverns, if that were the case it would have attacked us outside way earlier." he said he pulled his head from the snow.

"I am not even sure how of these creatures are here, I was barely able to even scratch one myself."

"We can handle this." Luna said "Stay by me and we should be alright." She traveled deeper into the caves hoping to find whatever it is that Jack needed to find.

 

Maple had finally fully trained the army. "All we need now is for you to learn the Chaos mist spell." Maple said to Woody

"Oh that spells easy I've already learned how to do that." Woody replied "I'm ready when the army is."

"They are." Maple said confidently "all of them are trained how to use a spear without natural abilites as well so the Chaos mist is less crippling on us." She turned to face everypony else "Lets move out!" She shouted to the army.

They eventually reached a massive open area in the caverns.

It was really really big and weird but big contraptions were built all over the place, Bronze Cogwheels were rotating wich stood high above the deep bottoms, but its purpose for what was rather hard to find out.

Massive statues were also built, standing next to a huge door that seemed to be locked into some sort of strange object.

"Would you look at that..." Jack said with an amazed expression.

"I am going to sit down for a second, that creature almost gave me a concussion when it smashed my head against that ice." he said.

"Do not worry yourself that is fine with me." Luna said. She walked over to the big machine things examining them What do these things do She thought and what happens if it stops she used her magic to try and stop one of the bronze cogwheels from moving.

When the magic was used there was a slight change.

2 of the statues rotated in the direction of the door and started to extend their arms to the platform so it would trigger something.

But one of the statues broke off and crashed into the depths, because of it being so ancient.

Luna watched the other ones movements tying to copy what it was doing with her magic so whatever the statues where trying to do would still happen it seemed like it was important.

 

Maple was scared but didn't show it. She was worried how many ponies would get hurt during this battle or worse. She was confident, however, that the enemy unicorns without their magic would be easly taken care of. The army was in position now all they had to do was wait.

Eventually, something triggered, and the mechanism on the door rotated a bit, the door slowly opening.

But the someone from behind was using his magic to jam the door, and slammed it closed.

Hoofsteps could be heard from behind the door as the one responsible sprinted away, the hoof steps eventually fading out.

Jack looked rather disturbed.

Luna used her magic to open the door again and was about to run after the pony but she knew that she couldn't leave him by him self otherwise he might get hurt. She walked over to him "Come now let us go after this pony together." She proceeded a bit slowly so Jack could easily keep up.

Jack nodded as he followed her.

As they followed the Pony's trail they eventually came into a big open room.

Dead bodies lay around it that have been death for quite some time.

"This is quite the surprise, I expected the colt to appear here alone, but you? You have made quite the decision."

The voice came from Crimson Vision, standing upon the upper platform with 20 unicorn's staring down at them, some holding crossobw's.

Jack gritted his teeth, he silently drew his knife from his cloak.
