Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

Maple stormed to her home. She opened the door. "Dad I need help."

"What's the matter." He looked at Jack "Oh no. I understand now. I'll see what I can do but I'll..."

"Oh right." She released the magic inside her. it returning to it's rightful owners respectively. Her appearance and strength level returned to normal "I'll need that again, however Crimson's still alive."

Woody walked over to Jack as well Both the Dragonequus stated to work on bringing Jack back from his state of mind.

Jack was almost in like a dreaming state, only this was not just a dream. It was a full-fledged nightmare that was constantly repeating its horror.

Thousands of whispers were talking to him from every corner, the words sucking into his ears.

"So this is the choice I made, spending the rest of eternity into a never ending limbo... But I guess there is least one thing I did good, I stopped Apocrypha from gaining access to Equestria.  I guess I will have to face the consequences of my actions." he said as he blankly stared in the never ending void of his dream.

Maple was standing over Jack "Please be ok."

"Sister, Dad can handle the dark magic, here take my magic..." He paused "And go get the other alicorns as well with crimson still out there He's still a threat."

Twilight and Fluttershy happened to walk in at the moment Twilight looked a Woody "Maple, alicorn magic what?"

Maple ran over to her Twilight I need you magic to save Equestria. Please."

Twilight looked at Fluttershy who shrugged. "Alright. I trust you."

Maple, after receiving Twilight's power flew to canterlot to receive Celestia, Luna and Cadence's Powers as well. Then she was approached by Flurry who offered to lend her strength too seeing how hard she fought last time. She accepted 5 alicorns and a dragonequus's Magic. She was going to save everyone. "Ready or not here I come."

"764, 765, 766, 76- I CANNOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!" He shouted his lungs out in the endless void.

He started sobbing on the ground, curling up as he let all of his emotions out at once.

"WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS ALL?! ALL I WANTED WAS TO HAVE A FAMILY AND FEEL COMFORT FROM OTHERS, BUT INSTEAD HERE I AM CRYING IN LIMBO!!!" he shouted so loud until he was no longer able to speak for a while.

Discord had a new idea he walked into Jacks mind thus being able to speak with him about this and maybe even get his help he arrived just in time to hear Jack screaming something

He walked over to Jack "Perhaps it's because you pushed everypony away... Even your adopted mother. When I saw you running, You told me no one would miss you but Maple... She risked her life to save you. That's why I'm here now. To help bring you back to her."

Maple, Trying to find out where Crimson went, was in griffinstone looking for any clue of where he went.

Jack looked with a pained expression.

"But what then once I come back? They will just come for me and try to murder me all over again."

"Many will tell me that i will have to fight them myself, but to what extend? I am NOT a warrior, if it weren't for others who constantly save me from danger then i would not even be witn any of you anymore.... What choice do i have?" he said with a pained expression.

"Unfortunately you're in Fluttershy's cottage unconscious I believe." Discord said putting his paw on his shoulder "Maple found out you sacrificed yourself but came to your rescue anyways. She wants you to make it through this... More than she wants to make it through this. Jack you just need more practice to defend yourself and good heavens your a wonder with that dark magic, You are really underestimating you abilities. Trust me if those guys come back then they'll have to deal with one of the strongest bat ponies, 2 dragonequus and a scared pegasus." He chuckled at the last one. "They won't get you even if they try."

Maple was gaining on crimson. She was gonna put him down for good this time, Hopefully. She thought

"I do agree that you guys are strong, I have no doubt in that. But it's going to be too dangerous to stay in Ponyville for me while they are still roaming.

And even tough you can hold them off without much effort,  the beings of Apographa seem to hold a massive grudge against you, meaning they will definitely come here, but with me being here, I am putting the lives of Everypony at risk here. I hate to hide but I have no other choice, I would need to hide somewhere that is very closely guarded at all times, Ponyville is so open that sometimes even creatures of the everfree tend to come into town when they are lost."

"No matter how strong you guys are, they will do anything in order to draw me out, especially since I am the last member of my family bloodline, and ever since I got rescued from apographa, I would not be surprised if their desperation is as strong as ever. I know this all to well from them, using scare and civilian slaughter tactics in order to lure out their targets from safety.

Crimson had ordered his soldiers to drag all the corpses of the Griffons at the same place, creating a big pile.

He then saw Maple incoming.

"Get those bodies back to Apographa, I have something to attend to." he said with a dismissing hoof.

His followers nodded as they opened a gateway and piled all of the bodies in it, all of them moving trough the gateway and closing it after that.

Discord's eyes widened "That's what this is about. A pony names crystal rose the last of a royal bloodline got killed earlier today. I'm sorry to tell you this but it was a bit after that when Maple brought you here. Then she stormed off again to go fight Crimson to the death... Do you think that's what he wanted?"

Maple landed in front of crimson "Look. You know as well as I do that I don't want Jack getting mixed up in all this. I'll see about making you a deal..." She paused letting him make an offer...

Jack closed his eyes as he showed signs of dread.

"Crimson would have killed Crystal Rose regardless of what would have happened, he hunts down any who's families were in some way closely related to himself in order to remove any traces. And to be truthful, I had been stuck in Apographa before, and barely managed to escape the first time."

"But what concerns me more right now is the fact that Maple is walking straight into his trap, Crimson is baiting her into making the battle happen. When Maple dies, she is done for good, but when Crimson dies, it is not something I can call the same outcome, sure his body will be dead,  but its like I mentioned before, I sensed 2 beings into him. One is in Equestria while the other one controls his movements straight from Apographa, whatever he is planning, the murdering of innocent ponies was not just to use as a scare tactic, he has been collecting the bodies in order for a greater purpose knowing him, but I don't know what it is...." Jack said with defeat.

Crimson raised an eyebrow at her surprising answer.

"That is rather surprising considering your circumstances." he replied dryly.

Discord started to panic but calmed down. "Maple will be fine this time for sure after all she has the power of..." He counted on his fingers "at least 5 alicorns right now. Man that'll cause quite the magical head ache in the morning... Anyways the reason I came in here in the first place. How do I expel this Magic that's keeping you in this dream-esq state?"

"Crimson there's something you don't understand. This is it your only chance of survival now make a promise to never get near Jack again or else you will die here." She took a offensive stance and got ready to attack. Her spear glowing brilliantly like the stars themselves.

Jack sighed.

"I am afraid there is no way to dispell this there was no magic involved in the state I am currently in, but if I am not mistaken, I should get my senses back in around a few days, 2 weeks tops. It's hard to say, the powers that come from Apographa don't apply the same as in Equestria since its an entirely different dimension."

Crimson had a neutral expression his face.

"Fine, have it your way." he said rather nonchalantly.

Discord nodded "I'll stay here if you'd like at least for a while so you don't get super sad again. Want to talk about something?"

Maple was a bit confused "Fine. Face your death then" She slashed at Crimson ready to end him.

Jack looked at Discord.

"Actually Discord, could I ask you for a small favour? Is it ok if Princess Luna comes here, I just feel a lot more comfortable and safer with her around, I can relate to her a lot after, giving my history and such." he said.

Crimson looked surprised for a moment, he knew Maple had gotten a power boost, but not that her speed had increased this dramatically.

He quickly shot some sort of magical tentacle out of his horn that acted as a whip.

The whip itself was not meant to damage the opponent but rather stun/interrupt its attacks. It pushed Maple a bit back, wich, in turn, he quickly tried to strike her with his sword, intending on hitting her exposed parts with a fast slash.

Discord was about to say yes but then remembered Maple had her magic "I'll see if she's not busy and then I'll return." He stepped out of Jacks mind back into Fluttershy's living room.

Woody sprang up when he arrived "Well dad. How'd it go?"

"It went well." Discord said "He'll wake up soon he told me but it's something that'll have to happen on it's own now if you'll excuse me I have to go get Luna." He flew off heading for canterlot.

Even though Maple was knocked off guard she still managed to deflect the sword with the wood part her spear. She spun the weapon in her hoof to line up the blade and lept forward to stab the ponies heart.

Crimson tried to dodge quickly, but Maple was too fast for him to dodge.

While the blade did not go directly trough him into his heart, it managed to go very deep into his body, penetrating his thick armour.

Crimson fell to the ground with his bleeding wound.

He used to his powers to quickly seal the wound with the same material was used on those magical implants.

But despite the wound being sealed, it did weaken him to a strong degree, while not weaker in terms of magic, his physical condition was weakened a lot.

For the first time, Crimson had a look of pure hatred in his eyes.

He roared insanely loud, almost the volume of a Dragon's roar, every shred of unicorn he had left in him had started to go away after the monster he had turned into thanks to the inflictions of Apographa.

He won't all out as he created 8 copies of himself and his copies including himself leapt at her from every direction, their blades planning on stabbing her completely.

Discord tapped on Luna's shoulder Jack would like to see you in his mind. He opened a door to let her enter Jacks mind.

"Hello, Jack nice to see you again."

Maple didn't know how to react in this situation...

She attacked a few of them with her spear before any of the clones hit her but after she was hit by one, 4 other his cut her. As before Maple ignored the injuries and kept Standing gritting her teeth.

Jack smiled.

"Hello, Princess Luna is good to see you too."

Crimson was starting to let his anger overtake him.

He teleported back a bit and started firing countless of magic spells towards Maple in an attempt to incinerate her completely.

But Crimson was starting to show his one true weakness.

His exposure to Apographa was truly changing him into a monster, he kept roaring like a wild beast while he was going out of control, his rage never ending as his only satisfaction was to destroy Maple peace by peace until his nemesis was gone for good.

"Well are you going to talk with her then." Discord said. "Because getting her here wasn't too easy."

Maple was managing to deflect most of the blast crimson shot at her. She knew she couldn't keep this up much longer. She focused on the horn of her enemy and threw her spear at it. She collapsed onto her knee she was losing quite a lot of blood from the injuries. She had to protect equestria and she knew she did her best to do that but she won't die here she flew as far away as she could before losing consciousness and falling to ground.

Jack nodded "Thanks, Discord, I can understand it hasn't been easy, Apographa. has been in shadowing my mind ever since, while I am currently

out of there, its powers are still here, however, it should take a few days before that link will fade, the same time i will wake up. But it is going to be hard to say if i am free from his grasp forever, I may be back in Equestria, but that will do little to stop him, i am still his slave after all." he said with grim.

Crimson scowled at the distance.

"This is far from over, You have not seen the last of me." he said to no one in particular as he moved trough a portal that let straight trough Apocrypha.

Luna looked confused "A slave? Apographa? What is this fowl place you speak of I will See to it that all the ponies there are freed."

Maple Woke up in the forest in a small puddle of her blood. "Grrr... That blade of his really god me good." She released the alicorns magic in case if she died. She stood up weakly and looked around at her surroundings. She was in a jungle. "Help!" She cried but as far as she could tell there was no one around.

Fluttershy who was still with Twilight heard her voice and recognized it. "Maple!" She ran over.

"Apographa is an alternate dimension from that of Equestria. But it that is the very same place where Crimson Vision had been hiding, growing

his powers for a thousand years after since what happened to the Crystal Empire. But I know that place all too well, to my very shame my parents gave me birth in that Dimension, they were being held as slaves along with 3000 other ponies, some have been there for centuries since in Apographa you don't age, the laws of physics just work differently there.

But the biggest horror behind this all is that Apographa is not just a dimension, it's a massive entity where that dimension is his body in a sense, and he keeps those slaves to do his personal bidding. From what i can summarise he has been aiding Crimson considerably..." Jack said with sadness.

"An older generation of my family had ties to high followers of Sombra's army, they want to eliminate anypony who still holds ties to their past, to remove any trace of evidence that Apographa exist, i was the only pony left who managed to escape and am still alive to this very day, the moment i escaped for the first time they must have been outraged, knowing that their secrets won't stay like that forever.."

Luna wasn't sure to comfort him or Ask about their secrets She settled on the first one "you are safe now in equestria. I perhaps could unleash the tantibus on that realm it would destroy it once and for all." Just then a big purple orb forced it's way through the way Discord and Luna entered and when into Luna "My Magic? Oh no."

Discord said "I'll go make sure she's alright you stay here."

Maple fell again. She heard a familiar voice "Mom? Is that really you."

"Oh... oh no" She was panicking "I... I have some first aid for the animals but it should help you."

Twilight ran over after fluttershy dashed off seeing her trying to help Maple she looked at the Bat pony's wounds "What happened?"

"Long story." She responded with.

Jack was confused for a second when he saw what was happening, but he gave a quick nod as he sat down.

But a few minutes later he suddenly looked up in the sky, and what he saw confused him a lot, until he felt his stomach clamp together, realising what he saw.

Some sort of black mass was forming, and countless of weird looking eyes were attached to it.

"You think you can escape me so easily? You are forgetting something boy, I OWN you. And no matter what you do, it won't change the outcome."

Jack was looking at the mass void with a scowl.

"What I am even worth to you? You have a lot stronger unicorns in your slave batch, and you certainly do not want me because of my bloodline, Crimson wants. So what do you even hope to achieve with constantly claiming me as your own?" Jack said with disgust.

"I have no interest in your body neither your fragile unicorn powers, I only have an interest in that puny soul of yours, I am not one to squander my investments, and having such pure souls from an entirely different dimension gives new possibilities. Besides, who are you to speak? Last time you willingly condemned yourself to me and here you are, doing the exact opposite, where did this form of resistance come from Jack?"

Jack gave him an angry glare in return.

The black void started to alter the dream itself, the environment changing in a green void, with orange crystals surrounding the place.

Luna picked up jack unsure if the ground was going to fall out "Fear not Jack. We are still with you!" She was ready to start flying if the ground gave way.

Fluttershy was working frantically trying to help Maple. She had covered most of the wounds but she had run out of supplies.  "You're lucky we came back otherwise..." She had a worried expression."

Twilight was trying to do something, anything to help "Where's your armor?" She said looking for it

Maple groaned a bit and laid down chest up. "It disappeared I think..."

Twilight gently put her hoof on her chest. "Tell us what happened we need to know."

"Ugh Alright!" Maple said explaining the fight with Crimson.

After she finished the story Twilight shook her head "You're lucky you got away Crimson could have killed you." Twilight said.
