Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

Maple was leading a spear-head charge meaning if she didn't engage a pony someone behind her would she was hopeing to drive the point home on the leader, and then save the other ponies That would have been the plan but Maple saw her brother was under attack and She broke formation to protect him.

Woody was pinned down, a blade about to go through his chest when his sister killed the pony who was threatening. "Thanks for that."

"No problem" she said looking at the enemy leader "Pause time so I can fight Crimson."

Woody nodded and complied with her ,Order?,  He used his magic to freeze time again and waited until Maple was close then dropped the spell.

Maple swung her spear harshly and without mercy at the enemy commander

Antacius looked a bit surprised when he suddenly saw Maple appear in front of him within the span of a second (because of the time stop.)

The spear hit its mark, and Antacius only had a second to react, but the spear hit his armour with a strong impact, creating a strong dent in his heavy crafted armour.

He teleported back a bit and created a strong red barrier around himself.

His horn started to glow, but to the uttermost surprise, one of his soldiers started floating up in the air, and its body exploded entirely.

This action seemed to make Antacius magic strength increase by a strong amount.

He started firing flaming trails of fire towards the Equestrian army, somewhere brutally incinerated while others managed to dodge the flames in a hair of time.

Jack's heart was beating at an insane rate as he was carefully moving over the ledges.

'This is one of the most stupid things I have ever done by far...' he thought to himself.

Maple knew that he was trying to get her to break why not try the same thing. "Oh are you hiding behind a shield now. Am I just that scary to you?"

Woody meanwhile had been nearly burned by one of the giant fire trails then he remembered the Chaos Mist. He summoned that forth the same way his father did blanketing the whole area in it all magic for both armies stopped working as well as all air born pegasi fell to the ground most of them not getting to injured now the only ponies that had their abilities where himself and his sister.

Maple saw the magic shield drop as the Chaos mist moved to where they where and prepared herself to attack again.

Antacius remained silent in order to not reveal his true identity, but to his annoyance, his barrier vanished because of the mist.

'Chaos mist? They think magic is my only weapon? Fools.' he thought as something in his armour clicked.

3 poison needles emerged from each of his hooves, acting as tiny claws but as poison stings at the same time.

As he saw Maple charging again, he took a defensive stance, planning on counter attacking.

Jack had been climbing for what seems to be an hour. He eventually reached a pillar.

He looked down and saw a small river that was inside the city of Canterlot, acting as a sewer system.

"What I am going to do is absolutely crazy, but I cannot keep climbing forever, I guess it's a leap of faith, just hope I haven't gotten soft on my parkour skills." he was mumbling out loud to himself." he looked down and took a deep breath.

He closed his eyes as he jumped straight down, intending on landing into the sewer system.

Some of the ponies who resides in the castle looked with shock on their faces as they saw a colt jump straight down from the roof.

Maple saw the pony tense up taking a defensive stance she flipped her spear drove the non-Bladed end into the ground and pole vaulted over the pony stabbing downwards while airborne aiming for the spine.

Woody meanwhile was hidden among the snow since if he was found the mist would vanish.

The spear managed to penetrate trough the armour, he felt the spear go trough his armour and into his flesh.

The implant part in his body suddenly kicked in as a reflex as he threw himself and Maple to the ground.

With some of the strength he still had in him, he dug his needle claws of his back hooves straight in the exposed parts of Maple's armour. But his illusion spell was starting to wear off because of the smoke, revealing his true identity.

Jack eventually landed into the water with a big splash, his entire body shuddered onto the force when he went underwater. He quickly tried to climb out of the water as his body felt pretty sore from the impact.

He laid down for a minute, trying to regain his strength.

'I cannot believe that worked... I just hope no pony saw me doing that, I need to stay under the radar and hope no pony finds me, I am already taking a big enough risk.' he thought with concern.

Maple felt the needles enter in her exposed stomach. She clenched her teeth, She didn't know where the blades had come from which made her less prepared for the hit. She noticed he had changed appearance "Doesn't matter." She said laying there putting her hoof across the wound "The armies leader is dead. Or well dying." She said to him if he was still alive. She tried to stand up only to fall back down due to the 6 wounds in her gut.

Woody saw the enemy leader fall and nodded to 3 of the generals who where helping him command when they saw Maple win they pressed the attack defeating the army in a matter of minutes. They had won... For now...

It was eventually a good amount of hours later as Jack was in the sewers, sitting there with an dirty coat.

'Not sure when i will be able to leave Canterlot, there are to many ponies walking around right now, i had best wait until night time.' he tought

Luna had seen Jack fall into the sewers but wasn't sure that was actually Jack it could have just been a changeling. She decided to not investigate.

 

Maple meanwhile was laying there trying to find out if the needles she had been struck with where poisoned if they where then she'd seek out help but at the moment she felt ok.

It was eventually around midnight.

Jack started walking trough the canals and eventually reached the streets.

'Now i will need to figure out how i can sneak out of Canterlot without being noticed.

he tought for a moment until a realisition came to him.

'The train! of course, i will just have to sneak upon the train itself.'

he was thinking as he was trying to avoid drawing any attention.

Not many ponies where up this late mostly just bat ponies a few of them saw jack and wondered what he was doing but didn't pay him much attention.

 

Woody had run over after maple hadn't show up yet. "Maple! Are you ok" She started to nod and walk over to him.

Maple started to feel sick. "Yep they're poisoned." She said to him

When Jack was getting close, heard something that made him wide his eyes.

The train was leaving.

As the train was eventually moving, Jack ran towards one of the overlapping bridges, pushing some ponies out of the way as he started sprinting.

He jumped off the bridge and landed straight on the roof of the train with a loud thud, scaring some of the passengers, not knowing what made that sound.

When the train stopped The ponies who where concerned about the noise tried to find a guard but all of them where coming home from the battle so there began to be a bit of a mass panic until Discord put a stop to it with his magic.

Eventually, the train started to slow down, despite not being close to its destination.

Jack narrowed his eyes.

'Did they manage to detect me? I cannot stay around to see what happens next!!'

He thought as he jumped off the still moving train and landing the dirt with a painful roll.

But despite the pain, Jack was sprinting like he was full of adrenaline, sprinting away from the train.

Discord saw Jack jump off and run away from the train. "Jack! Where are you going?" He asked catching up with him "Where's Maple? What about Woody" his voice now had hints of fear in his voice "Are... Are they ok?"

Jack looked surprised when he saw Discord suddenly appear.

"They both have been fighting the Red Enclaves head on from what I remember."

His face then turned into a frown.

"But I am leaving Equestria for good, going to become a mere memory soon." he said as he walked away, not bothering to look back.

Discord picked up Jack by the tail "Why? Is there something that you haven't told Maple. I think it'd be better for you and her if you stayed in equestria." Discord could tell he was gonna go anyways "I know when she finds out you left she'll come looking for you. She's heroic and stuff but she really hates losing someone who trust her... I'll let you down now." he said putting him back down.

"I doubt they will find out, She and everypony else have been so busy to even notice me in the first place."

"Spending all those times alone, being left out in the dirt when I needed them the most, I think they got the message across."

"You take care." Jack said as he walked away, having a different emotion than usual.

Discord was startled that's abnormal behavior for her. "Jack come on, She's your family now... And so am I, you don't need to leave I'll make sure you get to help or I'm not a dragonequus." He said opening a portal in front of him "Trust me if you leave you'll be missed..."

Jack sighed.

"This was not my only reason for leaving, one of the main reasons is because no pony has even the slightest idea what is going on."

"That weird effect in the sky you saw today was not just some diversion, With that spell, they DESTROYED the entire town of Appleloosa and Everypony wich was present there with it!" he said with sadness.

"Well then. Just tell me who's horn I need to take." He said holding Jacks horn. "Ya know like this. No one's safe from chaos after all. I'm listening to you."

 

Maple meanwhile was dying from the poison. Woody and Flurry both where healing her with magic. "It's obviouly only curable through dark magic." She reasoned. "We need to find Jack. He has a lot of magic for this."

Jack sighed.

"If you could take me to the battlefield where the spell had been going on, that would be best. But after that, I need to go somewhere. When I return, ill come back to you guys."

he said.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

He opened another portal that would lead him to where Maple currently was. "Be my guest. Would you prefer me to go with you or not..." He looked a his hand and realized He still had Jack's horn "Here you might need this" he said putting it back

"Thanks Discord."

As he entered the portal, he walked a bit further, until he saw Maple and the others, he walked towards them without saying a word.

He put his horn on Maple's back and it started glowing.

The poison was eventually vaporised.

"Jack..." Maple said laying on the ground. When she felt the poison leave her body she had a moment of realization and she knew what she had to do "I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have gone to fight him since that's what he wants and now until I turn back to normal I'm putting myself under a royal suspension to stand down until further notice." She turned to Woody "You're in charge until whatever this is goes away listen to Jack like you would me." She turned to look back at Jack "Like I should have the whole time"

Woody jumped "I'm sorry your putting yourself on the bench, Just because your appearance looks weird. Maple we need you to fight the real crimson Vision."

Maple shook her head "It's way more complicated than my appearance looks different brother. I strongly believe you all can beat him with out me. Good luck." She flew home to go remind her self of the good times.
