Forsaken of the Everfree 1x1 with Maple Bat

Jack gave her a quick smile.

The black void stopped speaking, it was observing them like a Camera yet it halted its activities.

Tough the stopping didn't remain for very long as the void started to expand.

Some of the eyes in the void starting giving off a rather disturbing glare while those others kept looking and occasionally blinked.

Luna stared into the void. Her horn started to glow "Back fowl dream demon Bother Jacks dreams no longer" She said her voice booming.

Maple managed to stand up after a few minutes. "We need to go home."

Fluttershy said "Well we still haven't found those animals yet."

Maple turned around "I guess it gives me time to heal... Yea Let's go look for them."

The black void suddenly started to laugh, it echoed trough the dream at a rather loud volume, getting rather close to Luna's royal canterlot voice.

"It would be quite rude for me to leave without even claiming my prize now, would it?"

"But you are in no position to make demands Luna, a family reunion should never be delayed."

Luna almost growled when he said that. "You are no real family of Jack's if this is the way you treat him." She continued booming "I'm sorry but I won't let a child face abuse from anypony now as the princess of the dream realm I demand that you Leave this dream." The last part she said Yelling in her royal canterlot voice.

"You should have stayed on the moon when you still had the chance."

The void seemed to be changing a bit in shape, all of the eyes were glaring at Luna and Jack with an Uttermost malice.

The floor under them seemed to almost liquify, but it just faded away.

Jack started trembling in fear as he was starting to realise what the void was trying to do.

The void started to grow bigger and bigger, the red crystals wich previous just stood there now started to head towards their direction.

Luna, unfazed, ascended since she was hovering slightly above the ground "Fear not Jack 'Tis only a dream. No harm will befall you here." She used a bubble spell to protect the two of them. She also blasted at the Void with a laser beam from her horn.

Jack managed to calm a bit, but he was staring at the void with fear.

But the void itself started acting rather weird when it got hit by the laser, it started becoming smaller until it was completely gone ou of the dream.

Luna smiled see as it had left. "See we told you you would be fine." She returned to the ground "Guessing you don't know when your going to wake then?"

About that time Discord Walked back in to the dream "I'm back... Did I miss something?"

Maple had found the animals since they where moving only after night fall and Maple's nocturnal eyes spotted them. So the trio was on their way back to ponyville

Jack looked a bit nervous. "I am not sure guys, it seems rather too convenient for that thing to just leave after one attack. He possesses the powers

made up of an entire realm, he would have no reason to fall back like this, I think he is just waiting for the right time to strike guys." Jack said back

"But to answer your question, I don't know sadly when i am going to exactly wake up, perhaps a few days, 2 weeks at the very most? It is hard to say since that thing had tried to remove my vitals from the inside out not too long ago." he sat with worry.

Discord flinched "Disgusting Someone should really have a talk with this pony."

"Never Fear I will guard your dreams until you wake then your mother may wish to speak with you." Luna winked at Jack

"He is technically not really a pony, he is more like a massive void, he does not even have a physical body for all I know, he likes to take the appearance

of a black void with many eyes but other than that you won't really see his appearance." Jack explained

Jack smiled at Luna.

"I do think that thing is still watching us right now, even tough we may not see him, he can alter his form into nothingness, rendering it invisible from our eyes."

Luna laid down next to jack. "Well what if somepony let's say accidentally unleashed a world destroying monster on this Void?"

Discord flew over "Wait Luna do you mean tantabus? That things uncontrollable and last time it showed up you couldn't beat it alone and Maple got her wicked scar. You know the one that's under her hair."

Luna sighed "Yes We mean that one Discord and We are still unsure how she got a scar in the real world when she got hurt in the dream world."

Jack looked confused for a second until he realised what she meant.

"Actually, it does sound like a pretty good idea. It might, of course, be dangerous but from what I have heard, didn't you stop it yourself last time Luna? All you have to do is mimic the same action you used last time. While I might not have been there, I have heard from some ponies who happened to be there during that dream."

"Sometimes the more destructive forces need to be unleashed in order to battle the greater threats, that is what my motto was when I started to develop the control of my dark magic bit by bit."

"Well I guess it could work.." Luna said "But keeping it in that void could be hard given the size of the Tantabus."

Around that time there was a knock on the entrance into Jack's mind

Maple and the others had arrived Back in ponyville. Maple was going to tell thew princess why their magic had returned early when she saw a random door.

Discord had left the door visible in the real world Maple knew what it was going into someponys mindscape she knocked on the door.

Jack suddenly got rather startled by the sound that came out of nowhere.

"W-what is going?" he said

He then decided to call out.

"Who is there?  he asked.

The black void reappeared very subtly, it's appearance blending in with the air around them as it was silently watching them.

Discord smacked himself in the face "I seem to have left the entrance to you mind visible someones knocking on it." He walked over to the door. "Oh hey Maple."

"Hey dad." She said back "Who's mind's it?"

"Jack's..." He hesitated "What happened to you?" He said referring to the bandages that covered a little under half of Maple's coat.

"Got cut up quite a bit by Crimson." She said "I'll be ok. May I enter?"

"It's really up to Jack" He looked at him.

Jack nodded.

"Hey Maple, it is really good to see you." he said with a smile.

"I also thank you for saving me in the first place, tough things are looking rather hectic at the moment," he said

During their conversation, the black void started to grow a bit again. And with a very fast move, a dark transparent shadow speeded straight past them. It speeded straight trough the door and slammed it shut.

Luna, Maple, and Discord all prepared for battle.

Maple reacted quickest, due to her training, moving to protect Jack standing above him. "Who's there? Show yourself!"

When Discord reacted he used his magic to attempt to summon another door.

Luna, who reacted last stood in the center of the 4 ready to put up a shield if it would be necessary.

Meanwhile outside of Jacks head Woody, Fluttershy and Twilight where by him while the others where in his head because if Jacks mind got erased then so would anypony in his mind.

While only a part of the black void had escaped to Equestria, the rest of it had stayed behind in Jack's dream, it had the same appearance as before.

Its countless of eyes staring at the group as the dark void seemed to swirl around and increase in size slowly.

"What is this? More ponies.... You should visit with me, I have gifts for one and all."

  The void seemed to speak at a similar volume as when Maple first met him in Apographa.

Luna and Discord both started to back up a bit but Maple refused to move. "I don't care about whatever you consider a gift. You are selfish, Evil, and A fowl excuse for a personality. So whatever these gifts are I'm not interested!"

Luna prepared to fire another beam at the void...

"Then how about a game?"

"Perhaps that will increase your *interest*."

Suddenly the entire dream started to shake and reform. There was a bright flash, but what followed was something rather unexpected.

Jack's entire dream space had been turned into some sort of space that resembled a lot like the depths of Apogropha.

Everyone was separated from each other, all in a different position in a massive maze of tunnels.

Jack looked at him with a scared look on his face.

"Let the fun begin Children."

Discord reacted with an odd combination of laughter and disappointment "Oh no A maze. I've never seen this before." He said sarcastically moving away from the place he started

Luna sighed and started to move through the tunnels "Fine be that way. But we are unfazed by this."

Maple giggled "Ohh! I love mazes." She started to fly through the tunnels after about a minute she got curious "So what are these gifts of yours anyways? I'll tell you if I want it or not."

"You will so in due time."

Jack had for some reason been seperated from the group, he stood there looking around with an scared expression.

'What is going on here..' he tought to himself as he kept looking around.

Each of them alone where calling out trying to find the others

Discord repeatedly called out to his daughter.

Luna called all the others names Maple, Jack and Discord.

Maple kept calling out trying to find Jack. Despratly flying to find him before the dream void did.

Jack been silent the entire time, he was very cautious, trying to listen what was happening around him, yet he heard nothing.

Suddely a black tentacle shot out out of the ground and wrapped around his left backhoof.

It was dragging him away as he tried to resist, he quickly fired an spell at the tentacle, destroying it.

But 5 creatures had formed around him, all looking rather weird.

"Damn it." he cursed as he backed up to all, his horn glowing.

He then started firing spells at his enemies, tough the spells din't really seem to affect them.
