Fluttershy watched the guards shoot one of their own, She was horrified "W... What..." She gasped "Why would they shoot their friend like that..." She was once again upset by the happenings but couldn't seem to muster up any sort of bravery from any of it, She wished she knew how Maple did it, She could muster up courage to fight a battle she knew she could win and stay willing enough to see it through long enough until help arrived for her. Woody seemed to have developed such an ability too as of recently. "Help!" She yelled "P... Please!" Celestia heard and started running back.

Jack started to make a desperate move as he knew he would not able to run to any cover in time.

He instead used his magic to throw himself straight into one of the enemies before he could fire his weapon at him.

The guard, however, managed to regain his balance and tackled Jack to the ground, but however did not see a bullet coming that went straight for his head.

Jack had been able to free one his arms and had used his pistol to shoot the guard straight to his head, which caused the dead guard's body to fall straight upon Jack, which trapped him underneath it.

The 8 remaining guards were not going to stand around, so they started to fire at the body, hoping that some of the bullets would go straight through in an attempt to hit its mark.

"S..." Fluttershy started but she was so scared eventually she built up a bit courage "Hey! What is the matter with all of you! No regard for any sort of life not even your own." She taunted "I'm right here... Come and get me!" She said hitting one of the guard's armor, probably hurting herself more in the process but she hoped she'd serve as a distraction for long enough so Celestia could get to where they were.

The guard grunted as it backed up against the wall from Fluttershy's.

"You scoundrel..." The guard growled.

While Fluttershy was facing the guard she had attacked.

One of the other guards who had been firing at Jack's position grabbed Fluttershy by the air and punched her.

It was perhaps not a very strong punch, but it was meant more to keep her from squirming.

"What should we do with this creature?" The guard holding Fluttershy by the air asked.

"You and you." he pointed towards 2 guards. "You 2 guard our front.

He then looked at Fluttershy's captor.

"You, keep her in check." In wich, the guard nodded and pinned Fluttershy to the ground with its full body weight.

"Do not worry about the boy, he is trapped. We will just have to suffocate them it seems." The guard said as he dropped 2 sorts of grenades on the floor, which released a gas that was meant to suffocate victims to death, but the guards remained unaffected due to their gas masks.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that." Celestia said throwing the guard off of Fluttershy with her magic and doing the same with Jack, lifting both of her friends onto her back and the moving away from the room she strained her magic to pull the roof down, causing the ceiling to collapse blocking them from chasing them into the hall "Are you both alright?" Celestia asked wearily

Fluttershy nodded weekly "I'm ok... I just want to go home. I don't want to fight anymore" She said "I wanted to do it for Equestria but I can't anymore... I just... can't."

Jack groaned a bit.

"Can't say i am really doing that well. We almost died from one ambush, and there going to happen plenty soon without a doubt, i would call it a true mericle if we will get out of here alive, i can't say i am very lucky at a second escape operation." Jack said as he shifted a bit, looking a bit disturbed as his blood soaked coat, being a bit overwhelmed what he had just attempted.

Celestia set Jack down. "Are you hurt? If you are how badly?" She asked examining him. "Your coat... It's covered in blood..." She told him even though Jack was aware.

Fluttershy got off Celestia's back. "There's more wounds than just physical ones..." Fluttershy looked Jack calmly in the eyes, smiling brightly, and told him gently "Don't worry, We'll make it. You want to see Luna again, right?" She was hoping to inspire him to keep going as he would for her.

"I do want to see her again, I really do. This place is just starting to get to me. I already have mental scars from my previous imprisonment, it might seem a little subtle now but my instincts have become a little broken regarding these things, apparently, some of those energies from the demon realm are still in my psyche after those 3 years, and to my great sadness, these scars are permanent."

"At the moment i have a pretty sore body, and i am covered in my enemies blood, tough it is not to severe, i am not really a fighter, and that moment back there was purely my instincts kicking in, wich did cause me to almost die from my own stupidity. And if i am going to be honest, i don't enjoy, i don't enjoy any minute of this fighting, it is making me sick.." Jack said with a sigh as he laid down the floor for a second.

After that little bit Celestia carried Jack and Fluttershy a good ways before, Ember and Festus came over to them. When they did Celestia set the two of them down again 

"Celestia I need to speak with you." Ember said as she approached Celestia and walked over near a door "See out there..." She said opening it slightly. "There are too many guards in there we can't keep going this way we'd need a miracle to kill all of those guards."

"I agree with you." Celestia said, "But it's this the only way forward?"

Ember cursed under her breath. "Yes, it is... I guess we need to think of a strategy."

Festus walked over to Jack and handed him a rifle. "I mean you don't have to take it. I know this is hard on you, I'm pretty scared too I know that the princesses will protect us though, at least as long they can."

Fluttershy smiled at Festus. "I... Don't think we properly met."

"We haven't to say, this isn't really the place either," Festus said a bit coldly. "Sorry that's really rude. But it can wait for now."

Jack thanked him as he gripped the weapon in his hands.

"I just wish we weren't stuck in this place, it is really getting to me, i can hear voices in my head already, wich is a sign of how crazy i have become. But perhaps i also feel ashamed that soon i might end panicking to the extreme and you guys would have to drag me everywhere because of my weakness." Jack said as he hang his head with shame.

"I know how you feel." Festus said "Before I started training with Ember I was constantly saved by other dragons. I kinda used that feeling to push myself to get to this point, Normally dragons have their wings by my age but... Mine just haven't grown in fully yet but I'm not letting it stop me. Don't worry we will make it out of here as long as you promise me something. Do your best, we need our best hoof forward here and we'll need as much strength as we can muster."
 

Fluttershy nodded. "I... I'll try to help as well. I'm not the strongest but if you all can make it out then I'll risk everything... I don't know if there's anything for me to go back to anyway, who knows what those monsters have done to Discord and Woody." She sighed, hollowed inside. "I mean we don't even know how long we've been here. But at least it all won't be in vain."

"Do not worry, I have this same promise long ago, and I shall not break it." Jack said as he stood up.

"But Ember is right here, we can only attack from 1 side, and a head on attack will end up with one of us dying for sure. Though to be honest i can't think of anything, I admit that I am rather creative with some of my plans, but this time i know of anything that could lead us through there without getting casualties." Jack admitted.

He then looked at Fluttershy, with a sad look.

"Fluttershy, you should not do that, what do you think Woody and Discord would think when they find out you are dead? They are going to be attempting the same thing, thinking everything is in vain. It is true that i actually tried it, multiple times... But i did it on a basis of having nothing to lose. But you still have so much, why throw away all that you build up in your life?"

Ember smiled. "I got an Idea, we wait for a new entrance! You said that they'll blow open the walls so we just move away from the door and wait for that to happen. We do have no other choice here."

Celestia agreed "If they don't do it we'll have to find ways to but I think I can do it with my magic. Jack's right though if we go through there someones gonna die..."

Festus stared following Ember as she walked away from the door. Fluttershy moved closer to Jack. "I mean I know they'd hate to find out I was, gone, but I'd rather not find out what happened to them while I was here. Those monsters back in Equestria... They took Maple so why wouldn't they take the rest of my family..."

Jack nodded at Ember's idea.

"Good idea, we will just have to draw them out it seems."

 

He, however, looked a bit down when he heard Fluttershy's answer.

"They will take your family regardless, but if you stay alive you could still make that change where it won't happen. But should you die? Then your family being taken will be a 100% guarantee, which is why sacrificing yourself is not going to help anybody, a sacrifice is only going to suffice if you truly have nothing left, and you still have alot left. My own sacrifices where for reasons that none would understand, and perhaps it is better if it stays that way." Jack said those last words with a frown.

Celestia was speaking with Ember a bit more "I could try to recreate Woodland's time stopping spell, But with out him physically here it would be hard to learn out of nowhere..."

Fluttershy heard Jack's words and started to wipe away the tears that had started to come up "I... I guess you're right. I need to hope they're ok, rather than just thinking they aren't, I mean, Woody may have little control over his powers but if Discord found out... Equestria wouldn't be the same after a rampage like that."

Maple was still staring down the Sorcerer waiting for him to give up when a chain wrapped around her torso. She ignored it at first but then an electric current hit the chain, shocking the electronic parts of her body forcing the body into shutdown. Scarlet Vendetta, a red colored unicorn with a black mane and tail, walked over to Maple and looked at the sorcerer, "My commander sends his regards." She said picking up Maple's body with her magic.

Jack clenched his fist as a sudden feeling was building up in him.

"Everyone is making it sound like Equestria is the only place worth it saving, while the rest seems like it is not even worth saving in the slightest. And I have shown most of you plenty of sympathies, even personal advice that I would normally never share. But when I talk about my own past? The subject is quickly trying to be changed like I am not even there. But guess what? The ones I used to hold dear would not act so self-centered towards just one place. They would sympathize with EVERYONE. But what I have heard since I came to Equestria? It was nothing but Equestria Equestria Equestria, but not even the slightest mention of others, who are having it twice as bad as you are all having. The only thing I had heard about it was when Woody called my race a bunch of barbarians." Jack said in a cold tone

"That is what has been bothering me for a very long time, and if this is how it is going to remain, then i know where my choice will be." Jack said as he walked away from her.

Fluttershy jumped hearing all the so suddenly and walked over to him. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't even know of the happenings on other planets, please I'm sorry." She said bowing before him in a sign of forgiveness "I haven't been involved in most of this."

Celestia heard all of it too. "To be fair Jack, You don't nessisarily like talking about your past as seen by your recent behavior to this place, I know that you are saying we only care about our home, but both Woodland and Maple have offered numerous times to travel with you to go save other planets and they besides me and my sister are the only ones that truly understand the concept of what you've been saying, each time they wanted to help other planets, you prioritized Equestria. So do forgive us if it seems we have priorities here." There was a hint of disappointment in her tone at the end of her sentence.

Festus went over to Jack too, "Well I mean Fluttershy has an excuse here, she had no idea what else was going on and neither did I but know I'm going to help you with others once we get the others home..."

"It is not entirely the reason why I said certain things, Celestia. My reason for prioritizing Equestria first is because you are perhaps the last living planet that is able to maintain a proper way of life, and still, as a way to recruit. But to be truthful here, my plan to help the others planets out in the war had been nothing but an over realized dream, in reality, it was just another poor excuse so I could be killed because it is no secret that my race is on the verge of extinction, and while I want them to live, if this is truly the case, then I cannot live on knowing all of my people died because nobody bothered to help them back. And should Maple and Woody have gone with me, they both would have died as well, because sending a few strong individuals is not going to turn the tides of war, no matter how strong someone is, which is why I didn't want them to go in the first place."

"Which is why I want to know this, will Equestria take up its arms and send its armies to combine forces with others in order to at least give our people some sort of future? Or will Equestria sit back and rather focus on its own defenses for this entire war? I would like to know the direct answer from you Celestia, no interruptions or try to change the subject, I would like the answer now, because then at least I can think ahead of what needs to be done, but whatever choice will be made between these 2, know that I won't be judging any of you, regardless if Equestria decides to sit back, I just need to know this." Jack said.

"Look i am sorry for my outburst, but i need to know this, if this thought keeps up any longer i am starting to lose my will to even bother fighting, and perhaps never show my face to anyone again..."

"Oh course we'll be helping." Celestia said "A monster like that if left unchecked will simply grow more and more powerful eventually leaving only us if we were to sit back so defeat would be inevitable. I... know why you think I wouldn't see that I was so blind to the future I didn't start training until after this had all started happening. People need help and that's the bottom line, while we are concerned with our troubles at home more so than others that are else where because we lived there and grew up with others, our homeland is really important to us." Celestia said calmly "This is the same reason for your concern you want to protect your friends, your kind even. Don't fear though Equestria is with you on this we are not going to watch other races die off."

Jack sighed in relief.

"You don't know how glad I am to hear that, at least one of my biggest worries has been put to rest, now I can finally focus on getting us out of here." he said.

"Say, when we do escape, we are also going to be needing food and water, i hate to say it but without that our escape is going to be pointless if we die due to starvation or hydration. Even i am starting to notice i am getting hungry again, which had become an alien concept to me for long a time, i wonder how i have stopped needing it for so long.."

"So that is one thing, the other one is how we will escape. I think it's too much risk to fight out way through this entire place, but... there might be a massive shortcut. A teleporter."

"That teleporter might not get us off planet, but it can teleport us a very far distance away, wich is alot better then trying to fight our way out of this entire place by ourselves." Jack suggested

Ember flinched hearing that. "And... Where do you suppose that it is then? Because I'm all for it."

Fluttershy agreed too but when Jack had mentioned food her stomach growled, it was as quiet as she normally spoke. "Now that you mention it... I'm getting kinda hungry too." She said "N... Not complaining, of course, I just thought I'd mention."

Festus loaded his shot gun and admired it for a second before nodding to himself. "Well, I like this portal Idea too let's do it."

"Actually, it is not a portal that will appear Festus, that machine will materialise us straight to our desired location, as far as I know how teleporters work." Jack explained to Festus..

"But where that teleporter would be, i don't know for sure, i don't know this place at all, but i can say it would be pretty heavily guarded, since they use those machines to transport things from one place to a other without using the daemon realm." Jack said to Ember.

"Tough i think we are getting close to the place where our stuff should be, as the hallways we have passed showed no indication of other prisoners wich means we must be in a diffren't part of this entire place." he summarised

Celestia had kept walking over to the room with all the other guards in there. She kept looking to see if any of the moved. Then she had heard a voice. "Grr... Stop with this, you ruffians! You know I can't go get you, idiots, reinforcements like this!" There was rattling of a chain and Celestia saw where the ruckus was coming from There was a Bright white colored Earth pony, with a frost blue mane and tail who was chained to the wall by a collar on her neck. Celestia waved Ember over and she walked over to see it.

"These monsters have already been to Equestria? That makes me mad. Jack, Festus get ready we'll need to help that pony out maybe they'll know where the teleporter is." Ember readied the mace. "We do need a plan first..."

"Wait... there is an another pony here? Something is not right here if they would have come to Equestria before you would have already noticed them. No, I think this pony actually left Equestria." Jack said as he readied his rifle.

Jack tought for a moment, until he came with a plan.

"How about I use myself as bait again? That way I can distract while you guys attack them shortly after? That way we can surprise attack them." Jack said.

"Tough i do really hope they won't riddle my body with bullets, that would not be very good." he muttered to himself.

"That's a good idea, Jack, Perhaps to make sure they don't hurt you I can put a thin barrier around you. It will block projectiles but if they attack you with a melee weapon like Ember's then it'll break but we should attack them before that." Celestia assured him before casting the spell on him. "You'll be ok, promise."

Festus readied his gun as well. Fluttershy wasn't really sure how she could help but she was happy that at least they were going to start going again rather than waiting to get found,
