Jack nodded as he dropped his weapon and walked through the hallway straight towards the guards, and a turret which came into the form as a mounted minigun.

When he came close enough, Jack went on his knees and put his hands behind his head.

However, something very bad happened.

"You think we will fall for that again? OPEN FIRE!!" One of the guards shouted as to Jack's horror they started firing at him, the turret's barrel roaring with a high volume as its gatling barrel was rotating from all the bullets it was fire.

Jack yelped as he rolled back and conjured the strongest barrier he muster around himself, hoping this in combination with Celestia's spell would hold long enough.

But due to the increased fire from the turret, both protections were starting to shatter at a very fast rate, not being able to hold against this much firepower.

"Now!!" he shouted, as he was struggling with all he had in order to not get blown apart.

Jack's hand managed to buy Ember enough time to get behind the turret thing, She Smashed it with a heavy downward strike. Stretching a bit after the swing she flew over to one of the guards kicking him into another and those 2 ran into a third all 3 falling atop each other.

Festus ran behind Jack's shield and fired a shotgun blast at the closest guard. "Sorry, that's probably my fault. They were about to kill me last time but some sort of sound saved me."

Celestia was putting all of her focus into keeping up that barrier hoping to keep Jack alive. "Wow, that's... a lot of guns..." She said feeling her energy draining."

"No problem, it was me who that sound in the first place." Jack said as he tried to keep a bit of his own barrier too.

When Ember had disabled the turret and attacked those guards, he saw an opening as the guards were now focused on her.

Jack started sprinting towards the nearest guard in an almost primal state as his vision started turning a bit dark yellow.

He snatched a knife that was in one of the guard's holsters.

He slashed straight through the guard's throat, but when he saw one of them about to fire at Ember, he spun the knife a bit around in his hand, making him hold the sharp part in his fingers.

Jack threw the knife straight towards the guard, the knife instead went straight through its head before he could fire his weapon.

Ember gave Jack a thumbs up. Thanking him for the assistance before going to take out the last of the guards with the help of Festus. After which Festus dropped his shotgun and laid down on the ground. "Can't... Go on like this. Need... a break."

Ember walked over to the pony. "Hey, you alright? Let's get you out of here." She said starting the melt the chain. 

"I'm fine... It's not like I've been here for almost 30 years or anything, I'll get over it, thank goodness you all came, these soldiers seem to not have a basic understanding of how things work." The mare sounded a bit ungrateful until she continued "Seriously though, thank you I hated being here, I'd be really grateful if we could..." The pony saw Jack and froze, mistaking him for the Rukan She screamed in panic.

Maple's systems turned back and she looked around, She wasn't sure where she was at the moment, She tried to move but most of the body's systems were still being stunned.

Treasured walked up to Maple "Goodness, I thought you were dead. I'm not sure if I should be happy about this or upset. I mean it gives me the chance to speak with you but then again you could kill me again." He smiled "Though the odds of that are pretty low."

Forgot something

Jack looked a bit troubled when he saw the reaction of the mare.

"Whats wrong? We have come here to help you, not kill you." Jack said, until he realised why she was screaming.

'Wait... she is screaming because of me, do i really look like a monster this much? I am covered in blood all over and i did just.... oh no.' he tought as he quickly shook his head, making his vision turn normal again.

"W... Wait... I'm sorry for screaming I miss took you as my captor." The mare said. "I've been here for so long and he's not the nicest person in the galaxy... Let's try to get out, for now, formal introductions later."

"Well, It's nice to meet you. Guessing you aren't very good in a fight." Ember said "It's fine perhaps you can at least contr-"

"I can fight!" the mare said, "Just because I'm a mare doesn't mean I can't!"

Ember backed away from the pony as they seemed really volatile.

"So what exactly did you drag me here for?" Maple asked. "To gloat about having out lived me?"

"No to make an offer," he said. "We work together for now and well I don't leave you here to rust."

"That's not really an offer more of a demand." Maple said angrily "An offer means there's a choice here."

"Well, there is. Someone may find you here but the chances are pretty low, Do we have a deal?" Treasured said grinning.

"Then that is a good thing, we need every advantage we can get to get out of this place." Jack said.

he looked around a bit before turning back to the mare.

"If you have been here for so long, do you happen to know if there is one of those teleporters nearby? We are planning on using it for our escape." Jack asked her

"Yea there's one in the next hallway third entrance on the left, it's where those guards wanted me to go for help." The mare answered him "Guess your timing was good then I was just about to do it too." She said sarcastically again.

Ember rolled her eyes at the pony "Whatever let's just keep moving." She picked up her mace and moved for the room that the pony had mentioned.

Maple sighed "I guess I have no choice... What are we doing exactly?"

"Destroying every last conversion center on Equestrian soil," Treasured said. 

"Well that's a good idea but it'll take more than just a false god and a robot to do that." Maple replied.

"Fine!" he snapped back angrily "Do what you must but just rid the land of them." He said walking away. as he did Maple's systems finally unlocked and she could move again.

"Hold on, we will need to get our stuff first." Jack mentioned.

He grabbed the knife and started sprinting through the hallways without even realising what mistake he was making.

Around the corner were standing 2 guards, but Jack had seen one of them slightly move from the corner, which meant he knew they were there.

Jack made a fast rotation around the corner and stabbed the first guard into its leg, making it fall down.

The second guard tried to shoot Jack but before he could, Jack had kicked the barrel to the side, making the bullet not hit its target.

Jack then punched his opponent in the stomach, following as he climbed on its shoulder and stabbed right in its head.

He then saw the room where their stuff where, but it was locked behind a strong metal door.

Jack stared at it, but did not say anything.

Ember and Celestia watched the whole fight unfold and stared at him amazed. "Good job, Jack," Celestia said,

Festus walked over and examined the door "Should I... Shoot the lock or something?"

Ember shook her head and said "No... Bad idea. I'll just pick the lock again." Which she did, after a few minutes there was a *click* and the door opened "There we go. Let's get our stuff then." She walked into the room and looked for her belonging "Steal from a dragon and they'll take it back ten-fold." She said smiling.

Jack nodded, he, however, ended up lost in thoughts as he was thinking about something.

He was staring a bit through the hallways as something was on his mind, but he could not quite say what it exactly was like something was spurring him on.

Festus looked at Jack a tad confused "Something bothering you? You seem lost..."

Celestia and Ember both had gotten not only their gear and the others gear, but they had also looked around and found some different weapons too but they left most it, they only took a few things such as leftover ammo. Unfortunately, there were no provisions in the room, well any that were still consumable at least.

"I am just feeling not very well, one moment i am feeling very drained and the other moment i suddenly feel like i am getting flooded with adrenaline and my instincts just start to go all over the place. It feels like something in the back of my mind is speaking words into my brain, and some parts blindly follow those words. I am not comfortable with the fact that some parts of myself act like they have a tought of their own, i just cannot shake this feeling... Something seems off." Jack said with concern.

"I just don't exactly know what, but it feels familiar."

"It's called instinct. Like how we dragons want to take a lot of shiny objects, you just want revenge for you kind so when you see the enemy you just want to kill them, no matter what it takes." Festus said explaining "I mean I can overcome it so you can too but that thing is you do have to know what's causing it so I'd recommend you focus on that for a bit, Up to you though."

Celestia brought Jack and Festus their belongings. "Ready?"

"But this is something else going Festus, I am well aware of my instincts but something is just not right here. Back when i attacked those guards, my instincts took a massive turn, like i wanted to shred them apart, and this was not a desire, this was like a forced act, not only that but i started from tired to an overdoses of energy in matter of 3 seconds, combined with the fact that the only colour i could was dark yellow during that moment, you know who are the ones who possess those traits? Infected creatures, as far as i know they are the ONLY ones who have this. I know for a fact none of my race have these traits by natural, but it scares me even more that this effect actually went away the moment they were killed like it was forced away by something else."

"Call me crazy, but i have not been experiencing these traits back in Equestria, yet at the same time i have no form of infection since then this *Feral* feeling would have wen't away, but would have rather stayed. I just don't know, but i am not to dismiss these things as coinsidences, there is just no way this is one." Jack said with a sigh.

He then looked at the others.

"Is everyone ready?"

"Yea." The mare the others rescued earlier said. "Can't wait to get out of this place. Let's get moving."

Ember sighed again "Lets hurry and go. When we get out of here I have a few questions for you." She said angrily to the mare. "You've been pretty rude since we saved you show some respect!" She stormed into the portal room, sick of the ponies behavior.

"Geez, she complains..." The pony said in response.

Celestia said and followed ember out of the room

Jack gave a sad look.

'Perhaps I should keep this to myself, with all the tensity going around, it won't help the situation if i am going to be shoving my own problems in the group itself.' Jack tought

'When something does end up happening, i atleast i know i don't have to involve anyone in the matter. I guess i just miss my old friend alot, atleast he wouldn't storm out of the room like that without atleast hearing me out, god i am lonely...' Jack tought as he followed them.

Festus was still worried about Jack but wasn't sure if he should voice that opinion his concern was visible though... Fluttershy felt bad in general just due to everything going on.

But Celestia and Ember were just annoyed with the new pony. "So Jack..." Ember started "How do we use this thing I've never really seen anything like it before..."

Celestia was just looking at all the different buttons confused about it all.

Jack walked around it and looked at the controls.

"Hmmm, well I could try to set in some coordinates, and once it's ready we all step in the middle of that platform. Though it does take a while before it will be ready."

"I could get the teleporter started but it will take some time." Jack said, though there was a hint of sadness in his tone, he tried to hide it.

After 5 minutes, Jack had managed to let the teleporter start its warm up.

"And now we wait until it is ready.  But I just remembered i forgot something back in that room, i will be right back!" Jack said as he ran out of the room, but was heading to an entirely different destination.

Festus ran after Jack. "Hey! Don't go alone! That's not a great Idea!"

Fluttershy ran after them too but she wasn't sure why she did

Celestia and Ember were also about to but they figured that the guards would try to turn off. Ember looked at Celestia "Fluttershy will come get us if they need help... I hope..."

Jack was sprinting through the hallways, he was bound to find something.

'Now I vaguely now, just why did i not think of this before.. This is the only place where i can get those!' Jack thought with dismay as he, however, started slowing a bit to catch his breath.

Fluttershy picked up Jack but kept moving Festus was right beside Jack "So... Where exactly are we going? Might be faster if Fluttershy does all the running having four legs makes it easier after all." Festus laughed "Where are we going or well what are we looking for?"

"We are looking for some sort of inhibitors, which are some sort of injections. I only just realized back there that this is probably the only place that has them."

"Though it was a bit hard for me back there, when I talked about my concerns you were the only one who was remotely listening Festus, and it doesn't help either with all the ongoing tension of that pony we found, which means I am always forced to prioritize these things myself. It just feels bad when you are explaining something but most of the others are not even listening, and it does cause some miscommunication, hence why I sometimes run off because I feel like I need to take up things in my own hands when others don't feel like it."

"I just have been alone for so long that this group has become something new to me again, and i am just not very comfortable when people don't listen to my concerns, because i tend to seek out the source of such problems, but most don't really seem to mind that, its just never easy." Jack admitted.

Fluttershy heard what he said, "Alright where are we going then?"

Festus nodded about the rest he said. "Realization of your own concerns may take some time to set in. I'd imagine a lot is going through Celestia's head with her sister leading the war effort and Ember seems a bit disgruntled about the new pony and how rude they seem to be and Fluttershy here..."

"I'm not sure what I think of anything right now but I know I can help sort-of at least..." She said. "Sorry, I'm not more concerned..." She apologized.

"I suggest we go through the vent system, I hate to say it but I rather not risk us getting into an engagement with those guards at the moment. It should be somewhere close, try to look for any loose panels on the side of the walls." Jack said.

"And while i understand the situation of the group, things will get difficult when we are getting into more tight spots, arguments, and differences can lead to imbalanced teamwork. I have seen these type of things in other groups before and if we wish to survive out here, we need to atleast have someone else take the lead of certain things, while i can come up with ideas regarding information and things, i can only do so much, we really need organized roles if we want to keep things safe." Jack said.
