Jack for a second at Ember.

"Could you please make sure the contents of that package do not get destroyed? They mean the world to me at this point." Jack asked as he was rubbing his head a bit, trying to get that dizzy feeling out of his head.

"Yea I'll make sure of it," Ember said as she walked through the teleporter, not sure what's on the other side of it. Festus following immediately after.

Celestia looked at the teleporter. "Do you wish to go first or shall I?" Celestia asked. "Oh, and is it fine to teleport two of us at once?"

"Might be best if you go first, i will meet up in a bit." Jack said.

"But yes, it is is fine if 2 teleport at once, infact even 5 or more could be teleported at once, considering the strength of this teleporter." Jack said as he tried to sit down.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Alright. I'm trusting this isn't a reckless decision from you Jack, try to hurry ok? I don't know how these things exactly work but I know they're quick. Stay safe." She finished before going through the teleporter leaving Jack alone, which probably wasn't the best choice...

Jack nodded as he watched her through the teleporter.

He waited for a few minutes as he was recollecting his memories.

"Normally I would feel fatigue, perhaps even tired, but now I have all these new feelings back which had become non-existent to me for so long... How does one get through this again? I don't.. remember quite well." He muttered to himself.

He then walked a bit back, before making a running start and dived straight through the teleporter.

 

As he came to the other side he was flown straight into the sand.

He moved a bit around, trying to kneel as he moved the sand out of his face.

As he looked around, he gave a chuckle, not from happiness, but from pure irony.

"Great, this is just great, we are so dead..." He muttered as he face planted himself back into the sand.

Star scoffed at him "Well great! Not like we were dead anyway, I've tried to escape that place so many time that I'm positive he considered executing me I made it this far and we aren't stopping now!" She said starting to walk in a single direction headstrong.

Ember sighed "Welp I'm glad she's gone." She said as she looked around "Which way should we go? I mean I vote opposite of that pony."

Celestia rolled her eyes "We should go with her something tell me that she isn't always this rude." Celestia didn't leave room for discussion as she started heading after the pony.

Jack looked up as removed his face from the sand.

"I hate to say it, but she does have a small point, while some of us can survive rather easily in these environments, most of us are not really capable of being in this desert for so long."

"I know for a fact I am going to die in a couple of hours from either hydration or overheating in my current state. My fate screams out *liability* at this point more than ever, trying to cross this entire desert is going to take 2 weeks or perhaps even more, so what is even the point? I am just going to lay down here, i rather do that then just trying to waste all of my strenght on nothing." Jack said with an hopeless feeling

Celestia picked up Jack with her levitation and looked around seeing a cactus  "Actually there should be some water in these cacti if Twilight's books are correct." She said, "Ember! Could you hack that open please." She set Jack down, sitting up.

Ember didn't give it a second thought she used her knife in order to cut open the cactus she removed the spines from the top of it and filled it with the water from the cactus it was enough for one person but there wasn't any more left. "Here Jack, Drink that, your fur makes it harder for you to survive anyways." She said handing it to him.

"Thanks guys." He said as he drank it up.

"But how are we going to do now? It would take us atleast 2 weeks on foot in order to leave this desert if lucky. I am normally not this negative about the situation, but we landed in the second most unlucky place i could think off." Jack said with desperation.

Star had come back over to the others "I say we rest during the day and move during the night. There's no shelter or anything but it's better than us just walking aimlessly when it's cold your body will retain moisture because you're not sweating, so this is the best idea."

Celestia wanted to agree it sounded like a good idea but she was skeptical. Perhaps if we could find some shade it'd be a better plan but for now, we should keep going." She said starting to walk again.

"It does sound like a good idea, though we also have to keep the cold temperatures during night time in mind. While it is very hot during the day, during the night it is ice cold. I never could understand the reason for that." Jack said as he started to walk to.

"Actually, Celestia, have you thought about using your wings more often? Not in the thing of just flying. in this instance for creating a shadow. I mean, in this instance we need every advantage. If we can't reach certain things, we will have to be creative."

He then looked in the distance.

"Nothing but sand, sand and more sand for countless of miles... This doesn't look good. I guess one of my cooperations could be with restoring magic for others, but other than that, I don't think I can be of much use." Jack admitted.

"Freezing's better than melting," Star said before panicking. "Don't use magic here! They can track stuff like that from you, I saw it pop up somewhere in the base when you fired that blast at the vault. They don't have a trace of Unicorn or alicorn magic though so Celestia should be ok."

"Well, thanks for letting us know Miss Wright." Festus said, "Though an earlier warning would have been welcome." Star rolled her eyes.

"Now, Now... we need to be nice to each other so we'll cooperate better," Celestia said "Let's just find somewhere to rest for now."

"How about that big rock over there in the distance? It does not offer any shadow, but it is better than staying on the sand, that's for sure." Jack said.

He then looked up to the sky.

"Tough i am not sure how late it is, the sun is to bright for me to see the distance scaling of it." he said.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"We'll just sleep until we wake. We need the rest anyway." Festus replied to him "Fluttershy's getting hers already but I think she needed it the most."

"Let's keep moving." Ember said with a sigh "I think I'm tired too."

Celestia nodded as well. "I'd assume that we all had to fight hard to get out of there. It's only natural to be tired after such events."

"Heh, you got that right. I was already exhausted back at that location, but now I am even worse. I guess if i find this all hard then i can only imagine how hard i will be having it at my eventual task." Jack said with a sigh.

"Atleast i am glad we... Have plan.." He said as they where getting eventually close to the rock.

Once the group managed to get up there Celestia set Fluttershy down gently before laying down on the rock herself

Ember and Festus sat down and looked out on the horizon seeing nothing but sand with the occasional other objects. Star had just crashed and forced herself to sleep.

Jack climbed the rock with a bit of difficulty, but eventually climbed on it.

He dropped on the drop.

"How are you guys able to last this long..." Jack said panting heavily.

He, however, did not know what to say.

Jack stared in the distance.

"Our coats aren't too thick unlike your's Jack" Celestia said quickly "and the dragons don't have fur at all they live near a volcano so the heat is nothing to them."

"I wish I was like them. Strong, Durable... Unstoppable..." Star said watching them "Whatever... I'm gonna rest now. See you all at night." She said laying down and resting

"That does make sense. I only hope we can make it trough this desert." Jack said

"I am gonna try and rest for a bit. Not sure if i can really sleep but it doesn't hurt to try." Jack said as he rested his head.

"Do your keep ears open tough, even if we are in a desert, there are still somethimes dangers wandering around." Jack mentioned quickly as he closed his eyes.

Fluttershy woke up as Festus, Jack and Star went to sleep "Wh... What happened?"

"Oh, nothing much Fluttershy!" Celestia said smiling. "You sounded like you were having a bad dream, we may be far from Equestria right now, but we need your help. Wake Ember or myself if you see anything suspicious near here ok?"

Fluttershy nodded weakly.

Jack eventually awoke after about 50 minutes.

"Eh, it's the best I could manage, sleeping on rocks is perhaps not something I am very used to." Jack as he looked around.

He looked up in the sky, it was around evening, but it was becoming night in a few hours.

Jack started popping his neck a bit.

He suddenly got an idea.

"Ember, could you give that package for a moment?" he asked her.

The other members of the group were resting leaving only Jack and Fluttershy awake. Fluttershy had been keeping the package safe while Ember slept "Here you go," she said pushing it gently towards him. "What's inside it? Ember wouldn't tell me."

Jack bit his lip.

'Oh boy... Perhaps not a good idea if I tell her this. Do I even want anyone else to know this? Ember already knows, but the rest doesn't, I think I should just keep it a secret at least for now.' Jack thought.

"Erm, it's a vaccine, of some sort... I found it a while back." Jack said quickly.

Jack opened the package and took one of the DNA samples out of it.

'I have been looking for this thing for quite some time now... And here I am just holding it in my hands... I will not abandon him if it means partly becoming him, and so be it.' Jack thought with a frown.

He injected the DNA straight in his arm from the needle, he then crushed the now empty glass object, as it broke completely.

He then looked at Fluttershy with an empty look.

"Could you please be quiet about this to the others? It is for the best." He asked her in quiet volume.

Fluttershy wasn't 100% convinced but she was going to believe him "Ok... I won't tell anyone but... Vaccine for what exactly?" She asked the question really nervously almost like, Jack was going to attack her just for the question, he could tell because she got really low when she asked

"It's a vaccination for one of those common diseases." Jack said casually, he really did not know what else to come up with.

He tilted his head a bit.

"Why are you suddenly acting so scared of me? It is not like I would suddenly turn against you." He said with a surprised expression, but then he realized it.

"Oh.. right...   Hey, could you keep on guard for the others? Everyone is sleeping at the moment, just call if something comes." Jack said as he climbed off the big rock and walked away for a bit.

He just frowned as he was walking.
