"I know where it is, it was near the place where we got ambushed by some feral beast. I am willing to go there but i can guarantee there one thing, when they notice we are there, it will be swarming with enemies, infected and their military alike, it was like that when we went past that place the first time." Jack said

"So I can safely say it's going to be dangerous, tough i do am familiar with the whole *no man's land* thing, but even being familiar with it never helps against the fact for how dangerous it is in those areas," Jack said.

"I don't care. My brother is there, Please we need to help him, I can take on the army if I must but Woody doesn't deserve to meet a fate such as that." Maple said

"He made a few bad choices but friends help other friends out right?" Evelyne said going a bit into the air "Lead the way Jack I'll go where you *think* I need to go. Maple you stay behind us." 

Maple nodded that she agreed

"Friends always help each other out, William would be first to say so." Jack said with confidence.

'We should fly forward, within I think... 3 hours? In 3 hours you should start to notice ruins of the city, there it should be close.' Jack thought.

"I am ready!" He called out.

"He says we should be there in 3 hours or so!" Evelyn Relayed to Maple, who in return nodded an 'Ok'

Woody had no problem reverse engineering both the shotguns he had picked up, He was working feverishly as he still felt guilty eh finally sinished what he was makeing and put the 'gun systems' into gauntlets which he had also taken these were an amazing fit for his paws however so he didn't care that he took them after putting them on he looked at it and swing a few claw slashes at nothing, Satisfied with the way it fit He started to pack all of the stuff he was messing with up.

While they were flying, Jack was moving a bit in the saddle as he grabbed his artefact and inspected it carefully.

'If only I knew what more secrets Father but in this thing, there must be something more than just storing things? I need to find a breakthrough in this thing.' Jack thought.

As Woody was working, an infected was running wild in the area, it was charging some sort of tiny insects, but when it saw Woody, it charged him at a great speed, all it clearly wanted was to slash Woody apart into pieces.

Woody saw the infect jump at him, He smiled as he swung a punch at one of them, The gauntlet stopped just short of the infected then after a split second, *bang* the gauntlet fired a shotgun shell infused with woody magic not only blowing the creature away but killing it instantly. He quickly slid the back of the mechanism open and put another shell into the gauntlet and fired it again, The kick on the weapon would leave him with a sore shoulder but nothing much worse than that. Woody looked at the gauntlet satisfied with his work "Wow... I can't believe I managed this!" He said looking at them.

"Hey i am going to use the remaining hours to get some sleep, could you guys please wake me up when we are nearly there?" he asked.

Jack rested his head a bit on her neck as he slowly fell asleep, the artefact clutched in his hands

"Alright." Evelyn said "I'll catch you if you fall so don't worry." Evelyn started flying a little more careful "Maple! Tell me about him why has he been so wierd?"

"He's not normally like this. I guess on his way here something happened which distorted his brain he's been way more scared and down lately. I want to help but have no idea how to help him either." Maple said sorrowfully. "He'd need something big to help him like our whole family working together but dad's not even close to this planet."

It was about 2 and a half hours later that Jack woke up from his sleep.

He moved his hand through his face a bit before looking around from above.

"It seems we are almost there."

And after a while when they were flying now above the ruins, he saw something peculiar.

"And would you look at that, that was the same creature who nearly ate me after i was trying to hold back all of its venoms with my magic. And-"

He, however, stopped mid-sentence.

"And some of those tiny scorpion infected are eating from the carcass..."

Maple saw a figure collecting things... Ammo... Lots of it she stopped mid-flight and watched them for a second

Eveylen also noticed them... well after they ran at the tiny creatures and opened fire on them with what appeared to be shotguns. "Who's down there? We've gotta help them!" She said moving quickly.

"It appears to be Woody! Maple, you go down and quickly help defend Woody. Evelyn we should attack them from the air, that way we can also spot enemies from afar!" Jack said as he drew his rifle and started firing from Evelyn's back straight onto those creatures below.

Maple nodded to Jack Moving down to Woody.

Evelyn smiled "So... Shattered ice?" Evelyn said implying a sort of team attack

 

When Maple got close Woody only barely saw her and turned firing his gauntlet thinking it was something else Maple dodged it and attacked several scorpions that were about to sting Woody "Bro this was irresponsible! Do you want to drive our family further apart?" She looked at Woodies wrist curiously

"I said I needed space Maple! Why did... UGH!" He groaned loudly when he also noticed Jack and Evelyn "Leaving him a not was a bad idea. Well, you're here now so you may as well help me cleanse the planet." He also told Jack his plan telepaticly.

Maple stiffened "THAT'S WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO THAT'S CRAZY! It's a whole planet."

"Well if I die who cares right! CErtainly not Karthspire... He only sees us as tools to use in Battle He doesn't even know what he's talking about. He needs to fear Valtrek but he acts like it's something we can simply overcome... I'm telling you this now to kill him someones gonna die and I'd rather it not be any of us." Woody finished his statement with a shotgun blast hitting a scorpion in the slight distance.

Jack nodded with a smile as he aimed his weapon.

When Evelyn froze the scorpion things, Jack started unloading his magazine straight on the frozen enemies, killing most of them.

It was then when he heard Woody's message, that his eyes widened.

"Evelyn, could you keep the ice going for a bit, I need to tell them something." Jack said to her.

'You are seeing it wrong Woody, we all fear him, but we don't do it in the way of showing our emotion. Had we not feared him, we would have tried to attack him with everything, but we all know that is going not going to work, many fear him by fighting our enemies but avoid him at the same time, because we know there is nothing that can destroy him with our current things. If you don't believe me, that is fine, but you need to realise that the pain you are having right now, i had that long before you, 7 entire years, so i know what you are going through, but you need to snap out it!" Jack said.' via telepathy, but it was still partly thinking in his own mind.

Woody smiled "I do believe you, Jack. Every single word. I know you experienced this before me and how did you react? You became a loner... travelling from place to place killing as much infected as you could and saveing as many lives as you wished. I don't know why you don't want me to have the same reaction you had." he said shooting a giant block of Ice he had trapped several scorpions in shattering it easily. These came out a lot better than I thought He told himself

'Because it's not the right thing Woody, back then I was helpless and afraid, I merely mimicked what others taught me to do, not out of free will, I merely-' Jack suddenly got interrupted as he got a splitting headache from to mutter out the last words.

'I merely did what was right, if we don't destroy the golden-eyed creatures, who will? Military command sure as hell won't serve us that luxury.' Those words were spoken through the telepathy that sounded like Jack's voice but was not from Jack's thoughts himself.

Jack felt his head, it was throbbing like crazy.

"Now you're agreeing?" Woody said back to him "I mean to be honest I thought I was going crazy." He fired off another shotgun blast and huge chunk of Ice Evelyn made "But now I think you're crazy."

Maple had her usual spear and was wielding it with her normal grace and strength. SHe cut through a few chunks of ice "Evelyn! Blizzard breaker!"

Evelyn wasn't sure what that meant but she quickly gathered and froze a large chunk of the battlefield. Both Maple and Evelyn flew into the air and came down crashing into the huge chunk of ice shattering it. After that was done there was little left to fight in terms of small scorpions anything bigger would've still been alive.

Jack started firing at the last scorpion until they were all dead.

"We should just get all out of here now and back to the city because now we still have a fast chance. Best we do it now before more appear." Jack said.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

Maple and Evelyn nodded "Alright." Maple said. "Woodland. You're coming back with us even if I have to drag you."

"Alright I will, but when no one wants me around then you'll let me leave. Got it." Woody said firmly. "I've harmed those people... I don't know how but I did... All they want is for me to fight... I don't want to do that... But since that's all I'm all I'm good for it's what I'll do." He swung at Maple but didn't fire the weapon... He couldn't do it. "I wasn't born to be pointed at an enemy... and used... to claim a victory for someone else."

Maple looked at him "Wait what?" She said confused by his words. "Woody, we didn't want you to fi-"

"Yes, you did!" Woody shouted, "You told me to just get over these feelings when you broke the promise to stay safe... Then you told me that me trying to fight valtrek was a good Idea when CLEARLY I was outmatched by him. Please... I just... don't want... to fight anymore..." Woody wasn't sure if he should just leave again or if he should stay and see how much he could make his own sister hate him. All anyone ever seemed was distant and apart from him anyways.

Jack was looking at the situation with sorrow.

He wanted to say something but he was again interrupted in his head.

'Don't, you will make the situation worse if you run your mouth again, let the sister handle this and keep quiet.' Said a voice in his head.

'Hold on-' He kept being interrupted like he couldn't think further.

'They are not interested in your opinion, is it that every time you talk everyone shows a sign of constant questioning in what you tell? LIke if it's legitimate? Don't waste your time on that, just keep to yourself for now and let the others handle this, it is for the best. Because you are looking at yourself in a way with this very situation.'

Woody looked at Jack and his expression worsened "J... Jack... I thought you would say something... Given... You're the only one who understands... I even told you..." Woody turned randomly "Fine! If... IF THAT'S THE CASE THEN..." He said "I'd rather you all not help me in my goal. I'd rather die doing it alone. When you rescue Mom tell her I died trying and that she was the only member of our family that did try to use me as a weapon." He started walking away.

Maple recoiled at his responce "You are not just gonna go fight until you die!"

Woody shoved Maple out of the way "There's only one person I'll listen to. The one who actually knows me... But he's not going to comment becuase he'd hate to upset me. So this is my path I walk. And I walk it alone."

'Oh no... I didn't mean...' Jack thought.

'It stands for Vendetta, the path he is walking is full of Vendetta against the golden eyes, do you now see what I mean Jack? You needed to see it with your own eyes to understand the situation that you have been trying to bring forth for so long. But I can tell you one thing, he is gonna get far.' The voice said.

Jack shook his head.

'I didn't want this happening to him!' He thought back with despair.

'Perhaps you didn't, but what about him? I think he wanted this path for a very long time, you need to understand that we all make choices, let him be and figure out his feelings, how he truly feels about the situation.' The voice said again.

'Tell me, do you feel comfortable about getting blamed, misunderstood or just deemed unimportant? We are going to fix that soon but for now, i am going to keep you quiet, its for the best, trust me.'

Woody waited for another few seconds he then felt betrayed and abandoned "Fine-" 

"Quiet! VOICE!" Evelyn shouted interrupting Woody. "Woodland please forgive Jack but there's something keeping him quiet inside his head. I know because our-"

"Of course there is..." Woody interrupted back "I mean it's not like no one cares about me and hadn't since before this scar came up. I'll give you one more chance jack since you've been through a lot emotionally as have I..." Woody waited he anticipated Jack to say nothing. Something told him that JAck wanted him to do this.

Maple was about to say something but Woody gave her a sign to stay quiet for a second.

Jack did not know what to say at first, but then he finally said "Don't go, Woody, you are going to end up abandoning Fluttershy with this act, she would never forgive herself is she found out what you did to yourself.." Jack spoke out grogerly.

'That was not smart kid, repercussions are going to follow if you keep this.' The voice told him.

"Just... don't go.." Jack said.

Woody quietly tapped into Jacks mind with no evidence that he was listening to his thoughts. Woody was convinced Jack was right Fluttershy would be broken forever just as he felt now if he left but... He needed to know something "While you make a good point Jack if I don't die and I go out there She'd be proud of me for doing something like that. Especially since It saved so many lives... What about that, I know you know I can do it... even though you're concerned about my safety."

"Yes, but she would also be proud if you stayed with us and fight along our sides. I have to tell you the truth about the whole *alone* thing, while it would make Fluttershy proud, it will also drasticly change you, the more you are removed from others the more you became self reliant, and eventually stay away from anyone all togheter, its what happens if you would continue that, i have walked this path for quite a while, it went to a degree where i started to became very wary of others, and din't care if i died. I don't want you to turn into the same person that i turned out to be in the beginning, just please..." Jack, he started to feel heavy pain in his head.

"Guys.. Perhaps we should go back, i am not starting to feel so good..."
