Woody ran up to the creature that was trying to throw Jack off and Maple ran up jumping off him she slashed the creature in the eyes but now she was right in front of the cannon, Which was about to fire.

'Jack! Maple's about to get hit by that things canon and Woody don't even notice... What do I do?' She was panicking a bit 'could you see if Woody can do something? You have telepathy with him right?"

'Ram that thing, tackle it away from her, you need to act fast!' Jack thought to her fast

'Please Evely-' Jack, however, interrupted his own thoughts as he knew it was too late, to his very horror.

In the last bit effort, Jack ran to Maple body slammed her to the side with all the strength he could muster before it would hit her.

But due to the shortage of thinking, Jack was unable to escape that specific shot as the detonation was far too near for him to escape, which caused him to fly straight in the air with burning parts all over his body.

"Jack!" Evelyn said out loud. She flew quickly and caught him "No... This is my fault..." She flew off "Why am I so scared of those things..." She said starting to chill the burning parts of Jacks body. "Y... You said you couldn't die here right? That... That counts for you too?"

Maple flew up to the two backed up by Woody the two weren't gonna let anything come close to them Maple spoke quickly "Woody, healing, Now!"

"Alright, I'll try," Woody said moving closer to Jack and singing his soothing song.

"I hope it counts for me as well, I have never died.... here before....." Jack said, or rather tried to say as he tried to fight the tears that were forming in his eyes.

"Gah... Once again I tried to do what my instincts told me to do, and all it does is put me in such a miserable state." Jack said, for a moment he fainted from the pain that had been still there, the healing not working so well against these wounds at the moment.

"Hey," Woody said "It's ok. You did what you thought was right and I respect you for it. My healing should work... I just need to sing louder!" He said as he did increase the effect of his healing.

Maple had taken one of Woody's gauntlets and shot a few projectiles that were heading to the group.

"Jack... Please... Come on, come back." Evelyn said

Jack was still not waking up, though he did cool down drastically.

'Evelyn, can you hear me?' The voice suddenly called out.

'I am going to tell you how to fix this situation, first, you might tell your friend to stop that healing spell because the magic itself is already in place, but if he goes any further it's becoming too much. Jack's body is all tense because of the ongoing battle, and so his body is putting the magic in a queue where it will only work its all calmed down, don't ask how but that's how it works for us.'

'Now take Jack further away and when you land, spread your wings and use them to cover him completely, but at the same time to hold him against your own body. It's a method that Vermonian parents use to keep their children from harm but keep them calm at the same time. I guess its also a good thing because it will keep Jack's body temperature under control.'

'Keep this up for as long as needed, it might take a while but should you do this, he will calm down and the healing effect will start to work, which will make him wake up alot faster. you had better get started with that now before it becomes too late for him, since he is the only one who can get you guys out of the simulation, and he needs to be awake for that.'

'And you might have forgotten that the armour you are wearing has that refractor field ability? This makes you almost unkillable for its very hard to breach. So you don't have to worry about yourself hurt now either at the moment.'

'Your friend, Woody should meanwhile aid Maple with attacking, they are holding their own pretty well as of now. If you understand, give me a quick nod and get started, you guys can't waste any more time.'

Evelyne Nodded "Woody, Stop. Just trust me and go take out those things alright?"

Woody nodded "Fine. But if he dies... It's not my fault."

Evelyn then landed on the ground and opened her wings activating the field. She also kinda felt like she should do something else but she ad no Idea what.

'Good, but Evelyn.. you are forgetting some steps, *use them to cover him completely, but at the same time to hold him against your own body*, keep a clear head, your focus is starting to waver. But right now not only Jack but the 2 of them are depending on you as well, if Jack doesn't wake up, there will be no way for any of you to leave here. You really need to start getting out of your focus on those 2 and focus your task here, Jack is starting to grow under cold at this point if you don't continue.' The voice said.

After a few seconds, Evelyn was still lost in that thought.

'Focus!!' The voice yelled, like a military commander using discipline on a young soldier, clearly to snap her back to the task at hand.

Evelyn snapped out of it and nodded again, holding Jack against her with her wings. Trying to remain focused and not worrying about the monsters behind her.

Maple and Woody were attacking the most damaged creature the one Maple had blinded. "Maple uses your jets to push all 5 together I've got an idea." Woody used his glyph again to help move quickly. Maple did start moving the creatures together of course it wasn't easy but she was knocking them off balance so it was hard for them to aim

'Good work, now it might take a while before he finally wakes up, but the way we are doing it now it should take about 25 minutes or so, normally it could take 4 hours in such a battered state, and this is not a place where you want to stay without an objective.' The voice said.

'Meanwhile... I will see if I can do something about this mess too, it never hurts to have a plan b should the first attempt fail.' The voice said.

It was then that Jack's body in the real world suddenly started to move, and slowly but surely, someone else took control of it as Jack's eyes started to turn orange and he now suddenly had a diffrent and deeper voice.

As he stood up, he was moving each muscle diffrently, and one point stomped on his own foot to feel if it was all working.

"It works, i don't believe it." he said to himself with a smirk.

He then looked at the artefact, wich was glowing a bright blue while the others were circled around it, in an unconscious state.

'Time to figure out how it works.' he tought as he inspected it.

Celestia heard Jack stop and looked at him. "Jack? Are the others going to wake up soon?" She said noticing none of the others were stirring and Woody hadn't come out of the realm yet.

Maple managed to push all 5 of those creatures together "Alright whatever you're going to do. Best do it now!" She was managing to keep them together.

Woody smiled and emptied his gauntlets all the empty shells hit the ground and he revealed a shell that was glowing red and inserted it into his gauntlet, he had turned the pellets inside into a rocket type projectile he flew over the one in the center and fired the 'rocket' into its cannon. Before backing away.

"Depends, if Jack manages to wake up from his injuries, he can stop the entire simulation. Guess I can't figure out how this thing works.." he answered.

"Oh well, they will be able to handle it themselves better, I might as well enjoy this wandering experience while it last." he said nonchalantly as he slammed the door open and walked outside, giving a smirk as he looked around.

"Feels good to be back."

Celestia stared confused. "I'm sorry?" Celestia said dragging 'Jack' Back inside with levitation "Explain. Now. You aren't Jack... So what did you do with my sister son?" She said looking directly into his eyes with complete seriousness

The chain reaction explosion blew Maple back and Woody too Woody hit Evelyn but bounced off of the magic shielding He was laughing "Wow that worked. Aright was doubting myself there but theres not gonna be much left of them after that!"

"You didn't really think all those things he said about sickness and weird voices were part of him? I have been guiding him indirectly the entire time, though it amazed me to no end how you simply brushed his injection off as a light matter, I have to thank you for that, it brought me so much more time all up to this point." He said with a laugh as his orange eyes were reflecting the light.

"But I guess you want to get straight to point, it's pretty simple, I and he are now 2 consciousness sharing a single body, it has been proven necessary because of everything what I saw from his memories."

"You want to know something funny? You remember that diary you had all found, something that contained information which Jack has been trying to bring up countless of times? Something that you all have been blatantly ignoring? I think I know how to it all went your heads."

"*Oh! We don't need any foreigner information! We are so strong we can take on anything without any form of consequence hohoho!*" He said with a mickey mouse pitch tone, mocking Celestia with a bad but humoured voice imitation.

"And let's recall how it turned out, shall we? One of your sister's captains had become infected after a simple decision in which she was forced to down an enemy leader, with only her brother, no reinforcements, nothing beyond trying to set her out there without even keeping his army in mind. And then the entire situation here, her very mother is now in the hands of a diabolical maniac, you were choosing her mother over Jack who had been shot, and left there hanging because something that was akin to your own race seemed more reasonable to give the attention in your head for some reason. And for the fact that the captain's very brother has been accusing Jack to the point where he was close to giving up all togheter, and how did you all decide to handle it? With nothing! Just thinking that letting it play out was a smart decision, I would believe that if he would blame Jack for the death of his mother should that happen, you all would all just let it slide, like its nothing bad, well guess what? This all could have been avoided if some of you had paid better attention! And not rely on everything that seemed to work for you in the past, i think Twilight Sparkle and her friends have had near death scenarios after you sent them to do your missions. I am able to name this all up in one simple conversation, i bet it hurts when you are on the wrong end for once isn't it?" he said, almost a bit angry.

"Actually it does hurt. But... I'm glad you bring it up. It's defiantly something I needed to hear but I don't know if you looked at all the memories... I started to let Jack lead back in the desert around the time that we found the radio. I had realized at that time I'm not suited to be a leader and that's what I was doing here. Learning. Reflecting on my mistakes adn trying to learn and be better. Changing my whole mindset is not something easy. I didn't exactly want to tell anyone. But since it's being brought up again I might as well. Make sure Jack knows I'm sorry and I'm trying." Celestia sighed and went back to what she was doing. "I guess I just can't make anyone happy except raising the sun and not even that pleases everyone."

"I am at least glad you admit your mistakes instead of trying to defend your words in any way possible." He said as his gaze softened.

"But there is nothing wrong with being able to please everyone, I was not exactly like in my time either, but i did what had to be done regardless of what others would say or think. And i guess there is something you should know why certain things are happening, Jack might have a good and friendly side towards him, but that's all that is left of him, everything else is replaced by a row of things that should or shouldn't be there. To keep it better explained, Jack is barely able to make proper thoughts and decisions on his own, he is not capable of functioning on his own ideas and is forced to be influenced by those around him, without anyone he would start to clutch together a personality that is based on memories from his past. All that exposure from the daemon realm and that curse he used to bare, there is barely anything left of him. In short, story, don't let him get inside the thick of tense drama that he is part off, he is not used to the common emotions that you all still have, and an argument that might sound simple and non-threatening to you, for him, he could end up thinking it is part of his fate to do something very specific and attempt to fight through almost anything. Its the reason why i am here in his body in the first place, trying to make sure he does not go bonkers by all these accusations that been throwing towards him since months. Do me an favor and keep an eye on him, all might be looking very happy and glad at times, but looks can be deceiving, someone let his attention off him for just a few moments and something bad could grow out of it, this is to be expected, its impressive how he still functions after all those tortures and brainwashing sessions." he said.

"I understand completely. Which is why I stopped but that's the thing, Woodland, recently, was partially being controlled by energy from the same realm I believe. So the realm went after Jack still trying to torment him more. Or at least that would be my guess. I will watch out for him, however, Luna too. You have my word on it. I may not know what the realm did to him but I know his mother did it to him." Celestia said quickly "Just tell though... Jack is safe, right? You never answered that..." Her magic started to lift her halberd but she had no Idea why she'd use it. Since it was still his body and all.

"At the moment? Yes, he is both physically and emotionally safe at the moment, I had to intervene a bit to make sure he was going to stay safe. But I can't say moments before that, he nearly got incinerated as he had pushed Maple out of the way from being almost getting blown apart from point-blank range. Because once again a situation was shoved in his face where they were forcing him to decide what should have been done, either he would try to call out to someone but end up being too late, or push Maple out of the way and risk getting himself almost killed, he chose the second option because he did not want Maple to get hit by that. That is what i am talking about, he may be pretty good with tactics and the weaknesses of enemies, but no one should be putting these choices in his own hands because he feels like he will be responsible for if someone dies because of his own wrong choices, and you know what happens to someone who gets these feelings.. Even i know its not a good call to force this down to a 13-year-old boy, who is unstable, to say the least." He said, but he, however, was staring warily at Celestia's halberd but did not make a comment about it.

"Noted. But I have no influence over what's happening in there nor did I have any Idea of what happened in there. Perhaps Jack should have realized he said they couldn't die. He shouldn't have done that but I understand that in the thick of it he forget. I find jack very noble and selfless but perhaps too much so at times..." Celestia said a bit grimly. "Well He's made it this far and I promise he'll make it much further with is now that you've told me about the blame thing. Thank you."

"Instincts go above the logic of thinking sometimes, or with us, that is sometimes the case in very dire situations.  And now in the current subject... Could you be so kind to that get magic off me? It's not exactly fun when I am hanging around like a muppet." He asked her.

Celestia fliched "Right sorry." She put him on the ground "Just don't do anything stupid with his body you're a 'guest' in it and you now share it so you are resposible for keeping him safe."

Evelyn was still holding JAck against her she was crying now "I'm sorry Jack I should have done something. I could have done so much to avoid that I was just... So scared."

"Don't worry, he is in very good hands." He said.

He then left the building and started walking the streets.

'Sorry kid, I still have some errands to run, I hate to risk your body, but I can't really function otherwise at the moment, just hold on tight, i have something special planned for you. As mentor...' He thought with enjoyment.

Something under Evelyn's wings started to shift a bit, Jack awoke again, he looked a confused but other than that he looked alright, except for some spots that burned parts of the fur off.

'W-whats going on? It feels like as if I am laying in a bed, but... Oh.... Evelyn, are you there?' He thought to her, but he couldn't see much beyond Evelyn's wings blocking his sights.

Evelyn smiled "Jack! I'm sorry about that." Evelyn opened her wings setting Jack down "I am really... I should have done something rather than just asking you what to do it's just those things in particular... It's a long story but to me they're the reason you don't see many of our kind..." She said grimly

Woody stood up "Whoa... Sorry to hear about that Evelyn it must be hard when you don't have many of your own kind to talk to." He said that with sincereness but he also had a touch of sarcasm too. Since Woody and Jack both were in a similar situation. "Still I do understand... Bad experience..."

"It's alright, I made a mistake too, I am not going to blame you for being scared. After all, the strain that they are based off is remarkably similar to the creatures that used to be common wildlife around the original homeworld of your kind. This could also have been started by a mixed situation when Valtrek invaded that homeworld 6 years ago it really gave off a big impact. But I guess you have Karthspire and some other individuals to thank for the mass evacuation of the Vernomians before the planet was starting to become unstable, not to mention the lurking doom that was still present on it. Some may call him lazy but he is one of the most iconic examples of bravery when it comes to most, especially the Raukan themselves, only rivalled by Clan Karviah's own actions." Jack said.

Woody stretched a bit "Thankfully they're gone however me and Maple took care of it. If we encounter those during the fight to save our mother then we can handle them so you have nothing to worry about. Thought where is Maple?"

Maple landed, as if on cue, "Right here. Jack's ok I see. Well, I'm not sure who to thank in this situation. Jack thanks for saving me for one, I would have died had you not done that. Thought then I would have just been removed from this reality and been ok but it was still quite something. Thought can I ask something of you? In a real situation... Don't do that." She laughed not taking that comment too serious. "I can handle something like that."
