Jack was sleeping, he was in his dream thinking, nothing else was going on, he was just in a deep train of thought until someone appeared.

"Remain strong friend, even the unlucky ones can still have on this bleak universe."

Jack looked up with surprise.

"Who is the-" he didn't have time to finish his sentence as he screamed his lungs out at what he saw.

There stood Montarion in his original form, he had a brown coat and was a little bigger than Jack, but his appearance itself was just jaw breaking.

Carved runes and symbols were placed all over his body in the form of cuts and scars, the right side of his stomach was constantly changing, sometimes there was an eye of an octopus but in other times there were a bunch of tentacles, it kept changing into different things. His eyes had the same purple glow that he had during his earth pony disguise, but they seemed a bit off...

"I knew others would be frightened by my appearance, but you, after knowing what you  have been through, I would summarise you had gotten used to such unpleasant sights." he said with a chuckle."

"I am sorry but... how can anyone not get frightened by that? You look more mutated than the most messed infected strains I had seen back in the daemon realm." Jack said.

"That is a reasonable thing to think, members of the blood cults are hardly considered *mortals* anymore in comparison to you, but more as embodiments of the Devourer itself, all the normal things you see of our body are just memories of who we used to be, now we are but tools to his never ending hunger."

There was a scream behind Jack it was a feminine voice. Luna had appeared in Jack's dream.

"Forgive me. I don't think I've met you before. And well your appearance scared me when I showed up. Anyways Jack I was told by Maple that more of those opponents have appeared in Equestria. I don't know what she means."

Story conflict

"Hey there Princess Luna, but its far worse then just a few. They are already planning an invasion, they have been constructing beacons all across Equestria and beyond.

But they construction more then just those, i don't exactly know what they are building yet but from what i have seen it wasn't something to be taken lightly."

He sighed.

"But it also doesn't help that the very first of them who came here happened to be my own Mother, i should have known she was going to try and capture me moment i escaped..."

"Do you know where you are? I could send Maple to come help perhaps even a small detachment. We need you here Jack." Luna said.

A guard approached Maple quickly "Captain Maple! There was someone suspicious spotted moving closer to the castle some sort of repeated teleportation."

Maple started to follow them "Alright Show me"

"I am at the Dragonlands, their leader managed to save me, but I am afraid, if I go out in the open, they will go all out on me, considering what they are after in particular." Jack said with worry.

"They will find you regardless." Montarion as he walked over to him.

"That thing in your body has made some rapid progress ever since Karliah injected you, why do you think they want to capture you so badly? They want to bring birth to that thing, but guess who would desire it the most? Valtrek, he has been furious ever since one of his prized *possessions* had escaped his clutched, because what happens when 1 thing becomes incomplete from a circle that needs 6? The 5 stay remain in tormented suffering while the 6th one tries to avoid the end times, because you and i both know what will happen." Montarion said, for the first ever he seemed to give a deep frown.

"Even now that thing could very well hear us, but what it can do right? That is a question even i could not answer, but one thing is certain, you are but a precious tool in front of a power hungry maniac, and that is something you cannot escape from forever, there will come a time where all 6 of you will merge into his being. It is faith, but can faith be rewritten? That is the important question here, because what would happen if I didn't create that wormhole? This planet would have succumbed, you would have died while trying to fight your way through on Cyril, and everyone else out there would perish. But what is to say this still won't happen? Faith can be more deceiving than most think."

"Right. We'll be leaving this dream Maple's on her way. Oh and trust Ember, That's the dragon leader, She'll protect you well." She turned to Montarion "We believe you said 6 combined powers for some sort of beast. We think we may have something it beat it. The elements of harmony! Twilight and her friend should be able to take that thing down less I am underestimating this thing. Still I must go for now goodbye Jack I'll see you soon." Luna dissipated into sparkles as she left the dream. She walked back to the courtyard looking for Maple.

Jack waved her goodbye, Montarion turned back to him.

"Some may be positive about the outcomes, but you know very well what none of us is going get a happy ending in the end. Even if you all manage to protect and liberate this planet from the enemies clutches, then what? They may have increased their race's life span, but you? For you, nothing will change, which is why you will need to think about what you will do should this creature hatch anytime soon."

"In either case, will the creature hatch, it will claim your soul,  but.... should you give yourself a quick end, the results are going to be debatable. While the creature will have no host to gain birth from, it will essentially still drag your soul with it as he goes. But I presume Kiran taught you the ways all didn't he?" Montarion said.

Jack's stomach cramped together at the mentioning of that name.

"Yes, yes he did...."

"Then don't do it for your sake, but for his sake."

"You are right, I promised him i would not allow myself to turn, no matter what the end solution would be. But still... How can i be sure it will work? There might even be other solutions, even if i am not aware of one right now."

"That is up to you, in the end, chose wisely." Montarion said before he faded from the dream.

Jack eventually woke from his dream.

'Why am i always been given these choices? I am just 13 year old, yet everyone i know throws these responsibilities over my shoulders like i am so some sort of... Hero.' he tought to himself with sadness.

Ember and her squad of dragons had made quick work of the machine. She was in th cave Jack was in "Oh. Kid your awake. Need anything? Food, Water? If not then care to explain why you where being kept by that strange person?"

Luna eventually found Maple looking for something in a guard tower. "Maple can you hurry to the dragon lands. Jack seems to be with Ember I'm not sure how he got there."

Maple dropped the Telescope she was using to look for the teleporting thing. "Thanks I'll head that way now bye." She flew off and she flew fast.

Woody had managed to procure a boat to get him and Moonshadow across the large ocean.

Woody glanced at Moonshadow and wispered to him "Hope you changelings don't get to sea sick it's going to be a rough ride."

'its pretty abnormal having to explain to someone that you are unintentionally giving birth to some horrific creature every time... But well here it goes.' he tought.

"It is because i have a curse that is slowly giving birth to a creature inside my body, and well... they are trying to speed up the process, but from what i can summarize, my mother had injected me with something weird, she tends to experiment on her captured targets after all... Its pretty rough to talk about this in such detail." he said.

Ember took a while to process the information. "Well that means one thing. Your valuable to someone and you know what we dragons do with valuables. Come on We're pretty out in the open out here. Let's get closer to that volcano. Hope you can handle the heat."

Maple had worn her self out the problem was by that point she had just gotten over the Sea separating the Dragonlands from equestria She saw a boat in motion and tired to land on it only to crash into the ocean.

Woody thought he saw a pony hit the ocean water when they popped back up again after going under he notified the ships captain who sent a smaller life raft vessel to go get the pony. When they where brought on the boat. Woody laughed. "Well what a circumstance. We need to stop meeting like this."

Maple smiled, She was freezing cold but other than that she was ok. "T... Thanks, I... Totally A...Agree with you."

Moonshadow was happy to see the captain as well but was nervous at the same time. "Say Woody how much longer ya thing?"

Woody thought about it. "Given good weather and waves. Probably another hour."

Maple sighed. "Well I was in a hurry but I can't fly right now. Wings cramp too much."

Jack nodded "At this point, i have felt so many things with intense heat that a volcano doesn't really bother me too much." he said.

The assassin had sneaked all the way into the Canterlot castle, her centuries as an assassin proved this to be child's play for her.

She stood behind the throne room door listening, she had killed the guards standing before the door by cutting their throats with both her arm blades at the same time.

And while she was listening, Blueblood was rambling to Celestia about his usual *demands.*

'Time to put an end to this.' she thought

She opened the door really slightly and threw tear gas straight into the room. All the nobles and guards started cramping up in agony.

The assassin wasted no time as she kicked open the door and started firing tiny beams through her targets by pointing 2 fingers.

She then warped straight forward behind Bluehood, and extended her arm blade, it went straight through his head, but at the same time, she was injecting him with the virus secretly with her other arm.

She threw the dead Blueblood to the ground, as she faced Celestia.

"My my, i had heard rumours about you, but I never thought you would turn out to be an so incompetent leader. Did you really think you could defeat us?

Your puny empire could not even match the lesser races in the galaxy." She taunted.

"But at least I spared you from one abomination." she said as she threw Bluebloods body to Celestia's hooves.

Celestia looked down "I know I was blind. I had let too much be solved for me. I let myself slip. I was no longer fitted to be the ruler of theses lands 5 months ago I realized that so..." The back part of celestia's throne spun around revealing a Halberd Weapon and some special looking armor. She donned the gear and used her magic to pick up the halbered. "So I changed for the betterment of my people prepare to face the reborn leader!"

The assassin grinned.

"Thats quite impressive, but had you paid better attention, you would have known what had been buried beneath your own city all those centuries ago, then perhaps they might have helped you, but your own blindness is what has let you and your race to this weakness."

"But then again... Nothing in this existence will remain to breathe after we are done, so why not enjoy your final moments while you can?"

She said as she pointed 2 fingers towards Celestia's head.

"Perhaps then you will realise how much have died because of your ignorance." she said in a sly tone.

Celestia teleported behind the assassin. delivering a powerful swing with her halberd. The swing was swift and without mercy. "It's time I stepped up and proved to everypony why I am their leader."

The ship that had started near everfree had finally reached the dragonlands. Maple was the first to get off "You two need to follow me! I know where Jack is we need to move quickly."

The 2 nodded and quickly ran to follow her.

The assassin quickly used her warping ability to vanish out of existence before the halberd would cleave her apart.

shewas gone for around 20 seconds before she appeared again, this time 4 copies were around Celestia, all performing a warp punch ability at the same time, her method of using the ability that Celestia was not aware of.

The force of the punches teleported around the 4 corners of Celestia's position.

Celestia couldn't nessiarly tell what was about to happen but she braced herself taking the hits. The punches hurt her but not too badly she shot magical blasts at each of the copies of the assassin. Her horn started glowing a darker color than her magic was normally she was preparing something big.

The assassin reappeared back as the 4 copies were destroyed.

She, however, raised an eyebrow when she saw Celestia gathering some form of magic.

"Oh? Are you going to use a strong spell on me? Might as well not hold anything back, because if that is going to be your limit, i  might as well just leave." She said with a sadistic tone.

"Oh that's the thing, I've been holding back you however seem to be struggling to keep up." Celestia's voice "Plus I also don't think I'm alone as well prepare to face the strenght of the sun!-"

Luna appeared from the entrance to the throne room. "And The moon." Luna grabbed The assassin with her magic tossing her into the air. Followed by a large blast from Celestia's Magic. Luna walked over to Celestia. "You got a lot stronger when'd that happen?"

"A few months ago. I started training in secret." Celestia responded

The assassin had been damaged but had warped away before the dust had cleared, and was now watching them from the corner of the room in her cloaked form.

The damage, however, caused her armour to initiate its combat stimulances, driving her body to increased feats.

She then jumped out of her cloaked form and gave a devastating blow to Luna's jaw, following up by reappearing behind Celestia and holding her neck in a strong chokehold, she used her magic to drastically increase her physical strength with the grip.

"You presume I have trouble keeping up? If you are so full of yourself, then I will show you what I can do." The assassin said in a cold tone as she started applying more pressure.

Celestia wasn't sure how to respond to a choke hold. She struggled to fight against the hold.

"Don't worry sister I've got you." Luna said firing a blast at the assassin. Sorry sister but I couldn't think of anything else She thought.

The assassin moved her weight to right in such a way so the blast would miss her, but only by a few inches.

She let one of her arms from the grip, a tiny needle extended from her left hand, and she quickly took a dna sample from Celestia, this however did loosen her grip a bit.

When the assassin moved and loosed her grip it gave Celestia enough room to drive her halberds shaft in between them Forcing the assassin off her "I won't lose. No anymore." She said.

"Sister don't push yourself too hard! You are needed more than you think." Luna said noticing the tiny needle. She started charging a spell something to get rid of this thorn in their side.

"That is what everyone says, but in the end, they all did not last long, your nephew can confirm that for us." she said with a smirk.

When the battle was transpiring, the infected corpse of Blueblood gave off movement, and eventually shot up and jumped at Celestia like a wild animal, with that familiar golden glow in its eyes.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

The assassin wasted no time as it jumped at Luna with both her arm blades extended from their mechanism's.

Celestia blocked the strike with her weapon. "Blueblood?! I thought you died! What's the matter with you?" She was easily holding him back since her magic was holding the weapon. "Please come back."

Luna lept into the air narrowly avoiding the arm blades. She started flying concentrating on her spell.

Maple ,Moonshadow ,and Woody had eventually made it to where Ember and Jack where.

Maple flew up close to her holding her hoof out. "Princess Ember long time no fight!"

Ember bumped her her hoof "It has been some time. I've gotten a lot better since last time you?"

Maple shrugged "Life's been busy in between actual duties and thing I have to help mom or dad with." She turned looking a Jack. "It's wonderful that your safe." She hugged him. "S... Sorry that was awkward."

"He is one of us now Celestia, isn't it wonderful? Soon everyone here is part of our little coven, free of incompetent rulers, and most all, no more Resistance." THe assassin said with a grin.

She suddenly looked up to see Luna preparing something from the air.

The assassin threw a smoke bomb on the ground, during the smoke, she injected 2 of the dead guards with virus and then threw their bodies straight out of the window, they landed straight into the crowd of the Canterlot population.

Jack was a little surprised by her reaction.

"I am glad you are safe too. I would have been killed if weren't for the intervention of Ember." Jack said.

"Though I have to say things have become dire, luna contacted me in one of my dreams that I needed to come to Canterlot. But that won't be easy, i overhead that.. Assassin talking to someone over a communicator, she has been operating for someone this entire time, giving a head start for the invasion. The chance is big that some of their forces are going to hunt us down." he said.
