Jack held his right hand on his wound in order to stop the bleeding.

"Luna, Maple is somewhere in the bushes unconscious, but we have to leave soon, they will be sending wave after wave towards us! After those drones are defeated we will have an opening, but we need to be fast, time of essence!" he said towards her.

Luna nodded to Jack and fired more blasts at the drones destroying both of them. "Maple's unconscious? What happened before I got here?" She looked around then at the drones she just destroyed. "Let's... Get out of here first."

"Do you think you could teleport us to Canterlot or at least somewhere really close? They have been tracking us all the way since we left the Dragonlands, if we teleport away, we might have to a chance that they won't be able to follow us." Jack suggested

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"Oh that would be easier. We shall do that but Maple must be close so stay near me." She walked over to the bush where Maple was hidden and warped the trio to canterlot Right next to Celestia.

Celestia jumped "Oh thats where you went. I didn't see you around the castle and thought you got lost."

"We'll take that as a compliment." Luna said

Jack collapsed to his knees

"I can't believe it, we made it, we made it, we made it..." he muttered to himself.

'I would have expected i would have gotten used to the constant danger after all these years, but it seems i can never stop being frightened when seeing those golden eyes, it wakes up these old memories those... urgh, i rather not even think about it.' he thought to himself.

Maple recovered when they arrived and stood up but it still hurt. "We're ok. For now at least."

Luna looked at the injery that Maple had taken and flinched. "Who did that to you?"

Maple looked at the wound again. "Their name's Treasured Crystal. He hates you and Celestia he won't stop until he takes you both down and takes control of equestria for himself. He thinks what he is doing is justified but it's just wrong..."

Luna tilted her head. "Well how did he do that to you?"

Maple opened her wings which seemed to be ok now. "He's a unicorn with metal wings he stabbed me with one after knocking me off guard... He's strong Luna... Way stronger than me."

"Not only that, but turns out him and someone named Chrysalis is working together, both tried to kidnap me at some point, but they eventually fled off.." Jack said.

he sighed.

"This entire situation is just so messed up, all it took was a crash landing for me here and it managed to spark an all out war, but perhaps a war that we might not be able to win."

he said within short breaths.

"But stil-..Still,  there is the possibility we will live tr-..trough this..."

"If w-we...we play our cards right, there is the possibility of victory... We stand together stronger after all..."

He felt that feeling in the back of his head again, but he tried to ignore it once again.

"It's a war that I intend to win." Celestia said. "I've been training secretly since this enemy got mentioned and now I realize that Chrysalis cannot be saved."

"Well 'Tia." Maple said butting in. "This is for more than just equestria but the whole universe. We can't fail anymore."

"We can do it I know we can!" Luna said happily.

Maple smiled "You're right Luna positivity is the first step to victory."

"Oh that reminds me! Jack your armor is ready." Luna lead the way into another room which there was some armor on a specially made stand. It was Golden-colored with Dark purple highlights. "The smith says it as strong as it can get without using heavy crystals." The armor its self was remarkably light given it's strength. "There's also I sword too if you want it."

"Thanks." he said with a smile.

His smile, however, faded as suddenly something was putting a strong amount of strain on his head, and an abnormal voice was booming in his own ears.

"If you could see what I have seen. If you knew what was coming. You would do anything in your power to reach the other side!"

Jack clutched his head with his right arm. "Excuse me for a second." he said to Luna as he sprinted through the hallways.

When he arrived at one of the bathrooms, he closed the door and looked up in the mirror.

But to his horror, his vision was starting to blur a bit, and for some reason, he was no longer able to see any colours, only grey.

The mark on his arm started to expand, almost like a jaw that was opening.

Jack could feel his muscles were starting to shake, which ended up in an uncontrollable trembling.

"Argh, stop it!!" he yelled.

He fell to the floor, he was still trembling like crazy as he had lost control of muscles.

"Graaahh!! DAMN YOU!!" he screamed as he tried to resist.

Maple, Celestia and Luna where all completely unaware of what was happening.

Maple and 'Tia had agreed to train together so Maple could push herself to where she could beat Treasured saying "He won't train he sees himself as peerless now not knowing I'm alive.". And Celestia benefited from the training as well

Luna had decided to wait where she was for Jack to return.

Jack tried to resist the ongoing effects, but eventually, it was for nought.

He laid there for almost an hour, but the reason for what was happening was much darker than what appeared.

The thing was trying to mutate his body slowly, but had trouble doing so with its still weakened powers in the living realm, which made the process a lot slower.

Eventually the hallways where filled with an red fog, the fog itself was not harmful except that is considerably hot.

Luna saw the red fog and followed it finding Jack to be the source of it. She wasn't sure how to react to the problem she decided to supress Jacks magic to see what happens after that since the fog seemed to be magic in nature. "Sorry if that was a bad idea." She said apologeticly.

Jack had a look of horror on his face.

 

"What do I do?!" Jack screamed with tears in his eyes.

 

The thing in his body, however, had no intention of letting this one slide, the atmosphere in the room became hot as the thing was trying to push back Luna's spell by using its physic powers. In the living realm his powers would still not be that big as of yet, but in Jack's body, it was in a sense his domain, and he was putting an abnormal amount of force in pushing the spell back.

 

"You would be wise not to interrupt my forthcoming Fleshbag." the thing said in Luna's head via some sort of telepathy

Luna focused all her magic into stopping whatever this 'thing' was "Don't dare call me an fleshbag when you don't even have your own body weak fool." She intensified her magic blocking off this thing from entering her mind again. She worked on condencing the energy around Jack forcing it back into his body so she could seal it there.

The thing was getting pushed, not only because of Luna's magic strength, but because the thing was not even fully born yet, meaning it was far from capable of its full power.

Suffice to say, it had never encountered anything before that could actually slow its process down.

It eventually gave up and forced itself back into the depths of Jack's body.

After the thing went inside Jacks body she put a seal on his arm by the mark. "There that should keep it stable but I don't know for how long. As long as it's there it's power should be suppressed." Luna worried if it would hold. It's all she could do.

"Thanks Luna, i really owe you."

"It has been getting more stronger activate as time progresses, during my fight with Chrysalis it actually started attacking her with some sort of telekinesis. But what worries me is that perhaps this is the thing that our enemies are after. Because if this thing was to be born, it would not only be extremely powerful, but it also will have the ability to take over the entire physic hive link on this planet, if that happens, we can no longer hope to win, it's one of their well-known strategies to turn a losing battle straight into their favour."

"That concerns me but theres a lot I need to worry about right now that seal should work for now." Luna said worried "In the mean time perhaps you could tell us a bit more about who we are facing? I need to know more about these mutants."

Well, those infected creatures are like their hounds and conscripts, they pair them in entire hordes in order to break through any defence, no matter how much they have to send it in.

But their real soldiers, they come from conversion centres, poor innocents who have been infected but modified and mutated beyond measure. Sometimes they are made as semi sentient soldiers, having enough sentience to use a weapon for example. But then they are these other strains, many variants, from 4 legged Raptors to massive 12-foot tall monsters armed to the teeth, they have it all. But the thing is that they need bodies in able to create them, the stronger and bigger ones sometimes made from multiple bodies at the same time."

 

"But the perhaps the terrifying aspect is how they operate, in heavy defended worlds they would launch all out assaults. But on planets like these, they just start out simple, attacking in small groups, but those are just diversion tactics, in reality they are construction massive, fortifications and conversion centers all over, and how fast they build these things is something I cannot explain, able to fortify an entire border with anti aircraft guns and turrets all in just a span of 2 weeks..."

"First you start hearing small towns just flat out disappearing, but then entire cities just start to vanish, becoming ghost towns, i am not sure how they even do that, but my guess is they use some sort of bomb, or, creature? Its really hard to say.."

"We all know who is behind this entire invasion, but just not who is leading it right now.."

"Noted I'll send teams to seek out these centers and destroy them and only the most loyal to me and my sister. Let's hope that works." She said heading to the barraks "You think that will help or will it not work at all.

Maple and Celestia where toe to toe in the throne room where they where training. "You've gotten better 'Tia. I'm impressed."

"Thank you. Secret training does wonders for one's own skill." Celestia said swinging at her

Treasured Crystal looked at Equestria from the top of a mountain. "All of this will soon be mine as soon as l purge these lands of the horrid Alicorns." He laughed.

"That just won't be so simple Princess, we are not talking in just simple structures, but entire facilities big, and because they have massive defences. Performing an all out attack on those centres is possible, but your men will be almost slaughtered to death before they can get inside. The enemy tends to make use of mechanised vehicles and mech's in order to defend their key location from ground forces."

"There are ways to enter those center's but additional means, tough you would need to find a secret that would lead into the center itself, but even then, those centers heavily guarded, and protected by their most strongest soldiers, you would get massive losses on your side, so its really hard to say."

Luna flinched "Are... are they going to attack us with these weapons? I fear our strength my not be enough if that's the case."

Celestia had almost knocked Maple off-guard bus before she could Maple jumped on top of her back poking her with the wooden spear she was using. "I win."

"Well fought Maple. Rematch?" She asked her.

Maple shook her head. "I've got other things I need to take care of."

Treasured looked down at ponyville from where he was he saw them all there Fluttershy, Twilight, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, AppleJack, and Pinkie Pie each with their respective element. He smiled evilly "My campaign is at its close all that's left is the 'elements of harmony' " He said mocking the name "Then pay the alicorns a 'Friendly' Visit." He laughed taking off down towards ponyville.

"Yes, they might, we gotta keep in mind that we are talking about planetary scale of warfare here, their numbers are massive, but that doesn't mean that we will lose, we might be outnumbered, but if we exploit their weaknesses, we can gain the advantage, many members of my race are in such a bad situation, yet they managed to still fight on regardless."

"What we would need are experienced soldiers, strong magic users and most of all, having the right knowledge."

"I have been thinking and we should set up a special unit that is tasked in infiltrating those conversion centers and being able to operate behind enemy lines, because if we do this, we will have alot more chance of winning, i could teach them a thing or to regarding our enemies secrets." he said

"Very well I will Get some ponys together for the operations though not many may be willing to do that..." She worried.

Treasured walked over to the group of 6 ponies. "Ah hello there! You must be the amazing Elements of harmony. Why haven't you run. Most of this town evacuated."

Twilight looked at him unfamiliar with him, "Oh hello. I could ask you the same question...

Pinkie happily greeted him "Hiya I'm Pinkie Pie! What's your name you must really know your history if you know about these old things. We had to go get them out of the tree of harmony to use them." She giggled.

Treasured looked at pinkie "Well My name is Treasured Crystal It really is an honor to meet you few."

Fluttershy looked at him suspiciously "I've heard that name before but I don't know where from..."

"They might not have been willing, but after what happened to Ponyville, I wouldn't doubt that many were shocked by the horror that is threatening is us, and regardless, even in all those numbers there will always be some that would, because if we don't do this, they won't be having anything left to defend, it will all be gone..."

"There used to be a time where none were aware of the coming treath, they where all living their lives ignoring the coming storm, and you know what happenend to them? They died, got murdered, converted... And now all that remains is a race that has become a former shadow of itself, its once glory and pride been reduced by the action of a single person. That is not the fate i want to wish for Equestria too."
