The figure quickly dodged her attack, and pistol whipped her at the back of her head.

He then pointed the revolver at Fluttershy while he kept her on the ground by giving alot of pressure on her back from his foot.

The figure was about to talk again until he quickly changed his mind, seeing what was going in the hallway.

He quick a mention to the guards with the indication of *kill them* as he left the rooms from one of the other doors.

The Sorcerer was in pain, but when he saw what Maple was doing, he made no indication of releasing them, as he that should Maple eventually happen to kill him, the ponies would die too, which made him still do nothing.

Fluttershy whimpered in pain silently as the figure put pressure on her back. She didn't move when they let off her except in shivers of fear The weapon she had been using had rolled a good distance from her as well so things didn't look good until a golden light enveloped her and Jack shielding the two.

Celestia had eventually been freed as well and quickly went to make sure Fluttershy was ok, arriving in time to see the enemy guards aiming at her and Jack, Celestia put a barrier up from a distance covering both of them in a strong magical outer coating.

Ember had managed to kill the guards she had been against after the smoke cleared.and she could see what she was shooting at. After which she went to make sure Festus was ok after freeing him too they both went after Celestia.

Once there Celestia motioned for them to wait, she wanted to see what Fluttershy was going to do now that she wasn't hurt by the bullets. She communicated with Jack telepathically "Make her mad... I want to see something." She said to him in complete seriousness.

Maple stopped "I'm not kidding here I'll let you leave and keep your life if you release them..." She removed her claws from the sorcerer's chest but kept a hoof on it. "I can be reasonable here if you can be too."

Jack still pain from the bleeding wound, but he was showing much of resistance against it anymore.

"Make her mad? I don't even know how, let alone the fact that I am bleeding out. It would be better if you asked someone else do to do this because I am not particularly good at this thing." Jack said back via the telepathy.

"Your request has been denied." The Sorcerer said with a flat tone, but there was a hint of a giggle in his tone.

He was playing her because he knew what was going to happen eventually.

"If anyone else goes in there, Fluttershy's going to give up tr-" She was interrupted when Ember's voice came through the telepathy

"Just remind her of what they did to her family and the forest," Ember said "Tell her what could happen if she doesn't do anything about it. She's losing a lot of spirit Jack if she goes home in the state she's in she'll never be the same, She needs to take action this time if she wants to be the same Fluttershy as she always has been." Ember knew the hear of battle such as this was a lot for her so she could only imagine how Fluttershy felt right now. She was lost in thought until she got hit the face by Festus, who also slapped Celestia. 

"You're kidding, right?" He said angered "Jack got shot in the chest and we're fine with just letting him bleed out so you can see if Fluttershy is a good fighter! No screw it I'm going in there to help him." He dashed in and quickly went over to Jack "This is going to hurt for a second but you'll be ok afterwards." He said nervously he couldn't tell if he was going to be ok or not, Festus breathed a small fire onto Jacks wound the intense heat sealed the wound quickly. "I... It worked!"

Maple put a lot of pressure on the Sorcerer's wound causing it to stop bleeding and it would start again after a bit but Maple called a doctor over to be ready in case he did actually let the others go "I don't age in this body. We'll be here forever if that's what it takes but I'm not killing innocent ponies." She said sternly"

Jack grunted a bit from the heat of the fire, but then opened his eyes again, and looked at surprise with the result.

"You sealed it, I really owe you, man. To be honest, I thought I was done for this time, it does frighten me a bit that this could become a reoccurring theme, I am known for getting into very deep dangers like it follows me everywhere and I am forced to take it head on." Jack said.

He then went back to the telepathy.

"Fluttershy, you need to get yourself together, those very monsters we are fighting are going to destroy everything, and we-." Jack, however, trailed off at his words.

"Sorry guys, but i just cannot do this, i don't even know what to say, you are asking me tell her something that i have been suffering from my whole life, i do not want to delve into this subject so deep myself again..."

"Then don't." Celestia said to him personally as she stepped in "Festus made me realize that this was a bad idea. I am a princess I shouldn't leave my subjects to fight battles that I can win."

Ember stepped in the room too ready to help Celestia "I took down about 8 of you guys. I'll let you run." She said intimidatingly.

 

Festus looked at Jack "Ember's right a lot of the time if Fluttershy does have something good come out of this she'll be traumatized for the rest of her life... I think Discord made her not age as well... so forever I guess. We need to do something for her sake." He suggested

Jack nodded.

"You guys are right, but trying to get her angry is not the best course either, i have seen what it can do before hand. To much rage and anger can cause someone too be consumed by a lifetime of Vendetta and personal grudges. She may be resistant to be it now, but the battles will be fighting ahead, to much and she could eventually snap from all the bloodshed and ongoing deaths that could occur. I knew someone who took anger and vengeance as a salutation to all his problems ahead, but it caused him to change drastically to a point where he suffered a death where none wanted to remember him, i don't want Fluttershy to end up the same.." Jack said with grief.

"If someone could cut these chains down, then we could come up with something," Jack said.

Most of the guards had retreated back in order to go a more defensible position, the last one joined them.

Festus Melted both the chains holding Jack up "We don't have anything sharp so we can't cut them off yet. Where do you think they'd be keeping our gear?" He asked wanting his big shield back, mostly for the bullets.

After a lot of practice and instruction, Woody held his paw forth extending his claws they started glowing an odd green. He took a deep breath and tore open a hole into the Demon Realm. woody only had a second to look at it before Windphaser went through it dragging Woody with him and the portal closing behind them.

Jack landed on his feet as the things holding him to the wall came loose.

"It is hard to say where they will be keeping our stuff, we might have to venture a bit through where ever we are, my first imprisonment was not here so I have no idea where we are supposed to go." Jack admitted.

"Tough i can't really say how well defended this place is, but you can probably guess that this is going to be incredibly dangerous."

Festus looked around and saw the mace Fluttershy was using earlier he tried to lift it but he wasn't able to. Crap He thought "Ember, There's a weapon you can use here."

After a quick examination of it, Ember decided to use it. "Jack you can use this." She said tossing him the rifle she had. "Festus keep Fluttershy safe until we get our stuff, Celestia use your magic. It's not gonna be easy but we can do it." She said nodding.

Jack nodded as well.

"Ember is especially right regarding it is not gonna easy, considering how their guards where, this is not your ordinary conversion center type of defense, but a full fledged army one, their equip said it all. Which means they will have probably set up turrets and even perhaps booby traps by now, which means we shouldn't rush but take our time. And from who i just saw, i suspect we are no longer anywhere near Equestria."

"Now we just need a plan regarding their defenses, I could summarise from their current engagements on us, armed soldiers, placeable turrets, and perhaps they might go so far as to incapacitate us with tear gas, who knows, they were wearing gas mask after."

"As far as i know I would even stand much of a chance against an entire group of them, let alone 4 soldiers at once, they would just kill me in seconds since they are far more intelligent and more tactical than the average infected, which means I am already going to be at risk again." Jack said with a sigh.

"Well if they're gonna fight harder then we should do so too!" Celestia added, "Jack I especially need you to stay safe, you're the only one of all of us that knows how to fly a space ship meaning there's no point in going on without you." She had said this as the realization had hit her. "So don't worry about it we'll protect you with everything we have."

Ember nodded agreement "It would be best, Jack, if you handed the rifle to Festus and you stayed with Fluttershy keeping her calm until we get out of here. Sound like a plan?"

"Alright, just be careful, and it might be best if one of you doesn't stay too far away from this room though, I wouldn't be surprised if they would start breaching from by blowing up the walls, which means they might swarm into here as well." He said as he gave the rifle to Festus.

"Especially now that some them escaped they know where he is, which means they must have regrouped somewhere close outside this room." Jack said.

"Think we can keep in touch with telepathy?"

"Saying that we should use telepathy implies that you want us to split up and I think that is the worst idea They'll just recapture us one by one if we do that, plus we'll need to make sure you and Fluttershy are safe," Ember said. "I'd imagine it would be hard to lay your own life in someone else's hands but sometimes it has to happen. Let's just stay close for now at least, Please." She sounded as if it wasn't her asking more of demanding.

Celestia and Festus readied at the door the guards left out of, Festus was nervous about the enemies that were waiting on the other side. "Ember... Ready?"

Ember nodded as she ran over and kicked the door open and they few took a second to look at their surroundings.

Jack nodded.

'She is right, while i am aware i need to protected, having someone else risking their lives me in such a manner has never been easy, these very methods have costed me very badly in the past.' Jack thought.

But he did not complain against her words as he took cover somewhere far away from the door.

 

 

The guards where behind the corners of the hallways, but tensed up when they hear the door flying open, they where waiting for the right moment to strike, as they where still behind cover.

The trio of Fighters didn't move at first after a few seconds they started to slowly advance creeping forward as Festus aimed his gun down the hall, They got really close to the first corner and Ember hit her mace against the side of the way they weren't on just to see if they were there...

With Jack Fluttershy was starting to get more upset "I'm sorry." She whispered to him before looking away.

The guards went into action when they suddenly heard the mace clang against the wall.

2 of them scrambled around the corner and were about to fire, while the other 2 guards quickly stood on the other side of the hallway and stayed in cover, but aimed their weapons to give their allies fire support.

 

Jack looked at Fluttershy briefly.

"It is alright, there is nothing to be ashamed about, i din't want you guys ending up here in the first place, its a very dangerous place." he said before looking up from his cover

Ember swung the mace around her body with ease the weapon slamming into the guard sending him flying. Festus reacted faster than Celestia did firing a few bullets at the guard, one of which went through his gas mask hitting him in the face.

Celestia stopped quietly "You guys didn't let me have one." She said jokingly, she rounded the corner and saw the other two guards.

 

Fluttershy looked as if she was going to say something else but after Festus fired his gun she got really low to the ground, scared since she didn't know who was shooting

When the guards saw Celestia one of them started firing at her while the other one started retreating through the hallways, intending on warning his fellows in command.

 

Jack did not know what to do until he had a idea.

He laid down next to her and wrapped and arm around her, and whispered something in her ear.

"Close your eyes and cover your ears." he whispered.

Celestia snapped up a barrier at the last second and sighed when she saw it worked then she fired a sunbolt at her foe. When it hit it left a hole in the enemy.

Ember gave Celestia a thumbs up "Good job there, princess." Celestia rolled her eyes as response.

 

Fluttershy nodded and did as Jack said. She covered her ears with her hooves and closed her eyes. Jack could still feel her shaking in fear, but it was starting to lessen.

The last guard had ran to warn his fellow allies.

 

Jack then stood up as looked at his surroundings.

"Alright, so that was the first part." he said with relief.

"You guys doing alright over there?" he called out to the others.

Ember noticed that the guard ran to be a warning cursing under her breath. "Yea!" She said back to him. "We're ok for now though I don't know how many more foes we're gonna face. Are you two ok?"

Festus was moving forward slowly he, alone, turned the next corner and Festus went to fire his gun but he heard a *clack* but he didn't know what that meant. He realized his weapon wasn't working so he put his hands up in surrender. Hoping they'd show mercy on him.

"Yes, I and Fluttershy are not hurt, and she seemed to have calmed down a very little more than before." Jack said.

He, however, heard suddenly the shouting of guards in the distance because of his ears, and he knew it was trouble.

 

The guards had Festus surrounded, at least 10 of them.

"ON YOUR KNEES!" One of the guards shouted to Festus.

 

Jack knew this was trouble, and did something very unexpected, he gathered a bit of magic in his hand and then slammed with all his strength straight into the metal wall.

While it did not create a dent it was not meant for that, he did it to create a soundwave that rang straight from the walls which echoed through the hallways, which caused the guards who wher aiming at Festus to suddenly drop their weapons as they got utterly surprised by the sudden vibration that the metal walls were giving off.

The diversion is just what Festus needed, he quickly picked up one of the weapons the soldiers had dropped, it was a shotgun this time, he aimed it and fired losing his balance from the kick on that gun but compensating for it quickly and doing so for the next few shots he fired off. Ember flew in behind him taking down 2 others with her mace. "You ok."

"Yea," Festus said weakly as he took a deep breath "Let's just get out of here." He also whispered silent thanks to Jack somehow he knew that was his doing.

Fluttershy moved a bit and looked as if she wanted to get up, "Should we catch up with the others?" She asked quietly.

Jack nodded

As he was about to move, he suddenly heard beeping and his eyes widened.

"Get down!" He yelled to Fluttershy as he jumped back as the wall he had hit before suddenly exploded as a group of guards had breached it from the other side.

As they ran into the room, Jack jumped from his cover and assaulted the first guard, when he caught his target off guard, he disarmed him and held a pistol to the guards head, using him as a shield as 12 guards were aiming their weapons at him.

"Get back!!!" Jack roared at the guards, he held the pistol's barrel against the guards head that he was holding.

But to his bad luck, the enemy guards starting unloading their weapons straight at Jack.

Luckily he did not get hit by any of the bullets as his hostage was taking all the damage, but Jack got covered by lots of its blood as the guard was utterly killed as it got riddled by bullets.

Jack drew a pin from one of the hand grenades that was attached his hostage's belt and then threw his once alive shield straight at the guards.

When the grenade exploded, about 3 guards got killed, but the remaining 9 had moved back a bit and had outrun the explosion.

When the smoke cleared, the guards had come back and started firing at Jack again, which he, in turn, jumped to the side and fired back with his pistol, but sadly for him, his only cover had just been reduced to nothing but a pile of ashes.
