"Hey. It's ok... He's gone now." Evelyn said. ehr normal tine changed to something softer and smoother similar to Luna when she was trying to calm him down. "I think Luna's right though all this is too much for you little one. I have some good news for you though. I decided to go with you to Cyril. I know it's not gonna help much but it may help you a bit." Evelyn wasn't sure what else to do and she was pretty sure Windphaser had hurt him somehow.

Jack gave a weak nod

"Is.. it ok if i sleep now? I am feeling so drained and weak.. i...." He did not know how to finish his sentence, he was clinging to uphold remaining conscious for so much longer as his brain malfunction has been messing him up pretty bad.

Evelyn nodded gently "Of course Jack." Evelyn wanted to say what WIndphaser did was wrong but he did have a point in his ramblings "You really do need it right now kid..." She laid down on the ground herself not letting Jack go, however, "It'll be alright. Promise."

Jack closed his eyes as he was still in the embrace.

He did know if he should say anything back to her,  but he did know what to say in the first place.

All he wanted to do now was just sleep, and so he fell asleep after a few minutes.

Windphaser's eyes were still red from his blood boiling rather than the blue color they where normally when he found Karthpsire talking with the guards He leaned against a wall silently waiting for him to finish what he was doing. His sword was still glowing green from earlier. "When you have a moment Karthspire." He said patiently.

Karthspire eyed him for a moment before finishing his talk with the guards, who nodded and walked away, and so Karthspire walked up to Windphaser.

"What is it that you wanted to discuss with me? I can see from your eyes that it must be something very serious unless that comes from a different matter?" He asked him.

"It is a serious matter but not one you should concern yourself with," Windphaser said blinking and his eyes changing back to normal. "I came to say that everyone is ready. They're all waiting on you to address them and we can get moving." He motioned for Karth to walk back with him "Jack and Evelyn are there and they were the only ones we were waiting on. Just... Whenever you wish to address them..." he waved a hood and started to walk away.

"Thanks for the heads up, I am coming." Karthspire said

As they were arriving there, Karthspire saw the other troops standing ready, but he noticed Evelyn laying on the ground.

"Evelyn, what is going on?" He asked her, in a softer tone than usual.

"Oh, Jack just got a little overworked," Evelyn said smiling, not wanting to bring it back up. "He's sleeping right now. Is... something wrong?" Evelyn's tone shifted from happy to concered, she didn't want to wake Jack up early otherwise he'd still be brain fried.

"Evelyn, are you being truthful with me? I saw Windphaser coming to me with blood red eyes, which doesn't happen unless certain circumstances. You can be honest with me, just because i am a leader here doesn't mean i am unreasonable, and nothing bad would happen, but i would need to know what is has been going on here, i can't exactly help if i don't know what it is." Kathspire asked her with a raised eyebrow.

Windphaser had almost appeared behind Karthspire. "She is lying. Something's inside Jack's head trying to force him to do nothing but fight. She knows it's there but refuses to accept the fact something needs to be done about it. I did something about it on the other hand. My sword simply cut through Jacks body and hit this other soul inside him. My eyes changed because whoever it was behaved similarly to my own father. Not realizing emotions or morality exists you can understand why I'd get sick of that right."

Evelyn upon seeing Windphaser closed her wings tighter around her chest but not crushing Jack.

Karthspire frowned.

"Windphaser, are you aware that you could have killed Jack with that method? For some, it might work, but in his condition? He has a scattered mind, which means its unstable, and he was even awake when you did that. The moment you attacked that second soul, you were trying to rip something apart from him that was still connected to his brain. If Evelyn hadn't reacted the way she did, he would have died from a heart attack, because his brain could not compensate for what had been disconnected, and thus threw his entire body into disarray, while you did have a good intention, its not good to use this method out of nowhere, especially on a child." Karthspire said with disapproval.

"Evelyn, take Jack with you to Celestia, and don't let anyone else inside there except for the 3 of you, i am not going to let someone die if i can prevent it. Make sure you don't wake him tough." Karthspire said to her.

"He won't be able to fight in such a condition, and i think neither should you at the moment, he is gonna need you." Karthspire said as he then walked over the others and started the debriefing.

Windphaser looked away "Sorry. Sometimes I have difficulty controlling myself when my blood starts to do that. It's harder for someone who's not full-blooded." He said walking with Karthspire. "I'm just lucky he did survive if my anger had killed him..." He sighed Results of my father are really showing when his blood gets triggered.

Evelyne was moving carefully as to not disturb Jack and she walked into the room Celestia was in. And laid back down not saying anything to Celestia but giving her a sign to be quiet for a bit.

"That is understandable, a Raukan will have difficulty this trait without proper training and self-concentration, and given you are not full-blooded, it is even harder for you, but despite that, you are showing alot more resolve in trying to negate it than some of the recruits I had in the past. Give it a few more years and you will start to notice huge improvements in yourself control, no matter how hard you work on things, it takes time for it to pay off in the end." Karthspire said as he gave him a pat on the back.

Jack had been shifting only a little bit but this was more him moving his head in his sleep then really waking up.

Windphaser smiled and laughed a bit, He never laughed before but for once he found something amusing. "Yea. I bet when I kill my father it'll go away a lot more as well. Give he's probably 50% of my overall anger at any given time." He looked away again but he had a look of sorrow on his face.

"Yeah, that will be the case for the sure. I used to know your father back in the day, now he is a diabolical maniac, but back then he still had some form of a proper personality, but keep in mind that it was around 400 years ago, with so much time a person can grow very different. I can share your optimism tough because most of us want your father dead as well, not only he is a slave trader, but also one of the biggest traitors to exist." Karthspire said as he started smoking from a cigar.

"Yea... Traitor..." Windphaser sighed "Even though he deserves it... He's still my father... This won't be easy for me but I know that there's no other way for me to find peace in his death." He drew his sword slightly letting Karthspire look at it. "Do you happen to recognize this weapon?" He wanted to know if his father had actually used the blade or if he just wanted to keep a sword.

Karthspire inspected the blade and looked a bit eyes widened.

"You sure are lucky to have such a blade, you noticed these runes on top of it? They are ancient, and they are sourcing those powers into your sword. But yes, your father did use this, perhaps not so much on the battlefield but it was something he carried in his collection for a very good reason. You know where these blades originate from? The Blood Cult itself, because that does explain its ability to target one's soul if there is any group who master the art of these things it's them. Not only do they possess unimaginable powers, they are also one of the most skilled weapon crafters out without a doubt. They can forge blades and weapons out of almost any type of material that is solid, one common material is the bones of their slain enemies, it might be a shocking method but when they are crafted, they are also inscribed with runes that can do crazy things, things that none of us is capable off, and your blade is one of such weapons. You should be proud you carry such a relic because, despite its origins, these weapons are sought after by many, as they are known to be stronger than most other weapons. I have been trying to get my hands on Blood Cult crafted things myself, but so far i haven't been lucky, trying to replicate them is a fool's errand as they seem to craft these things with some method that none of us are aware of, its truly a thing that stands out." Karthspire said.

"Yea... You'd think I'd enjoy carrying something like this. I would probably enjoy having it if I had been given it." Windphaser said putting it back into the sheath "But I stole it so it only serves as a reminder. I'll pull all of that behind me soon however so I maybe can live it down after that." He said with a smile.

"I don't think you could consider this one stolen by yourself, as your father stole the blade before. Because I can tell you one thing, the one who made that blade did not make it so he could use it, he made it so it could be wielded by others and be carried over from one user to another. Some might see weapons as tools, but perhaps for you, it would be a good thing to consider your weapon as a loyal companion, having that mindset eases your conscious, you may feel like you stole it but, wouldn't it be that you were destined to wield that blade in the first place? Its way better off with you then just lying around in some dusty chest." Karthspire said with a smile.

"What I wouldn't do to start a pilgrimage to find the trails from the path of lost and the damned.." Karthspire muttered.

Windphaser smiled back "That is a better way to look at it." He then looked at Karthspire "When does the attack begin. I feel as though a few of us are getting rather restless sitting here myself and Maple included since the longer we wait... Well you know..."

Celestia looked up from her book and sighed. "It feels so bad when you think you've done everything the right way but then you realize you've been wrong the whole time.."

Evelyn nodded back. "Yea... Trust me, Celestia, everyone has that feeling from time to time. Everyone."

"I am afraid we will have to wait about 5 or 10 more minutes, the reason is since Jack and Evelyn will be absent from this attack, we are gonna need a replacement. We can afford 1 less, but 2? I rather not take such risk because I planned out this entire attack consisting of our numbers, improvising is not a smart idea with attacking this location, since we have to divide roles, and we ONE more person is needed to fill up all the task in this mission, what about Ember? She seemed strong back in that tournament, or is there anyone else that you know?" Karthspire asked him.

"While she is strong Ember's... not one to listen to strategy. Festus, however, is almost as strong as she is with a sword and shield and is much better at listening plus he's a lot more defensive so if we need someone to distract our foes then he's the one for it." Windphaser finished. "Though I think waiting a bit longer on Jack would be the best plan as much as he's gonna hate me..."

"Perhaps them both? Festus sounds like a great idea, and with Ember, I have no problem with her thing regarding strategies. I have been a military commander for so long, it is my job to deal with all sorts of people, even the heavily arrogant types I can deal with, her behaviour might actually be pretty damn good in the offensive case. And for Festus he is going to be a great person as well when paired with either Ember or our troops, he could distract our enemies while our soldiers kill our enemies with precision and skill." Karthspire said.

"And while I hate to admit it, Jack won't be able to fight for a while, at least not for this mission, even though I did not see him, I have known people who had such a brain malfunction before, when he will wake up  he still going to be having side effects, though not bad as a level he had before. I am fine with having only one of them, but i would prefer most if it could be them both, that way we have a better chance of preventing casualties on our side." Karthspire said.

Windphaser nodded and left Karthspire. A few hours later he came back with both the equestrian dragons.

Ember smiled "S you needed my help in the end huh?" She joked "Well I'm ready for whatever it is... Though somethings been bothering me Karthspire... How strong are you? Like I mean not to challenge you I'm just curious."
