"How strong I am? That is a question I don't hear alot, but one I am very eager to answer." Karthspire said with a chuckle.

"I am somewhat on par or a bit stronger than the first opponent you fought in that tournament, my strength does not hold place in just my physical strength or endurance, many call me a master tactician, tough this not just for commanding battles, this is infighting as well, it does depend on my objective. When i am supposed to fight an enemy but keep them alive, I use an arsenal of ways to disarm them, which is usually followed by methods of immobilizing them or keeping them unable to fight back, but in a non-lethal way. But in terms of real strength? I can say i am pretty strong, perhaps not in the way of how hard i can punch someone's jaw, but from wounds that most would die from, i am able to survive most of those and fight through the pain with relative ease, this is because from centuries worth of fighting, even during the span of 400 years, i never stopped fighting for a 3 weeks only once, i was always in the heath of the battle and on the front lines, which has made my body really durable, its the reason why the older and experienced individuals among us stand out from the rest in some cases." Karthspire said with a smile.

"And considering how you old your race is capable of becoming, you can get this advantage as well, it depends on how much you fight and how much damage your body tends to get, near death experiences may sound horrific, but it does grant one advantage, your body learns from the experience and adapts to it. These are secrets that most are forced to learn themselves, somethimes by accident. Its a good thing to remember as i don't tend to tell everyone this. I don't want to give the younger recruits an idea to constantly throw themselves into enemy fire, hoping to gain such a advantage from biting trough damage." He said.

Ember rolled her eyes "I know about our method of strength it's how I grew stronger when was young. It was hard but it worked I'm the leader of my kind now." She planted her sword into the ground "I mena it's not much compared to you... Given how big this place is."

Windphaser looked at Ember "Well size is good and all but when your subjects don't always challenge you like dragons do it's a lot easier..."

Festus laughed "He's got a point there!"

"That would depend on how you look at it. Dragons of Equestria may have been challenging like that, but this used to be a very similar case to the Raukan, or rather it used to be, it is no longer as great as it used to be back then. Thousands of years ago the Raukan used to be scattered clans and warbands, and it was during that case that many challenged each other over leadership of these clans. Those clans would not be as important as an entire kingdom that Ember rules over, but these clans were not small, they where gigantic, ranking sometimes in over 4 million members or more, so you can probably imagine such power struggles taking place immensely. It was not until after quite some time that Uriel Raukan, the first Raukan to ever been born, that he united all clans and Warband into one massive empire. As of now, the Raukan are a scattered and nomadic type of race, but back then... They used to be one of the strongest and major powers in the galaxy. They were known to produce and possesses the strongest close combat warriors during that time, carrying this title for a very long time span, perhaps even still to this day. It was during these years that the Raukan also forged an alliance with Vernomians. Together they started using battle strategies that would tear any defence apart. It would be about 450 years ago that the Raukan would also be influenced and participate in the massive civil war that the Terrans have been suffering for quite a time. It was before the destruction of Raukan that a mysterious figure appeared, and started recruiting Raukan who willingly wanted to join, appealed by power and knowledge. It was then that it would start an unnoticed horror that we call to this day the Bloodcult, but not many realise that the Blood Cult already existed before then, it didn't go under that name back then but the leader of this cult is said to be old, this age may shock you, but he has been alive for over 90 million years, I can't really how that is possible, but they have always been rather mysterious aside from their horrific rituals and methods." Karthspire said.

Ember's jaw dropped "Whoa! Leading all of that must have been the greatest challenge ever!... It's... a shame it's gone now... And brought down by it's self at that..." Ember said dissapointed "Dang..."

Festus had a similar reaction "That is amazing I can see why you all have so much pride in yourselves!" 

Windphaser nodded to the young dragon, "Yes I know all about the great and proud race that was once my people... I plan... Even though I'm only half-Ruakan to bring honor and respect back to our name.... It starts with the death of the madman known as my father..." He repeated to them "I hope you'll stay out of my way when I do."

Both of them nodded and replied "Oh course."

"Aye, it used to great all back then, all that is left is those who escaped, and while the planet Raukan itself still exist, it has become a death world, a barren ball of rocks and lava due to Valtrek's secret weapons. But from all that is destroyed, something still remains, the altar of Uriel. It was in that very place where he and his guardian, one of the Vernomian's ancient leaders where plunged into a volcano during a climactic battle against a grave danger, but something good happened during that moment. Uriel started to merge together with the Vermonian leader, and they essentially become one entity, but not just a creature or person, no... They became a towering creature of flame, with large horns and massive wings made of fire, some claim that fire was, in fact, Uriel's fury emanating around him. It was after that battle that the entity ran out of time as the energy that was giving it life had expired, and so he turned to stone. Many of us see Uriel Raukan as the true lord of our race. But not only was a statue left behind, but also his weapon. The Axe of Raukan, it is a axe that is rumoured to be the strongest weapon to ever exist, not just because of its build or material, but its abilities as well, not only is it capable of nullyfing magic upon impact, it is capable of tearing a in reality with ease. Wich means traveling between realms is child's play for the person that wields the axe itself. Many want to claim it, but the Axe only chooses those who he deems worthy, wich involves specific traits. Raukan are by far the most likely candidate. Even the Vernomians and the Dragons of Equestria would be likely candidates as they possess some of the traits as well. Tough i haven't ever heard of anyone else who has managed to claim the axe, not many try to pilgrimage to Raukan themselves, but those who make it to the axe, they all have been declined. Not even a pure heart is required for this, what the axe wants the most is a mighty warrior, so that the axe can be wielded once more againts our foes." Karthspire said.

"I want to try," Ember said immediately almost drooling at the idea of using that weapon.

Windphaser sighed he knew she was gonna say that. "Well... Raukan would require a *Spacecraft* to get to and we don't have one of those right now. Let's focus on saving Fluttershy for now alright?"

"Yea alright," Ember replied.

"To get that axe, it requires the participant to beat the physical spirit of Uriel in combat, because only those who are able to beat him will be granted the axe itself. If you are planning on claiming that axe, you would need to do very long and good training sessions to push your body to even greater heights. Because Uriel's strength is no exaggeration, it was his sheer power that even managed to unite all those clans together in the first place. But if you happen to decide when you want to travel there, I would like to accompany to here as well, it been far too long since I visited my home planet, even if it is reduced to a barren rock now." Karthspire said with a smile.

It was quite sometime later that Jack started to wake up, he was still a bit tuckered out, but he was awake.

"G-Guys? Where am i?? I can't.... remember very well." Jack said, or rather tried to say as he was sometimes was faltering in finishing his sentences.

"If she ends up doing it she needs a weapon that can hurt his spirit too not just anything will harm something without a body... My sword isn't something you'd want to use either... Perhaps my father has something you'd like?" Wind phaser said "And he's right. It would like be fighting the one who ruled before Celestia and Luna... And no... Not discord. I mean the precursor of Equestria itself... I am correct on this right Karthspire?"

Evelyn smiled and opened her wings. "It's ok. You're safe now. That's what matters. But we are in the building with Celestia in it if you need to know Jack." She said with a smile

"You are close there, but his case is a bit different from the usual spirits of the death. From what I know, once the battle begins, the statue would go, and new life would be glimmered straight into the entity, or rather, his spirit would return into the statue until the dual is over, wich would grand the statue its physical body back. Ember will have to rely on a strong weapon tough, because not only you would have to worry about Uriel's strenght, but since they merged togheter, you would also have to worry about the insanely thick plating that the Vernomian used to have as a skin. I would have to do some more research on this as you would something crazily strong to penetrate trough that. I could try to get a weapon that would make you able to damage him, but it will take time." Karthspire said.

Jack rubbed his head as a headache was boiling in his head.

"I am glad to see you guys again. What exactly did happen before that? All I remember that we were heading to that debriefing, but everything after that I don't seem to remember for some reason." Jack said with a smile.

Jack had lost that part of his memory, and it would be wise for him to not remember it again.

Ember chuckled "Thick armor? What about a hammer that shoots explosives." She joked "Pretty sure that would work."

Windphaser seemed confused "It... Wouldn't"

"I was joking." Ember said in a serious tone. "Whatever. Anyways... The attack?"

Evelyn and Jack looked at each other and Evelyn said to him "It was nothing. You... fell off the saddle and hit your head bad."

"Yes, Betamor will be leading the attack, and just to make sure, we should keep radio communication, those communicators i gave you all should work well." Karthspire said.

He then looked at Betamor.

"You know what to do Betamor, keep well." Karthspire said to him.

"Of course sir, may we all strive to the end." Betamor said back as they all started heading out.

Jack looked a bit surprised.

"That seems bad, i am lucky i did not break any bones during my fall.. I guess some fresh air would do good againts this pain." Jack said with a smile.

Ember, Windphaser, and Festus all quickly started following Betamor Windphaser were closest to him "Your ready for this?" He asked "It's not something we can take lightly

Ember and Festus Met up with Maple and Woody "AH, Maple and the Half-Dragon"

"Stop calling me that." Woody quickly replied "A little bothersome."

Maple chuckled "Well it is true."

Evelyn followed Jack outside, She didn't want him to see Windphaser and be reminded of what happened.

"I am ready as I will ever be, it has become a rather common routine for me to lead these kinds of attacks, it is going to take a while before we get close to that encampment," Betamor said back.

"But he is right, we can't really take this lightly, we will be up against heavy resistance, which means we will need to take our time with engaging them. Turrets, mechs, heavy strains of soldiers, they have plenty of them. Which means when we end up engaging them you will have to go from cover to cover. Once we arrive closer to their encampment i will explain my plan in better dept." He said.

"So what about that attack? I haven't heard anything about it yet, shall we head there? They might be waiting for us." Jack asked with a curious expression.

"I know." Windpaser said "But trust me. We've got the strength to make it through this." He looked back at Woody in particular "Especially the one I trained myself... He's got ways to go but he's getting there and I know he of all of us, is ready for this." He smiled at him.

"The... Attack?" Evelyn said obviously knowing what he was talking about "I don't know what you're talking about..."

"Perhaps, but strength is not the thing that makes it all, it will become rather useless if the execution is poor. While i don't doubt about the execution of his plans, i do worry about overconfidence. Thinking that you can do it is good, but it becomes a danger to everyone else if you don't know when to back down. There are moments when i know i won't be able to defeat it, so i fall back. I much rather do that then keep it to the last stand where i would eventually die for nothing. I presume you all know when to fall back? I will give you a good advice, once you hear the mechanical howl of their biggest war machine, you retreat, those things are so thick and metal plated that all of our attacks would be laughable against those things." Betamor said.

"No offence, but I just want to make sure, I don't intend to turn this mission into a futile sacrifice for some of us because i know types who are daredevil's in this thing." he said with a sigh.

"You know, that attack that we were going to participate in before? Didn't we train for that?" Jack asked her.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"I know that too." Windpaser said to him sounding a little grim "But... I can't run from him. Nor can I lose to him. I defeat him or I die. There's no other way that this should, or is going to play out. I trust you to make sure that we are... uninterrupted by both his and our forces."

"Oh that..." Evelyn said nervously "Karthspire saw you get hurt like that. He later decided it'd be best if we didn't go with them. You are valuable after all."

"I am afraid I can't guarantee anything when we lead the assault on his base, Karthspire will be leading the attack, and it will an ALL OUT assault, meaning nothing will be held back. But even with his brilliant strategies, I can't promise you would be uninterrupted, we can try to prevent interruptions, but your father will be the one who will make sure there are interruptions, he is very cunning, the first thing I would expect from him is to lay a trap and boobytrap the entire room with explosives, he is not going to play fair. Keep that in mind, he may be your father but he is not one to care for family, all he cares about is collection and progress, which involves manipulation and betraying others in the worst ways possible, when you face him, DON'T let the father-son bond drag you down, kill him and be done with it before he will trick you." Betamor warned as he was looking a bit around.

"We are almost there, just a bit further, we should head to that spot to go through the plan." Betamor said as he pointed at a high vantage point, which gave the view over the outpost itself.

"Do you have an idea what we could do? I am pretty bored, to be honest." Jack said as he looked around.

"I'd watch the Yellow bat and the one that doesn't match." Windphaser recommended pointing to the siblings "They might try to head in without hearing the plan first. I understand that however, this is their mother we are talking about..." Wind watched them closely waiting for one of them to do something reckless. Mostly watching Maple.

Celestia walked out of the building "Jack, Have you met Windphaser yet? Apparently, he's Half-Pony, Half-Raukan. Odd huh?"

Evelyn smacked herself in the face

"It's a good thing you tell me that, isn't Maple a captain tough? Isn't she supposed to set an example to the lower ranking soldiers to not do these kinds of things? I guess discipline is perhaps not as strong in the Equestrian military compared to what we are taught, but each their own I guess." Betamor mentioned.

"Anyway, i really hope they DON'T let that happen, from what you told me about Woody, he is perhaps less likely to this, you trained him after all. Could you perhaps do me a favour and jank her out of there if she ends up doing it? I wish i could do it myself but i have a squad to lead, plus I have to constantly be vigilant. We just don't have room for these kinds of errors, not with this kind of outpost that we are attacking." Betamor said with a sigh.

He then mentioned for everyone to come over to the spot as he was looking at the outpost with binoculars.

"Wow, that is pretty odd indeed, but how is that possible? O wait... Star Wright... Yeah, it's her son I realise now." Jack said.

"Tough i haven't met him yet, i think..." He said as he was scratching his chin.

"She was." Windphaser corrected "After her death, her second in command started leading. He still doesn't know she's back. Most of Equestria doesn't, She's a martyr and a fighter at the same time... A great strategy if you ask me."

The siblings were talking about... something but it probably wasn't important

"Strange... you were-" Evelyn smacked Celestia in the face.

"Is.. that what you ponies call a *boop*?" Evelyn said a bit after that.

Celestia looked at Evelyn confused. "Well technically... But you aren't supposed to just hit them."

"That is indeed, smart, its an even better strategy against your enemies. Though sadly I am not sure if she could use that to her advantage this point, the only ones who benefit most from this are deserters, assassins and those who wish to step away from the path of battle altogether." Betamor noted.

"Alright everyone, I have spotted 3 mech's on the front, along with a detachment of 40 soldiers, but at the same time, they make use of long-range heat weapons that burn through armour, which they use specifically against vehicles such as tanks. I don't know yet what we will be facing inside, but we can discover that along the way. A detachment of drones might also popup the moment we attack. We have anti-vehicle weaponry ourselves, but we might need some people who can distract them, which does not include engaging them all together, but just drawing their fire, taking cover is smart with those mech's there in the first place, it will give my squad the chance to take the mechs. Any volunteers?" Betamor asked.

"Even I was not aware what this *boop*, meant." Jack said with a bit of a laugh.

"Say, Celestia, did they took that diary with them when they came over here?" Jack asked her.

When he asked for volunteers, A hoof, a paw, and 2 claws went up. Maple, Woody, Ember, and Festus all walked up close. Maple spoke first. "It's only for the best since we can't wield equipment like that anyways. It is best for us Equestrians to do it." She explained "How's that sound to you?"

Windphaser smiled and nodded "Sounds good, Once the mechs are down I'll get inside and find out where Fluttershy is."

"Diary? No, they didn't it's still here. Why?" Celestia asked

"I have to admit, you Equestrian's sure don't back down from this opportunity, most would hesitate about having to draw fire from so many enemies at the same time, but considering you are with so many at the same time, I guess that makes it easier. Very well." Betamor said with a smile.

He then looked at Windphaser.

"Hold on, I will be sending someone with you, he is not just a soldier but also is one of an experienced hacker when it comes to getting into their systems and infrastructure, his name is Matiel. You do what you are good at, perhaps assist him in the hacking but let him do the main routine of it, I think you are better in killing those enemies you face then hacking in the first place." Betamor said as he then walked a bit closer.

"All of you should get into position when it's all ready, give me a hand signal and we can get straight into the action, this is a perfect ambush." He said.

"I am thinking about reading it trough entirely this time, i only had a bit of time to study trough it last time, and i think it will be interesting for you, it even holds information that seems to be directed to Equestria in its very early days." Jack said with a smile.

Maple shrugged "The 4 of us should be more than enough to handle it, with my and Ember's strength Festus and his shield and Woody's magic! Trust us on this and Good luck to you." The equestrians thn moved to a better position. Getting ready to fight a lot of enemies

Celestia suddenly puts her book down. "I can radio Twilight to get Spike to send it here. It wouldn' take long only a few minutes or so." Celestia walked away to go find a radio.

"Moving over to the radio channel. Varius, are you in position?" Betamor asked.

"Yes sir, as well as the rest of us, we  are ready to bring doom to those overgrown baby carriers." A voice responded back over the radio.

"That's what I like to hear, now, it's up to you 4 for to get this party started, start whenever you are ready and we will follow with an unleashment of hell towards them, Goodluck." Betamor said over the radio to the Equestrians.

"Can't believe we didn't have a spell for transporting letters and books from these crazy distances." Jack said to himself with irony.
