I'm getting tired of so many people claiming that the Mane 5 were so much better in the movie, this is my essay explaining why I completely disagree.

Your explaining is really well. :Pip-giggle:

Regarding the comparison between Izzy and Pinkie Pie, I think people see what they have in common as creators, which is openness and cheerfulness. That's what makes them think they are similar. Actually they are very different.

Pinkie Pie shows her side as a strategist. She understands each pony and knows how to make each one happy. And her childhood experiences have made her even more obsessive about seeking fun.
Izzy is more of an innocent artist. She cares more about how to express herself through her creations, and how to make the world a better place through her creations, and ignores what other ponies think of her.

I think the main G5's characters did pretty well in the Make Your Mark and Tell Your Tale.
After all, the film is only 1 hour and 30 minutes long, and with the limited information I got through the film, I only got to see the most obvious traits of the characters.
Whereas in the Make Your Mark and Tell Your Tale, I was able to see those main characters of G5 in a more complex way....

I think the psychological portrayal of Misty Brightdawn in the Make Your Mark was done excellently compared to similar characters in G4. You can see that everything she does fits the psychology.
