Aligner dropped his pen.

" Who would've thought, that all that happened within a week... And i almost died for this... I knew I should've stayed in the lab."

He picked his pen and began to right down his report.

" Well it's been nice knowing you ponys... So i guess illy be sending this report." He then picked up his stuff and heads to the exit and once again, bowed down and gave his thanks to them.

" Again, thank you." 

He began to trot back to the academy to give his report.

*As Monsoon continued to heal GS, he couldn't help feeling bad about his injuries. He continued to feel like he was the blame for it. Then Phoenix came in.*

"Is he awake yet?" *She asked, nervously.*

"No," *Monsoon replied.* "But he is still alive. Somehow."

"Well, when he does wake up, let me know, I have something I want to tell him, and something I want to show him."

"Will do."

* Back in Ponyville . . . *

*Rich made it back to Ponyville safe and sound without any other interruptions, he told Slipstream about Shrapnel. Slipstream was worried about what "punishment" Shrapnel was in for, but he thanked Rich nonetheless. Rich then left. He intended to go the nearby quarry that was just outside of Gastly Gorge, when he saw Dan in front of him.*

"So uh," *he said.* "What brings you here?"

*He paused at the word 'friend.' It had been a long time since Dan had ever thought of him as that. But he was happy to know that deep down. Way deep down. Dan still cared for him.*

Aligner returned to the academy and gave his report.

He noticed the head Mistress disappointment.

The head mistress could only give a sigh and let it be, but this did not sit well with Aligner.

He was still able to continue with this project, as he was still important to the school.

But the feeling of shame lingers in his heart... And affected him deeply.

He continues his work... But with a different goal in mind.

".... Do not worry head mistress... I will, protect Equestria..."

The Artificer continued his work in the depths of his laboratory, beneath the school of friendship.

No one, not even the gods, the void, or the Draconici dared to enter this wasteland. Shrapnel looked around, and saw a large dark shape dash from asteroid to asteroid. He set down on a large mass of land.*

"I'm ready when you are."

"Just do it." *Shrapnel said. He looked up into the creature's eyes, and suddenly, the pain of a thousand battles came down upon him, physically, mentally, and emotionally. He writhed and struggled to remain standing.*
