vrantusmusicofficial 11 February 18 #1 Share February 18 this genre is what I go into. as it speaks to me, because I can create such nostalgic sounds within a single track...so I wonder, back in the day, did any of you listen to Drumstep back then? perhaps Melodic Drumstep? I feel like the G4 Series strongly goes with the genre...and thing is, not many people make this genre anymore so I thought, why not bring that time back? so I did. I wonder if there was at least some tracks you listened to that remind you of the 2010s, or the past time.
Espy Vibe 4,486 February 28 #2 Share February 28 I used to listen to it a bit back then, though I didn't associate it with MLP since I wasn't super into it yet. Group it with stuff like big room, festival/stadium drum & bass, brostep, edm trap, and moombahton for the bulk of my music taste until around 2016. I think Netsky had some but that's about as much as I can remember. They have lots of similarities concerning song structure. I just tended to associate drumstep with something like brostep while halftime is just much darker. It's not something I listen to much so off the top of my head I'm thinking Alix Perez, Ivy Lab, dBridge, and possibly Amit might be my favorite drumstep/halftime dnb producer. Though, he has some WILD track titles and 12" label covers; that I'll let anyone discover on their own. Amit - Pirates Reveal hidden contents I like this one, though I heard the other side Gatecrasher was HUGE back then. YouTube - Bluesky
