I stumbled across a video on YouTube (https://youtu.be/RWlFnyd7gD8?si=9O_lunj05zkS2d8F) and the murderer apparently had a account on here, https://mlpforums.com/profile/34381-prism55/content/?type=core_statuses_status&change_section=1, I just wanted to post this to commentate the victims of a horrible individual within the Being community and the MLP community in general who murdered 2 LGBT individuals and injured a woman in a bar for his political beliefs, especially with his account still lurking here

That is absolutely awful and may those who passed rest in peace. As well as I hope those who were injured are doing well and are ok.

While well intentioned I do just want to say this though about this part in the OP

Just viewing that profile alone it's not been logged into since 2015. That's ten years and is not an active user on here. Plus despite this not being the sort of content I watch I did take the time to watch the entire video. This person left the fandom it sounds like just as quickly as he joined it. By 2017 it says he was pretty much regretted being apart of the fandom going by the video and even was trashing bronies. I'm just throwing that out there as this isn't a person who would likely even want to come back here. This was a Chan and Twitter user more than anything. Plus the biggest piece here is this person is dead. 

That being said overall it is always good overall to practice internet safety because anything could happen. If you are feeling ways when interacting with someone don't hesitate to reach out to the mods on here. 

That goes for even off this site. Never hesitate to phone a friend if any sort of behaviors or actions of others have you feeling ways. Sometimes it takes another person to notice red flags. Even if you don't have anyone you could ask just go with your gut instinct. If you gotta do that much mental gymnastics on somebody maybe you shouldn't continue to interact with them or meet them in person.

If you ever decide to meet someone you met online in person always do so in a busy place with other people around and let someone else know where you are. Also another piece I want to add onto this that I don't see people mention as often. Do not hesitate to inform the staff of any establishment you are in if you end up in the position of meeting someone you probably shouldn't have. You see lots of videos on this, of bartenders especially, telling people to please come to them. For the most part people don't want to see bad things happen to other people. 

These are all just some good things to keep in mind to help you stay safe.
