Reddit How you became a fan of My Little Pony Figured it was about time I stopped lurking and actually said hello. I’m a 43-year-old dude who probably doesn’t look like your “typical” brony on paper, but here I am anyway. Proof that friendship really is magic and apparently has no age limit. My MLP journey started the classic “totally by accident” way. Years ago I was flipping channels late at night and Friendship is Magic was on. I laughed, said “okay, that was actually kinda clever,” and moved on… or so I thought. A few more episodes later I caught myself recognizing characters, humming the songs, and realizing the writing was way smarter (and funnier) than it had any right to be. Before I knew it, I was watching full episodes on purpose, appreciating the humor, the heart, and the surprisingly solid life lessons. Somewhere along the way, I stopped pretending I was “just curious” and accepted that yeah this show had me. So now I’m here to enjoy the fandom, talk ponies, share laughs, and celebrate colorful horses teaching better emotional intelligence than most TV made for adults.
