Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 July 3, 2012 Share July 3, 2012 I'm interested in buying both a video camera and a regular one, or two in one, whatever I can find. Does anyone have any recommendations? Something of good quality, and for a video camera, something that can record for a long time, etc. No specific price range, but if you can give multiple recommendations in various price ranges that will be find. Typing this fast, sorry for any typos and poor writing. LRP's opinions are subject to change without notice. Fees and penalties still apply. Fox 5,330 July 4, 2012 Share July 4, 2012 Most camcorders are now cameras, but I'd suggest looking for a camcorder with 1080p. Some good brands are Canon (both for video and photos), and Sony has great products, but a little overated... meaning you'll have to pay a little more. If your still unclear on buying a camera, or camcorder go check reviews on the product on the store's website. I'm going to be a little biased because I'm a videocamera guy, I like recording moments. Pictures, meh... I have the feature on my camcorder, however, I don't see myself taking a super professional pictures... A basic picture is fine with me. I understand if the quality of the picture is at 120% with a professional camera. (professional cameras cost alot...) I like the camcorder/camera, it does more then you want it to. If your interested for other features I'd keep focused on looking for maybe an Image Stabalizer, Zoom, Night Vision, LCD screen, and maybe some other things you could tinker with. I would suggest a camcorder, but there's way too many out there. It all depends if your doing cinematography, sport videos, or something else. If your wondering what Video Camera I have... it's a Canon Vixia HFS10 Fairly pricey camcorder, but it has a lot of nice features. Many of the things I've mentioned, except it doesn't have night vision, except it does have a lot of features on it , and it's own hard drive. Doctor XFizzle 8,669 July 4, 2012 Share July 4, 2012 I would suggest Flip cameras but those seem to be used mostly for casual video recording. Besides, I haven't heard any new news about them lately. I only thought about getting one because you can get special ones in the colors and logo of your favorite team lol.
