Notifications not coming up

Since about midnight every time I click the notifications button it starts to load, then stops and presents me with a white bar. I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this, but I was wondering what might be causing this problem.

I occasionally get that problem, although, it will say I have this # of notifications and I click it, and have more, just a small error.

MLP Forums is backed up at 3:00 AM Pacific Time every day. The entire site hangs for a minute or two during the backup as the database is locked to ensure backup integrity.

I imagine this is the "problem" you're experiencing as it sounds like this happens regularly at the same time every night.

Good thing I don't hang around MLP Forums at that time, then; otherwise, I would probably go crazy.

This happened to two or three other members, and then happened to myself. It is a problem that fixes itself if you just give it some time. Until then, just right click and open the notifications page in a new tab if you need to view your notifications.

This sometimes happens to me at random times when I'm on Ubuntu. Like, at any time.
