Extent of editing the website

I don't really know what to prefix the topic with, so I'm going with feedback, but it's more of a question. I was wondering what the extent of editing the website was. I've seen a few times such as in the Hall of Fame thread where you said stuff such as adding post count achievements and what not, but I was wondering to what extent you could edit IP.board. Just wondering, thanks!

Edit:

Also, I was wondering if you could make it so members could set a default font and size. Not much of a problem, but I always set it to the same setting and it gets a little old after 680 posts.

Thanks bunches,

Ice.

Edit 2

Also, is it possible to add a like feature for statuses and comments that would not boost your like count?

That depends on the exact additions you'd like to see to the site. IP.Board is a piece of visible-source commercial software, meaning that we can see and change all of its source code. In practice, however, using its hook and applications API is the better way to add functionality, and a wealth of third-party add-ons are available that can add many different features to the site. The prefixing system is an example of one such third-party application, as are the subscriptions system and automated welcoming message.

In all honesty, I'm not about to go ripping IPB's code up, but if there's a particular hook or application you like the look of in the IPS Marketplace, let me know. :)

Posting in other colours and styles isn't exactly an encouraged practice to begin with, so I don't currently plan to assist it in any way. I think there was an IPB hook or application that added exactly this functionality, but I'm not sure that's what we should be spending our donation money on.

No.

Why would you not want your like count to be boosted, anyway? Besides, it's just a superficial number on your profile, anyway - I never paid much attention to mine.

Just as something fun, I've seen and posted multiple comments on statuses just saying

"^like"
