So yeah. Between various other projects I am perpetually swamped with, I decided I might try to start doing an album or ep or something. Mostly for my tumblr followers and youtube subscribers (those two groups contain the same people though). But I figured "hey why don't I get feedback from people on other websites"

So this is one of the tracks I really like. It's called "Higher Than The [Cotton] Clouds" and is inspired by the http://askmellowdash.tumblr.com/ blog, which is an art blog involving a weed-smoking Rainbow Dash. The concept is funny and I figured it would be good to step beyond what I normally do and try out some stoner-esque music.


I'd like some feedback! Good? Bad? What needs improvement?

I appreciate the ambiance of the synthesizer track that plays over the beat. Sets a nice, mellow mood, which is good, considering what your song is about. I think the scale sounded a bit weird, but that's ok I guess. A tad bit "middle-eastern". Sometimes the kick part of the drum track can play really fast notes... While that can help to create a groove, it can sound bad if used too much.

Overall, It's a 5/10, in my opinion. Not bad.
