Pulcinella 1,016 August 10, 2012 Share August 10, 2012 I was just wondering how you put in text, instead of a link, like if you want to put a link to the home page, but you want it to say, IDK, Mlp Forums? Thanks for your help.

Ashbad 969 August 10, 2012 Share August 10, 2012 (edited) I'm not sure writing HTML counts as "coding", per-se; it's a markup language, not a programming language. I'd suggest you read over the useful info at w3schools.com to get you along with your knowledge of HTML markup. This doesn't work on my signature... *cries* Well, of course, you can't use HTML in your signature for various justified reasons -- hence, all that's allowed is the restrictive markup language commonly used by forums -- BBcode. tanoshii 131 August 10, 2012 Share August 10, 2012 Thanks. I'll try it now. This doesn't work either. *sobs* Hmmm. This might be because you're pasting it in WYSIWYG mode instead of markup mode. Try clicking the little lightswitch at the top-left corner of the editor, then pasting the link code again. Probably because of the formatting applied due to the code tags, but I had to use 'em otherwise it would have recognized it as a link, lol. top lel

But in the text box, there's that chain up there...you can click that after highlighting some text, and then you can link it. THIS is going to the homepage. I never said whose HP. I guess that's how it works... 2 Swoop said: If something does happen to go horribly wrong, please, blame Zoop. Frenzyhero: Lurking extraordinaire, brony impersonator. Have a question? This is the easiest way to create a link in your post, signature, or anywhere else you see the WYSIWYG editor. 2 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
