so... last week I ordered a rainbow dash and pinkie pie plush, for a cupcakes plush video i'm making. And I couldn't help but notice how crappy the design was, what's y'alls opinion on this?

It's a well known fact that Hasbro makes bad plushies Most people prefer to have a member of the brony community make a custom one for them.

Yeah, They make bad plushies. They should start thinking about hiring some bronies. They do such wonderful work at making plushies.

Basically that. There heads weren't in the right place, or they did not make these to cater to bronies. The design and cutie marks are okay, but the streamer hair...just...excuse me for a second...ugh...

I hate the hair. I liked it better when it was yarn hair in G3. At least the ponies didn't look half bald. The current hair is just horrid.

Bah, the hasbro dolls aren't that great as well. The only one that looks the same is Rarity. And the pets are all wrong! Not really expecting great merchandise from them so no surprise with the plushies P:

their designs are less than desirable and honestly they hurt to look at lol. it might cost them a bit more to make them look nicer, but it would make everybody happy, and people would actually buy them. id never find myself buying one of these tbh

Yeah, I see the Hasbro plushies and I kind of cringe, honestly. They barely even capture the style of the show, which is something the community does very well.

I dont see why, like Dontlookmenaked said, they dont start hiring bronies for plushies. Theres a huge and profitable market out there for them, and if they were of the quality of the community-made plushies, Hasbro would be making bank. Like the Rarity on ebay thats going for $615+ the last time I checked.

Still, theres a part of me that wants the plushie work to stay community-based. It's something for the community, by the community and I feel like it should stay that way, if that makes any sense.

Buy a fan-made one instead. It will be a little expensive, but is much better.
