Pix3M 607 September 21, 2012 Share September 21, 2012 http://fav.me/d5fh451 If archers were to ever make sense, I would say it would only make sense with pegasi. Made for a game project that I got myself into, but the hair will likely be changed to something more appropriate for a protagonist. It will be tactical RPG of sorts. Since you're probably gonna look at animations like these all the time if you play the game... is there anything people feel like nitpicking over? 8 My deviantArt page
Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 September 21, 2012 Share September 21, 2012 Looks great, I must agree that the pegasi are the only race that seem martial enough to actually employ bows (need your fronthooves free after all). Maybe add a quiver and/or some wrapping and hook to better pull the string. My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. ~Chaos~ 3,967 September 21, 2012 Share September 21, 2012 It looks fantastic, clean and smooth, and that is true, it seems Pegasi would be the only ones that seem to fit being archers, great sprite, nicely done! (:
OkBuddy 586 September 21, 2012 Share September 21, 2012 Amazing sprite! Love the high quality, the smooth animation, to me it just looks flawless. And this would look great for a tactical RPG. This could also be an RPG battle idle animation. I'm a Y2K Survivor™
Crombie 32 September 21, 2012 Share September 21, 2012 (edited) The wing seems to be fluttering a little too fast in my opinion. Not much, but just enough to where it feels inconsistent with the rest of the animation. As in the body's moving fairly slowly in comparison to the wings, which are moving really fast, almost as if it's a humming bird. Aside from that, the frame rate is pretty good, I have no problems with that. I'd just say slow down the wings animation by about 1 or 2 (at max) fps if you can and try that out. (Let me see if you decide to try that, I'd be curious if whether or not it looks smoother or not.) [/edit] Actually considering the smear in the animation it may not work as well I thought. . . . The solution isn't to slow the wings by increasing the frame duration. It's to add more frames I added like three more frames to the wing's 6-frame animation and now I think it will go at a much more appropriate speed. I think this flap speed I have shown here is appropriate for times that our pegasi are moving though. My deviantArt page
