I'd never actually joined a forum before as I've always been the "lurk moar" type but, newly compelled by the power of friendship, I decided to "join the herd," as it were.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I have a history of frequenting the kind of internet alleyways that start and end with a "slash," or are just Awful. When pony reaction pictures and fanart started to pop up, I was among the incredulous bystanders convinced that the whole thing was some kind of well put-together hoax, or, failing that, an annoying new "ironic" trend.

 

I began to feign being a brony to mess with my friends and eventually forgot that it was a joke. Whoops.

 

I suppose someday I'll remember that this whole thing is just a big rannygazoo. Until then, though, hooray, ponies!

Born in 1989 to James and Melinda Lunchbox, The Great Lunchbox graduated Hartford Academy for Schizophrenics as the world's first fully-licensed Ghost-Snatching Lawyer Astronaut, with a minor in Record-Scratching and Knowing an Awful Lot.

 

Upon entering the job market, however, Lunch was unsettled to discover that there was no demand for his complex and highly sophisticated skillset, much less anyone willing to pay his outrageous fee of 25 yachts an hour.

 

As a result, I, The Great (and occasionally Powerful) Lunchbox, have returned to the higher education system as a student of Computer Science with a minor in Colorful Talking Horses.

Lurking is well and good, but the best way to figure out how things work around here is just to dive in and participate. People here are pretty receptive to new guys and new ideas, so feel free to start a new discussion or interject in an existing one at any time. Just please avail yourself of the search feature to ensure the thread you want to create doesn't already exist.

I sure hope so. I have really good friends IRL, but none of them care for MLP, so I mostly keep it to myself. But, you know, ponies are something that really should be shared with other people.

 

I was kind of apprehensive about joining a forum, seeing as I don't really know much about forum etiquette. Up until this point, forums have just sort of been of information repositories for computers or games. But, if I could meet some fine folks with whom to share my equine enthusiasm, well that would just be rad.

 

So, I just, what, start talking about things, I guess? I've been lurking for so long, I lurk Facebook, and occasionally real life. Sounds creepier than it is.
