Don't bother telling me about what to do with fixing the flaws. You can tell about the flaws... Just not what to do to fix them. I left it like this cuz I'm lazy...

 

He's getting candy... while the moon's still up.

He has to do it early cuz when he usually wakes up, the market is out of stock (What kind of market is open in the middle of the night in Equestria, anyway?) He'd do anything... and I mean ANYTHING not to have fillies throw rainbow balloons at his house by Nightmare Night. And that "anything" is to get candy. If he fails, fillies would throw rainbow-filled balloons at his house. And that would make him do cleaning, making him lose time. Too bad there is a hole in his market bag.

 

tl;dr? Here's the summary.

Dark Roast woke up early in middle of night. Dark Roast buy candy from market before stock runs out. Dark Roast don't want house full of Rainbow Balloons. Dark Roast too tired, so he no see candy fall out of bag.
