Working on my first OC

Hello all, I am working on my first OC and just finished my designee of the Cute mark. Well the first draft anyway. My OC name is Lux Brush.

I was going for a brush panting with light.

 

He will be a unicorn arts, I am thinking he will be a similar in color to the background of the cutey mark pitcher with a two tone main.

I was also thinking of going with a rather long main in a pony tail no pun intended.

 

I hope to get some critiques on my work as I progress though making my first OC. Any and all tips or trick will be welcome.
